[TOWN WIN] Darkwhite's Role Overdrive Mafia

"I have family in Hoenn! Do you know Kahili?"
"Huh. Yeah hard for us Alolan folks to not know about a previous Island Challenge winner and a current Elite Four member." Nanu casually replied, taking note of Courtney confirming Winona was the Gym Leader in Hoenn. As he absently picked up one of the "blank playing cards." "But seeing as you're related, I can't say I'm surprised that birds of a feather flock together eh?" Nanu jested lightly.

Before he turned his attention to the Skitty and the Jellicent. As he raised a curious eyebrow at their interesting responses to his 'Alolan remark'
The sound of her (current) home region caused her to perk up and calm down exponentially, and she raised her hand. "I know of Alola," she said. "I'm...part of the League there, I guess."
“Yeah, I’m Alolan,” you mutter. You aren’t sure if the other ‘Alolans’ are tourists or not. Best not to antagonist them yet since they might be able to kill you by knocking you out of the game. Honestly, turning to stone sounds better than staying as a skitty. You have to win this. “Take it all the other ex-humans like their forms?” Because it’s starting to seem like the universe only has it out for you.

"... Huh. So fellow Alolan natives are here, huh? Mind sharing where you two are from then? Cause I know a bit about the region. And I l'd like to know how you're part of the Pokémon League. Since I can't say you seem familiar." Nanu directed his last statement towards the Jellicent.

With the Island Kahuna wracking his brain if the girl was someone he knew? Before he heard the Guardian device ping ominously as there was a friendly voice who started talking through it.

[[Hey! I get that getting info about everyone is important. But shouldn't we focus more on what Dave the Mightyena said? Regarding his role in the game--] ]

"... Its not important" Nanu muttered beneath his breath. "Because the evil Mew basically implied people can be lying about whatever they have on this... Card." Nanu flipped his card over wrinkling his nose distasteful at what was written.

[[ While the device pinged again with an agreeable hum. "Oh right. Well...i guess you have a point there. Even if I still think it's important Intel. But speaking of the game, do you want me to introduce myself--] ]

"Don't bother. All I care about is if you'll be helpful or not. And if you want to chat then be my guess. Because I plan on ignoring you unless you say something important." Nanu drawled uncaringly.

With the Island Kahuna examining the device dispassionately. Now that the" chatty chatot" was objecting over his rude remark and--

Damn was this game going to be annoying. Between this stupid "guardian angel" and this.. Role that looked more troublesome than simple...

Since at this point all Nanu wanted was to go back to sleep in hopes that MAYBE this was all some elaborate dream he could wake up from and--

Someone mentioned voting right? So maybe if this becomes too problematic he could vote himself out? If this really was going to be more trouble than it's worth?

Darkwhite tossed the deck of cards in the air. They all rained down. "You can only hold one. Choose wisely~" Not that there was any way to distinguish between them until they activated...

BARTHOLOMEW:
-- oooh i call that oneeeeee

On the floor of the psychedelic void, it would have been easy to miss the small yellow rectangle lying on the ground. That is, until, it suddenly leapt into the air, unfolding itself as it glowed with a red light. It collided right into a card which stuck against its screen like it was magnetized there. A small yellow pen flew from its slot in the device. It pulled the card off of its screen, held it as if it were reading.

BARTHOLOMEW:
-- ehh, could be worse

Now that the device's screens were visible, it was able to be seen that the words came from a message typed in a primitive chat--y'all remember Pictochat, right? Technically, device hadn't made any sound, but any words displayed on it could still be "heard" without actually having to read it. Again, there was no actual sound, but so far the device's "voice" resembled that of a human boy who was just entering puberty and who had just consumed a dangerous amount of Pixie Stix.

Did you know that every single one of you have guardians floating just over your shoulder? Their voices are strange... but they can help you survive this game. As long as you hold one, everyone will be able to hear what your guardian so desperately wants to say!" She giggled. Still, that deck of cards was still in her possession.

BARTHOLOMEW:
-- oh i already knew that!! because guess what--I have a FREN
-- bro bro come out its okay dont be shy
-- :-D

[[

The newcomer's message appeared on the Pictochat screen exactly as if it had been sent from another DS. Additionally, a small hologram of a Mii popped up from a badge Darkwhite had distributed. Wearing an orange shirt, the Mii was light-skinned with glass and long-ish brown hair.

BARTHOLOMEW:
-- *whispers*
-- i think they're my onii-san :-O

[[
EQUITIAL:

-- Like, Bart, what do you think of Dragonfree?
]]

BARTHOLOMEW:
-- oh yeah!!
-- I think... I think...........
-- I think Dave is probably friendly actually!! Because of his roleclaim!!!!
-- its pretty a lot for a scum to do right off the bat, and his whole dread thingie would be kindof wierd if he was a baddie
-- wierd if he was a scum and lying OR a scum and not!!

"Not native," she corrected. "If the accent wasn't obvious, I'm a born Kalosian. Right now I live in Iki Town."

She offered Nanu a tilt of her head at his last statement. It took her a second, but she eventually realized.

"Oh. Multiverse theory," she said with a nod. "You're from a different Alola. Y'know, like...parallel universes and whatnot. Because I've never seen you at the League before, either."

"Oh. Multiverse theory," she said with a nod. "You're from a different Alola. Y'know, like...parallel universes and whatnot. Because I've never seen you at the League before, either."

"Hm. Yeah I did notice the accent which is why I was trying to wrack my brain for when the Alolan League had a Kalosian member." Nanu replied, mulling over Odette's muti-verse theory that sounded legit. "... But if we do accept the muti-verse theory then your statement sounds more reasonable. Since I doubt you'd recognize me anyway. After I declined Prof's offer to be a part of the league." Nanu said in response to Odette's own skepticism.

[[Which may have been a mistake on Nanu's part. Now that he heard the device ping and the friendly voice bark out a surprise laugh. " Decline is a strong word for saying that you were lazy and let Acerola take your place instead--" ] ]

"Oie.What happened to only speaking when it's relevant Chatot?" Nanu said tersely.

[[While the voice huffed and Nanu swore he could envision her rolling her eyes if she had a physical form / appearance. "Well how about a shit ton of nothing. Since I never agreed to those terms. And you said I could chat as much as I wanted. In exchange for you being a rude ass who is opting to ignore me--" ] ]

"Really? Then how about we try this instead." Nanu reached over and muted the device.

A move that caused the Guardian device to now be silenced. Even though it kept lighting up and pinging rapidly. Like the voice damn well knew what he did and was downright pissed at Nanu's retaliation. Based on all the text messages that he was now being spammed with and--

Well. Least it was silent for now. Even if Nanu did agree that they should still keep in mind what Dave the Mightyena said on the back burner. Because it's still too early to decide on anything right now.

But it did leave Nanu curious as to what the others thought about it. Since it didn't seem like he (or his chatty Chatot of a Guardian) were alone in his suspicions towards the sudden role claim.

Even if Nanu preferred to continue observing for the time being. While letting everyone else do the talking and investigating themselves in the meantime.

Alright, she had an idea of what she wanted to say! The kirlia clapped her hands together in hopes of grabbing the attention of those around her. "Hi, hello everyone. My name's Shimmer. It's a pleasure to meet all of you and I'm sure you're charmed to meet me." She took a small bow.

"As for the mightyena's claim, I'm inclined to believe it for the moment. For one thing, if his ability does truly make him appear as guilty, then it makes sense that he'd want to reveal that as soon as possible. Allow my guardian to elaborate."

[[Thanks, Shimmer. Here's the thing: free is very commonly either eliminated early in the game or investigated early in the game by the cop, due to being good at passing as town when on the mafia side. One of the recommendations on the mafia Wiki for playing a miller is to either claim immediately or else try to lay low and not do anything to get investigated. Which is... Kind of difficult when people just naturally want to investigate you! I definitely think caution is warranted, as it's a easy fake claim for mafia, but I also think this a logical town play. Well, at least the jellyfish thing is a tourist who decides to visit an overcrowded colony of an island. Probably. Maybe she’s from a different, better Alola. One where the fallers come from.

“Paniola, sort of.” The alternative is Tapu Village. You wouldn’t really call that home, though. Just a resting place. “And what’s a miller, anyway?”

[[If someone investigates it will read that he wants to kill you, but he actually doesn’t.]]

That sounds suspicious. Saying up front ‘hey I know I look like I’m stabbing you, but, trust me, I’m not.’

Alright, this was a lot to process.

Ajia had been flipping through the rulebook, muttering to herself. Several times she found herself automatically reaching for the voice in the back of her head only to find that she wasn't there. (She wasn't there. Going at things alone was... unfamiliar. Lonely.)

Well, she wasn't quite alone, was she? She did have that Guardian Stone, whatever it was. The stone hadn't spoken yet, so Ajia had no idea if it would be anything like her partner back home.

"Alright, so..."--Ajia took a deep breath--"we have to start this day with no night info. That's different from the other games, but not the worst situation. It'll be really hard to catch any mafia today, but we can still use this day to get a feel for everyone's playstyle. The big thing that jumps out at me is that this does mean that the mafia's first kill won't be totally blind, like it normally would be? So I think we should be really, really careful about giving anything away about what we can do. Even more than usual." The last thing anyone needed was for an investigator to get killed without even being able to watch a single person.

She turned to the Mightyena, carefully considering what he'd said.

"So, uh, Dave, was it? I guess it's more useful than not to have all your info out in the open, given what your card is," Ajia said, putting a paw to her chin. "It's good for everyone know ahead of time. Avoiding 6 dread shouldn't be toooo hard? If everyone just stays away..."

His card explanation seemed legit. The level of complexity was similar to Ajia's own card. Revealing it now was an equally good move, regardless of whose side he was on. Although it did mean that not only would no one be investigating him, anyone with any sort of watch power would also be staying away. Hm.

Ajia decided to consider it neutral for now.

Some of the logs in the guidebook implied that Dave's guardian was always the first to be investigated. How ironic that he'd drawn a card that always looked guilty. Then again, Ajia knew better than anyone that truth was often stranger than fiction.

After this short message, longer paragraphs of text spat out, one after the other. The messages were too long to fit on the DS's screens, but the Mii hologram abruptly switched to a black chalkboard. The DS lent its stylus to help write at mach speed, and of course the words transmitted to everyone's mind soundlessly and instantaneously just as before.

[[
Windskull expresses basically the same thoughts I had about DF's roleclaim. People who have played previous games with DF knows that she's a target for info-roles. Instant roleclaim is pretty much the only valid move for miller!Dragonfree.

Now, for the Dread thing, I may be interpreting things wrong, but I read it as Dreaded people will know they've been Dreaded? Obviously the whole concept of someone just randomly being informed They Have Dread is.. somewhat ominous. As a result, suspicious. I wouldn't expect her to have roleclaimed without being Miller, but being Miller is going to be sus so yeahhh makes sense for her to also get that out of the way.

I was actually previously thinking that this Dread seems significantly more town-aligned than not, but actually yeah I guess Chibi is right. The thing I thought was that good players also wouldn't want to target DF, like healers and watchers and whatnot. To be fair on the opposing view though, I don't think there is much an info-role could glean with this and DF's Miller claim. Obviously Cop is out, so that leaves, uh: Role Cop, Tracker, and maybe weird Namo roles that could potentially catch a scum!Free? Mehhh idk I seek thoughts

I think though, that even if DF is scum, she wouldn't be lying about the Dread. It would be a difficult and bizarre thing to just come up with on the fly. So far, I lean on the side of town!DF right now.

Yes, this. Also points in the favor of town!Chibi. Obviously, Mafia would not want to point this out. Even if they wanted to gain Town cred, they could have waited a while to "realize" this, y'know

Also, speaking of this: I know for the last few games it has been my tradition to go for a Day 1 lynch. But, uh, going to have to say big 'idk' today. A portion of this is because I have no idea how Namo roles are going to play into things. Also, what Chibi just said. Basically, if you try to lynch D1, what you get besides a possible scum hit is information from people throwing shots and defending themselves. But the info Town would get is also advising the Mafia about a solid N1 kill, so if we like mis-aim for the Cop and force them to roleclaim, that would obviously be a no-no. So... not voting abstain yet, but I'm leery about my usual strategy :'(

[[....You know people can lie, right? We can't just trust that Mightyena! He could be making everything up so we don't investigate him.]]
Dave scowled at the voice of the guardian. Blessingly his hadn't shown up yet, but knowing these games was only a matter of time. "Well, that'd be a pretty counterproductive fucking lie, wouldn't it? Don't want you to investigate me so I tell you upfront that you'd get a guilty result? If I were mafia I'd be fucking thrilled if you wasted your investigations on the guy you already know is going to come up guilty, but I'm not, so don't."

"Interesting," he said, gaze sliding over to the Mightyena, "that you have a claim that can't be checked by another's night action without a dread count being placed on their head."
"Yeah. Real thrilled about that one." Dave threw a glare up at Sword. Darkwhite. Why was she hosting fucking mafia games in the board game dimension as her loopy evil alter-ego? Cibus being just too peaceful didn't exactly justify this shit.

"You have to give someone two each night. Then you can give one out by voting at the end of the day. *And* anyone who checks on you in the night gets one, too? So essentially someone can end up with *four* all in one day, and if you've got a beef with anyone here, you can eliminate them in three nights, just like that?"
"And yeah. You've got it. Everything I touch turns to shit. Take it up with her, not me." Again, he threw an irritated gesture at Darkwhite. "I'm telling you all how that bit works because I don't want to inadvertently cripple or kill half the town because they're trying to heal me or whatever the fuck. Take it or leave it."

Sidney scowled. "If you really are town, might be worth trying to find that cure of yours, unless you've got a better way to not accidentally start killing off your buddies."
"I mean, if someone's got the ability to cure it I'd say they shouldn't go revealing who they are. For all I know it's a red herring she put in there for shits and giggles, but if not, keep it on the down low and don't get targeted."

Dave turned. A... a fucking Skitty. Sickeningly adorable pincushion tail and all. God help that guy.

"Yeah, I didn't exactly rejoice when I got turned into a Poochyena, but that's worse, no contest."

He smirked at the people arguing with their 'guardian angels'. At least this group didn't just act like they didn't hear the fucking things. Maybe there was something to be said for the communication devices.

His card explanation seemed legit. The level of complexity was similar to Ajia's own card. Revealing it now was an equally good move, regardless of whose side he was on. Although it did mean that not only would no one be investigating him, anyone with any sort of watch power would also be staying away. Hm.
...oh. There was his guardian, finally. Informing him unbidden about what this teenage girl was thinking. Jesus Christ.

"I mean, you only get plus one for targeting me. Theoretically safe if you have to, unless the mafia's got more dread to spread out. Believe me, if you've got a power that could actually verify that I'm not a ridiculously fucking brazen mafioso trying to coast the game in plain sight, I'd be thrilled. I'm not actually sure yet if the miller thing extends to shit other than the standard investigation deal, or if Darkwhite'll even let me know that, but my guess is no. But of course you've got no reason to trust me on that either."

"According to the card, people are told about their dread count at the end of the phase, but not about me or where it came from. So yeah, you'll know if you're at dread count three or whatever. And yeah, obviously I'm not voting for someone who says they're at dread three. If I do, you just fucking kill me."

"I mean, if someone's got the ability to cure it I'd say they shouldn't go revealing who they are. For all I know it's a red herring she put in there for shits and giggles, but if not, keep it on the down low and don't get targeted."
"Hey man," Sidney began, his scowl softening, "sorry 'bout all that. We gotta deal with the cards we're dealt, even if they're shit. Just wanted to make sure I had my head right with what your dread stuff does and all that. Seems like a pretty crazy power to give the scum considering they can just off us in the night anyway."

"And nah, I agree on your second point." Sidney shook his head, his cacturne grimace curving into a grin. It still looked terrifying. "Since we know what you can do, and we're told when you give somebody dread, we don't have to out a cure. Better keep that under wraps just in case."

"Gonna be real, I'm kinda glad you came forward with some kinda information, though. I thought we'd be stuck here all day chit-chatting about nothing." He gave a sidelong glance at the Ninetales, who he caught looking at him from the corner of her eye. She'd been awfully friendly, way too friendly if you asked him. Something didn't sit right... Had she said "Magma Admin" before?? She didn't remind him of any Magma Admin he'd crossed paths with before. Not psychotic enough. He banished the thought. For now.

"I'm gonna have to agree with the... whatever the floating yellow PokeNav lookin thing is. According my talking bottlecap, this is the first time they've seen the first day happen before the first night. Means the bad guys get a real jump on things, and we're left guessing. There's a lotta people here, too. If everyone's got some crazy shit like the Mightyena here, guessing on the first day could end up kinda bad for everyone. Or not? I don't fuckin know."

Sidney suddenly found himself missing Absol's pokeball at his hip.

Dave's guardian whispered to him again, urgent. He rolled his eyes.

"Okay, confirmation that other investigative roles, anything that's not an alignment reading, should work fine on me. So please try that to your heart's content." He paused. "What? The fuck are you talking about? What fucking strings?"

But now that he paid attention he could feel it, like a gentle pull on a cobweb attached to his brain. "Shit. What." His heartbeat quickened sickeningly. "Something's in my fucking head. Anyone else feel that?"

[[I've been informed by PM that something has attached mental strings to Dave, and while it's not yet in control, it'll become overwhelming and someone else will gain control and win if too many others are affected by it. Seems like a day action someone took, and that probably if they can do it to so-and-so many players they'll get a third-party victory? Something like that.

I have a wild speculative theory that this might have happened because of my claim, one way or another - be careful. Could be something entirely different, but as a GM I've previously had a third party that could kill people based on guessing their roles, and have talked about it with Namo present - maybe this thing can get you if you reveal your associated legendary, for instance? Pure speculation, and we should focus on rooting out the actual mafia, but either way this sounds like Nothing Good. There also could be a downside to revealing your status as having been targeted by this, so prooobably cautioning against that for now unless you have a very good reason to, but at least now we know it's a thing.

Or, I mean, theoretically maybe there's just a role that can just send arbitrary messages to other players and it's hoping I'll blab about it and make everyone go nuts over a possible third party victory that doesn't actually exist, that'd also be hilarious.]]

"Of course you've orchestrated some of these games too, you sick fuck," Dave growled.

[[Thanks, Dave. I'll go leave you alone.]]

“Take it all the other ex-humans like their forms?”
Ajia didn't miss the dry edge to his voice. "Ah, well, I don't mind mine," she said brightly, raising a paw. She wasn't sure how that would sound coming from someone who'd been turned into his evolved form, though.

Ajia watched the text appearing on the holographic chalkboard with a fascinated grin. On the whole, she found herself agreeing with a lot of what the yellow game console and its partner were saying.

"Yeah, see, that was my thinking--I can't think of any role that would even make sense to target him. Tracker, I guess?" She shook her head. "Even if he were mafia, he wouldn't really need to lie about who he targets, now that he's told us how the power works. Unless someone has a good idea on how to clear him, I think we ought to stay away. I guess that means we can't heal him, but..." But if the mafia targeted him, that meant they weren't targeting the super-important inforoles. Seemed a bit mean to just say that, though.

[[Actually, I have some thoughts on the whole Darkrai thing.]]

Ajia jumped at the sudden voice from nowhere. "Was that you?" she asked, leaning forward to stare directly at the stone. It was so different than the psychic link she was used to--nothing like the comforting presence of her patron back home.

[[Yep. Anyway, what I wanted to say is: Darkrai as a sinister-looking, but not actually malicious character seems like a pretty Namocore thing to do. I was undecided about about how much to read into that, but I figured it was worth mentioning, all things considered.]]

"'Namocore'?" Ajia replied, tilting her head.

[[Don't worry about it.]]

"Shame!" Courtney huffed. "How can you be so certain? What sort of powers does a..." She gestured awkwardly to the Yveltal, "... you have? Can you contact the dead?"
She cupped her chin in thought. "Wait, if your world's dead stays dead, how can the guy you're chasing still be alive if he's supposed to be dead? Is he dead and alive? Wouldn't that mean he's from a different world? Do your rules not apply to people from different worlds? I know my world doesn't when Litno got there."
"Naturally, no--or at least, I'm not fully certain," the yveltal sighed, shaking her head. "What I do know is that he is somewhere out there and I will find him."

“I mean I guess,” she said quietly. “This one didn’t go by ‘Yveltal’ though. It was something with an A…” she trailed off as she tapped her cheek again. “A…Alt…Altaria?” A frown followed. “No, that doesn’t make sense. Alt-something?”
Her eyes snapped attentively on the Jellicent at the first few syllables of that supposed yveltal's name, which quickly turned towards confusion. "...Isn't Altaria a dragon-type--"

[[Mademoiselle!]]

A voice rang out from the strange black stone, interrupting Mademoiselle's train of thought.

[[Stop faffing about describing your revenge-quest and pay attention to the game. Look at the mightyena.]]

He dropped the card again with an exasperated sigh. "I've got something else too that I can't say, but why the fuck would you even believe me? Even if we verify the whole dread thing, it's not exactly proof I'm not in the mafia. So this is all basically unfalsifiable bullshit. I'm saying it now because otherwise one of you fuckers is going to try to investigate me and it'll all sound like a hastily assembled excuse and we're all going to waste a fuckload of time."
Oh thank Arceus, a lead. Mademoiselle carefully considered his words before speaking up. "On the one hand, it can be seen as an easy claim for scum to make to divert attention elsewhere but on the other--" she flipped through the guidebook to read over the events of a previous game "--it reminds me of the game where someone immediately claimed to be a Firefighter in a game with an Arsonist. It's a bold move, which is perhaps why it comes off more as a town play than a scum one." She lowered her head in thought. "His willingness to be read by any confirming role is far too risky a play for scum to make, so for the time being, I will tentatively trust him."

I've been informed by PM that something has attached mental strings to Dave, and while it's not yet in control, it'll become overwhelming and someone else will gain control and win if too many others are affected by it. Seems like a day action someone took, and that probably if they can do it to so-and-so many players they'll get a third-party victory? Something like that.
The voice from Mademoiselle's pet rock pipped up again in response to Dave's.

[[That's mildly worrying but if your theory about it being linked to role-claims is true, then we ought to keep everything under wraps unless it is absolutely necessary so we can focus our time and energy on scum-hunting.]]

"Indeed," Mademoiselle spat back at the rock. "As for the topic of elimination, I can't say whether or not lynching today is a good idea or not. Normally, I am one to take that risk as there might be some information gained during the opening night but in a game where we do not have such a luxury, it feels reckless unless a major revelation decides to make itself known."

Okay. So that...definitely didn't sound a good sign. Even without the added context from Dave's "Guardian" about what just transpired. Since Nanu felt a sudden sense of uneasiness. Now that other players were steadily starting to reveal or activate their "abilities". And if Dave did get "targeted" because he role-claimed then Bulu only knows what's going to happen now that the Mightyena has something "attached to him" and--

Shit. So, now Dave's going to have to be monitored if the group had no idea what kind of power had latched onto him? And with some people discussing about how they should maybe lynch someone via the vote. Despite there being not enough info to randomly vote someone potentially innocent out--

Then the best option might be to abstain for the 1st day. Until at least most of them survived the night so that they'd have something more to work with.

...Provided that Nanu's "guardian" would agree to this assessment. Once he reluctantly un-muted the device so that the friendly voice could speak up again.

As Nanu rubbed the back of his neck and fidgeted uncomfortably at the awkward silence. "...Hey, Chatot? So...I'm thinking that we might have gotten on the wrong foot here--"

[["Gee, ya think you fucking asshat?" The friendly voice flatly stated, sounding as peeved as Nanu suspected. Before the voice sighed and Nanu could picture her glimpsing over at Dave the Mightyena. "...But given how dire the situation is right now, I think we can afford to let bygones be bygones. So, we can check and see if Dave's going to be okay. From whatever unknown power has latched onto him." The voice replied worriedly.]]

Which helped alleviate some of Nanu's concerns as to whether this "Guardian" was a malicious or good entity. Since she sounded sincere enough that the Island Kahuna felt he could trust her temporarily.

For now anyway.

"Hm. Well from the sounds of it, we can't really do much about it. Aside from trusting whatever Dave and this Guardian of his is saying." Nanu muttered absently.

[[As he listened to the device blip a few times before the voice spoke up again with a similar contemplative tone. "Aye. That's true since I suspect we have a 3rd party win that is involved in this game. In addition to the normal rules surrounding mafia and town's win conditions. However 3rd party also means that this individual is a threat to mafia as well? So, with that in mind I agree with your assessments about abstaining the vote for today. Until we get more information during Night 1 and part of Day 2"]]

"...Huh. Not a bad observation, kid. You've done this before?" Nanu asked hopefully, in case maybe this Guardian did have experience playing this twisted unknown game--

[[Until the Guardian device blipped quietly and the voice sounded slightly embarrassed. "Uh....no not really. Since this is my first time playing I'm afraid. But...while we're talking, how about you ask Dave how he's feeling? Since he sounds pretty scared about what's going--"]]

"Yeah sorry. Can't hear you. I think there's a weak connection over on my end." Nanu silenced the device once more.

With the Island Kahuna keeping the additional information Dave and the others have said in the back of his mind. As Nanu was at least feeling slightly less suspicious of Dave than he was earlier.

Since there are more important things to worry about. If the entire group now had to worry about both mafia and a potential 3rd party win that could be very problematic from the sounds of it.

We gotta deal with the cards we're dealt

"Card," Darkwhite said, raising a claw. "You all only got one card."

She twirled around and floated above them all. "Look at all this talking, and it hasn't even been half the day! Well, I guess it kind of has. Speaking of which, we're now in midday! Uhuhu... hu... Not that anyone cast any votes yet. I guess I should let you guys know about that, huh?" She snapped her claws and a loud pop sounded.

[[

To vote, all you have to do is add, at the bottom of your post, a line that says:

Vote: [option]

In that format. Valid [option]s are:
Abstain (not casting a vote at all. This is the default option.)
No Elimination (actively voting not to eliminate anybody.)
Player name
Character name (same as the corresponding player name)

Around midday, current votes will be tallied as a checkpoint for tracking purposes.
