10. What traditions are observed in your world?
Theres a ton of interlocking holidays.
Theres two main caste of people.
Regioners (those who identify as part of kanto, johto, unova, kalos, ect the "game areas")
And Off Main-Landers (the expats from italy, australia and japan that rub shlulder to shpulders on island remnanylt of anchient greece ithica, beyond canonical Sea Foam islands, for example. Newzealland and ireland is somewhere out there by Galar, surprisigly unspoiled...)
Regioners usually tend to be nature worshipers. 'Mon, who are considered inbetween human and element, are celibrated. Legends have holidays about thier acomplishments, that usually are sprinkled around equinox celibrathions.
Theres days dedicated to love, familial and eros, good harvest, historical events. While they differ from Region to Region, its universal that they have simular themes.
Off main landers... are a bit more hard headed. Most cling to old, pre-mon celibrations and rituals as the backing of thier holidays.
Though Kanto is a bit ecentric since its considered Home of the Otaku. March 10th, December 6th, and November 16th are huuuge Kanto centric holidays where the whole Region channels thier inner geek. National days of cosplay are king.
Beyond holidays.. eachbhouse decides its own traditions. While Kanto has a number of Japense coded behaviors and tastes, how each house comports itself is considered private.
If visiting.. its consodered smart of ASK a lot of questiond.
Because you could have one home where shoes are taken off upon entry, chopsticks and fish are the food take aways, and quiet reserve is the way... and those souls could be living right next to a rolicking, high drauma, soprano esk, soap going full romantic arch crash and burn... at full voice.
But outside thier homes, theres a great deal of effort to mirror a cheery tranquility. Taboos about looking too somber but also too silly are paramount. Its a tug and forth between exuberence, poise, and prompt efficiency... whicch leads to different cultures tending to coagulate together socially
