[[Wind was capable of dismantling fake claims, as seen with Bluwii. That's a prime candidate for an elimination target.]]
[[RIP Wind, gg and thanks for busting Blu for us. That's my thinking tbh, the second part of your post. Wind was someone that's a basically a confirmed town kill with a useful power vs another option?]][[ oof. well-played, windskull. to my recollection windskull had no power to discern the mafia’s identities, so i’m wondering if there was something about their abilities or the setup that the mafia were worried about getting out. on the other hand windskull was basically locktown forever after burying blu so maybe the motivation was just that. -q ]]
[[ if i was mafia i would not have been particularly worried about that unless one of us had made a fake claim already, since windskull can’t check truth until the following night, so with this thinking i’m curious whose claim you think might be fake. -q ]][[Wind was capable of dismantling fake claims, as seen with Bluwii. That's a prime candidate for an elimination target.]]
[[I think the two are partially mutually exclusive. If one is scum, then I'm pretty sure that the other is innocent as their argument does not come off as something that was staged. Town vs. Town is still possible, but I'm inclined to believe that one is scum. There are arguments pointing towards one or the other and I do believe we should scrutinise them closely.[[ something i would like to start the day with: i’m curious whether people think there is a wolf between starlight/pano or if y’all feel their conflict yesterday was town vs town. -q ]]
It could be a big ol' case of WIFOM, but I'm pretty certain that Mafia shot wind so she couldn't verify Blossom's claim, which has me squinting my eyes quite a bit.]][[ if i was mafia i would not have been particularly worried about that unless one of us had made a fake claim already, since windskull can’t check truth until the following night, so with this thinking i’m curious whose claim you think might be fake. -q ]]
"Hi, hi!" Courtney chimed as she trotted up to the statue of the Kirlia girl. "Hmm, too bad about this one. She was a strong player and good at taking on other peoples' claims. Anyway! Can confirm, I received two dread last night. Says I shouldn't be mechanically affected yet. Two more and I will be disabled, correct?" She smiled at the Mightyena. "Feel free to look into me--I know I've made myself a suspect."Dave exhaled through his nose as he looked at the petrified Kirlia. "Still just one person. Mafia's not exactly doing a great job eliminating us, are they?"
[[I think the thing about the number of deaths ramping up as the game goes on makes sense.]]
"Well, hi to the supposed active fucking third-party today. Maybe tonight'll be spicier." Dave waved a paw in sarcastic greeting. "Sans's fucking gaming cult didn't kill anyone, so that helps. Guessing Shimmer just got targeted for being an inforole, but funny thing is there's probably a lot the mafia'd like to know about the setup too, isn't there? Guessing there's something they're worried about us finding out."
[[Anything else?]]
"I gave the Dread to Courtney. Didn't particularly like her, somebody who hasn't had any before."
[[Well, as a starting point if no other information comes out, I think we should try to look into her, and finish reading more of Fray.]]
"Sure. Whatever. I hate this fucking game, and it's going to take eons at this rate, and you're playing half of it without me anyway so I don't see why I'm even here. Did I mention you're a dickweed?"
[[You have.]]
[[I think this post of mine about sums up all my feelings about the issue. I don't think I was leaning heavily on scum before that tbh, mostly not overtly town vibes from Starlight before that, and her post that I quote there kind of tipped the scales. Did not like the dismissal of Blossom's chances despite 1/4 odds not being that bad?? And then her first post today now being on board with finding out what Blossom knows despite being so against it the previous day? Has me doing a big :thonk: Not to mention the night skip and saying "it's okay if we lose inforoles" because of it this early on with so few night deaths... I'm still not the best at figuring out what not!Towny posts look like, but that kinda felt like one if you were to ask me.]][[ @Panoramic_Vacuum, when/if you have time, i'd be curious to hear a case from you (if you believe this) as for why starlight might be scum rather than just a villager tunnelled on you. -q ]]
Sidney's gaze slid over to the Alolan Meowth, expectantly.
View attachment 2374"Not sure about you all, but I'm interested to hear from the Meowth. What'd you find out last night about that beast? Anything? Who'd you clear, or did you catch the bastard?"
She looked at the Alolan Meowth. "And you! Let's hear from you! Any luck in catching that 'beast' last night? Don't worry--I fully believe you're innocent. I'll stand by you and help you eliminate whoever you've got! I think that crotchety old Mightyena is right: the number of deaths will increase as the game goes on. So let's find this beast and take him out!"
Not the beast... but you had inspected yourself instead?
[[ 😂 50% apology accepted. might be owing you a 50% apology myself]][[Well, there goes my theory lol. Pano, I am 50% sorry for assuming you were the beast. I still, however, think you're up to no good, so that 50% is unapologetic.
Sounds like we should hear from Bench now.]]
[[This sounds like some form of swapping or deflection happened, resulting in your result actually being a result of inspecting yourself rather than Bench.]]Arc / Bench... Not the beast... but you had inspected yourself instead?
[[Thanks for speaking up! Can you please elaborate a bit more here? Do you mean you can see if she only interacts with you, or who she interacts with in total? Because if so, then yours and Blossom's claims don't match up, as she said she inspected three of us and you say she only inspected you.]][[I'm going to have to claim here. My power is a Tracker. I tracked Blossom last night, and I saw that she interacted with only a single person, myself.]]
