I'm currently plotting a longfic (84 chapters and counting) set in post game Legends Arceus. I suppose it could be considered a journeyfic since it extends across nearly all regions, including an OC region based on China called Minshan.

I'm a heavy shipper and my current ships are appraisal (Adaman/Volo), Kieran/Florian, and Crispin/Drayton. Always up for rambling about my fic or ships

Outside of writing or outlining or retail hell, I'm either watching TV, cuddling with my cats, or playing some sort of video game.

Hey all,

I got introduced to the franchise by Ruby & Sapphire. Have held every main game title since and began to write pokemon stories in 2012. First couple ones were a bit rough and not to my liking, but so far I've got an ongoing Sun & Moon novelization on FFN that's now about 90-ish chapters long and on the home stretch with the Elite 4 battles being written as of now. One down, three to go. Once that's done, I'd like to see about getting a novelization about Scarlet & Violet launched. Figured this would be a good spot to Xpost alongside FFN & AO3.

I work for the airlines and have a fanatical interest in aviation. If anyone's got travel tips, feel free to share them with me because I'll probably end up checking it out.

Looking forward to reading and posting here! Glad you've all made me feel welcome so far!

My name is SnapDragon, though you can call me Snap. I've admittedly never used a forum before and I don't really think I have too much time to start frequently now (I mainly stick to Discord), but I've been meaning to join TR for a while now.

I'm pretty much entirely a PMD writer, and I've been working on my fic, Flowerbeds, since 2021. I'll likely start uploading that here tonight.

As for me, I'm currently working as a librarian assistant on my way towards a full time position, and will likely keep working on that for several years alongside my fic writing.

Welcome! I'm definitely down for a good game novelization, and Scarlet/Violet have some great material to work with. I'll be happy to check that out once you've started it. In the meantime, good luck getting through the E4 battles; writing a bunch of big fights in a row can be exhausting for sure. I hope you enjoy your time on Thousand Roads! Anyways! I've been writing my PMD fic Royal Replacement for a little under a year now, and a couple people over on Discord recommended me to port my fic here. Outside of here you can also find my fic on Ao3 and FFN. I still don't know much about how forums work, since I tend to stick to traditional social medias and Discord most of the time, though I have been slowly warming up to the forum environment.

I am currently a college student majoring in Computer Science Games, so progress for my fic can be slow due to the college workload at times. T-T

Outside of writing and college I am an avid rhythm game enjoyer (o!m Reform Alpha/Yoake LN, Chunithm 15.88, Phigros 15.51), so aside from killing my hands writing I also love destroying my hands over those games as well.

Hi, there. I'm JacobChu! I've been writing fanfiction on and off since 2012, and have been writing Pokémon fan fiction for a while now.
I have a few Pokémon gijinka OC's that I've been plotting a series of stories for tentatively called "Universe JC", it is an AU loosely based off the anime, but you might just see some of the characters from the games and/or manga appear.
Outside of here, you can find me on DeviantArt and FFN mainly. (I use Discord as well)
Outside of writing and the Pokémon fandom, I like trains, history, baseball, and might start learning how to play the guitar here soon. I can also do cartoonish voices/impressions/different accents, and I've been told that I make a good stand-up comedian.
Oh yeah, I'm into retro gaming as well. (N64, GameCube, SEGA Genesis, Dreamcast)

Hi!! I joined the Discord server the other day, and figured I'd give the forum a looksie too.

I've been writing Pokemon fics for around 8 years now, I'm a big fan of Sinnoh and Hoenn and worldbuilding. My first fic was Child of Thorns, which took me five years to finish and is almost a million words long, lol, so unfortunately the quality at the start is very different from the quality at the end, but what can you do. I also wrote Wysteria Files, set in the same universe, and I'm planning to write another long fic in that same verse at some point in the future. Right now I'm focusing on a story about Johto and Unown called 'So We can Sing our Songs'.

Anyway, nice to be here. I'm gonna give some things a read while I'm around.

Oh nice! Yeah, I'll introduce my fics there then. And as for recommendations, I usually like fics that are more realistic and down-to-earth, with how it'd be for real people to live in a world with Pokemon.

Sure thing! A couple options depending on the kind of tone you're looking for.

If you're interested in something more cozy, "living life alongside pokémon" sort of story, you might enjoy Dragonspiral's Children. There's a bit of high-flying pokéworld stuff in there with a brief appearance by Team Plasma, but it's mostly a "growing up with a dragon as part of the family" kind of tale.

If on the other hand you're interested in "realistic" in the sense of "how would training operate if the pokémon world was a capitalist hellscape like our own (also camping sucks)," you might enjoy the journeyfic Broken Things!
