Buffet isn't sure; word of mouth can do strange things, especially when they have a resident junior Overseer among their ranks in the form of Bean. He doesn't seem too concerned about it, and wonders openly if such a story is common due to how influential humans can become.
This seems like a very dismissive answer to Raven. Especially since it wasn't the Overseers who intervened, and based on her knowledge, wouldn't have. She does ask Bean about it directly, however:

Are incidents with humans ascending to Arceus' position something that the Overseers deal with frequently? If not, what are some examples of them if there are any he's aware of at all?

He must know about the rumor turned myth, can he give any insight on it, such as where it originated?

Owen, hearing about this, is starting to look into it as well, figuring that his Perceive might give him further insight.

Mellow continues her day to day activities. The ones that are closest to her don't seem to really be affected in the long run...

Yet some may or may not begin exhibiting the same conditions. Just on a smaller scale. More than half of the money they "find" and the gifts they are "given" end up with Mellow. Raven is beginning to get very concerned for Mellow but is at a loss. She tries to figure out some kind of plan that will bring this to an end with Owen.

Pictures or videos taken of the effected individuals show that they are being swarmed by the same little triangular "insects".

He does however, ask at least once if Xernatus knows anything about a strange giant meteorite object that went missing from the Amp Plains. Did they ever see anything like that?

Otherwise he'll offer to bring food to them, and just check in on him every couple days.

Xernatus warms up relatively quickly over a few days, and eventually even laughs at a few of the things Koa says. However, he has no idea what he's talking about regarding the meteor. He still hesitates to go into Destiny Village, but day by day seems more ready to do so. He mentions that he gets a few other visitors as well, namely Owen and Truffle like before, and begins to wonder if he really would be accepted if he returned.

Buffet is still unsure, but knows that these incidents are very hit or miss. That's all Buffet knows, after having a talk with Bean.

Mellow continues her day to day activities. The ones that are closest to her don't seem to really be affected in the long run...

Owen sits Mellow down with Raven and urges her to communicate and control these strange appearances; they are part of her, and therefore she needs to control them so it doesn't unnerve everyone. Ever since the moon incident and a few angry remarks from Karat, their public perception has done down somewhat, and they were already on shaky ground. If this continues, it might drive things down further.

After talking with Raven and Owen, Mellow makes a serious attempt at interacting with whatever those things are.

Soon afterwards, she quietly and very meekly requests a vacation and goes on a trip to one of the more tropical regions. The strange phenomenon stops almost immediately after she goes. She goes to meditation and mindfulness sessions while there.

Raven continues to investigate the myth and it's origins, goes through a list of who could have ordered a relocation of the Unown to the moon, and checks to see if there are any tales of otherworldly visitors before the arrival of the Omen heroes...

While Mellow is on vacation, Raven moves in temporarily to help with keeping her garden healthy. The kitchen table is quickly covered with books , documents, and notes from Raven's research and findings. She also discusses them with Diyem, and Owen when he's there.

Nate visits Chip to see how he's doing and how the rebuild of the lab is coming. He's wondering whether the mewtwo tracker's back online and if Chip has picked up anything interesting.

He also wonders if Chip knows where he can get meteorological or astronomical records for Cibus--if anybody makes a point of keeping an eye on the atmosphere and moon. The unown must have gotten sent up to the moon at some point, and he's curious when. Since there's probably Blacklight involved, the event may not be directly visible, but perhaps some kind of distortion or anomaly. If Chip doesn't have that kind of info himself, would it be worthwhile to talk to Jirachi about this, or perhaps Rayquaza?

Without consulting either Starr or Nate, Rocky goes to visit Silver and invites him to come stay at their house. It's nice and quiet, and everybody would love to have him and his team around!

Koa keeps visiting Xernatus. He seems to have an easier time hanging out with him than the team, in some ways. He shares some more personal feelings sometimes and asks Xernatus if he remembers anything more about the moment he managed to break free and make the choice to help Diyem. How did it feel, what was he thinking?

Otherwise, he assures Xernatus that he has his back, and offers to accompany him when he's ready to go into the village.

Aside from that, he brings of book about names and their meanings from the library and gives it to Xernatus so they can pick out a new name if they want.

There were not many stories that the team did not already know, though some deep digging revealed that, indeed, there seemed to be very brief sightings of Eien here and there. Apparently she really had visited at a time before the Dark Matter crisis... Though that was just confirmation of what had happened.

Brisa and Luz both check in on Truffle and Leg to see how they're doing with Maple incapacitated.

Truffle is holding up, but he's clearly shaken and hopes for Maple's safe return. Leg has been sewing Maple plushies nonstop.

Nate visits Chip to see how he's doing and how the rebuild of the lab is coming. He's wondering whether the mewtwo tracker's back online and if Chip has picked up anything interesting.

It's back online! It's going crazy at the Tree of Life. Otherwise, it corresponds to Karat or Silver. And for some reason, there seem to be occasional blips coming from a third location in town, which Chip suspects is a false positive. After all, sometimes it's at the Colosseum, or flying around Destiny Village. Last time Chip looked at the sky when there was one like that, it was just Owen flying around with Zekrom doing some large-body flight practice. False positive? Chip only mentions this shortly after everyone begins huddling over to the training facility for some reason.

Rayquaza doesn't really keep logs, according to Chip. There weren't really any strong logs made about it, but there had been a few sightings now and then. Still, there was so much noise with 'unknown flying objects' in the sky that seeing actual Unown flying objects would take too long with the little time they had.

Without consulting either Starr or Nate, Rocky goes to visit Silver and invites him to come stay at their house. It's nice and quiet, and everybody would love to have him and his team around!

This can only go well, and may require a scene depending on the fallout involved with any of the participants. Silver's Pokemon seem curious and cheerful, though.

He shares some more personal feelings sometimes and asks Xernatus if he remembers anything more about the moment he managed to break free and make the choice to help Diyem. How did it feel, what was he thinking?

Xernatus doesn't really know. Just that something felt right about helping Diyem, like a moment of clarity.

After the Owen mind-dive, Dave heads to the Holding Cells to talk to Green again.

First, he's going to ask him about what Owen just told them - that he was there with Blacklight Mewtwo and seemed not to know what he was doing. Presumably this was when he was ostensibly working as a spy for Giovanni. Does he remember that? If so, did he get the sense back then that Blacklight Mewtwo had his own agenda? Was he aware of the parasite being planted in Owen?

Next, he'll cautiously explain Bahamut's idea of diving into his mind as well, or potentially directing him in his own mindscape. Would he be willing to try this, to repair his mind, uncover what he's forgotten, heal the damage? It'd have to be after they fight Maple, but...

Then, he'll explain he went to see Yellow, and ask if Green'd be willing to come along and talk to him to persuade him they're being manipulated (but if Green is reluctant, he won't press it too hard; he is a fragile substitute, and on one level Dave worries about that glint in Yellow's eye and whether there might be a chance he'd attack Green - he might tentatively raise the possibility to Green). If he agrees, he's taking him to the Tree of Life for that, mostly hanging back but watching for any danger, listening for whether they say anything interesting.

Either way, he asks Green if he has any final tips regarding talking to Soda Prime at Spirit's Edge.

Celeste, having surely heard about the state Deoxys is in by now, will try to see if Wish has any impact at all, even knowing it won't reverse everything. (That is, assuming Karat will allow it.) If it has a nonzero impact he'll be willing to come back whenever he gets the chance.

In the Voidlands, Vix spends all her time with any Void Shadows that would have her. The shapeless blob ones are, for some reason, her favorites. Every now and then Vix chats with Garro about the Voidlands, and has apologized for her anger when she first met him.

Scrafty, also obviously in the voidlands, Vibes... while also being a worried shadow to Vix.

Nate's surprised that there's so much mewtwo action going down in the Tree of Life, and he's also interested in these potential false positives the device has been picking up. Did those only start recently, or have they been popping up for a while? And has it only ever been one stray signal that can't be accounted for as an actual signal?

No signals that seem to correspond, to, say, S'more's office, if false positives were registering a while back?

Rocky wants to check in on Pop and Cola. If he's allowed, he'll contact them over his badge and ask how they're doing. Do they know when they might be able to come back?

Rocky hopes Cola isn't scared or bored. He'll offer to play one of the badge's games with Cola. Maybe some kind of shooty game, if there is one?

Bahamut's shade approaches Joule and asks how to procure a steady source of radiance for the upcoming fight. He explains Bahamut's Brilliant Beacon and how it requires radiance from others. He wants to know who is strong enough to approach the Tree with the team and offer such power.

Joule cheerfully says that he has no idea! Perhaps someone who uses Radiance a lot! Perhaps Icetales? Cynthian? Brisa?

First, he's going to ask him about what Owen just told them - that he was there with Blacklight Mewtwo and seemed not to know what he was doing. Presumably this was when he was ostensibly working as a spy for Giovanni. Does he remember that? If so, did he get the sense back then that Blacklight Mewtwo had his own agenda? Was he aware of the parasite being planted in Owen?

Green seems hazy about it, but he does remember trying to wipe Owen's memories so he wasn't caught there before Truffle. It would have given things away. Couldn't kill him--he probably would go right back to Diyem...

Green briefly wonders why he knew Diyem was involved. This bothers him. He asks for the topic to be dropped, saying that there wasn't really anything new he had to be convinced of anyway.

Next, he'll cautiously explain Bahamut's idea of diving into his mind as well, or potentially directing him in his own mindscape. Would he be willing to try this, to repair his mind, uncover what he's forgotten, heal the damage? It'd have to be after they fight Maple, but...

Green is even more hesitant, not wanting to break his mind--if he dies, he might send all that knowledge to Prime, and then...

More hesitance, but he agrees. After some talking with Poffin and officials, he's allowed to go. Yellow and Green have a heated exchange, but it's nothing Dave didn't already know. Eventually, though, Yellow seemed convinced... but still felt a weak compulsion to stay by the Tree. Green, too, remarked that he had to take care of Flesh or make sure he was being taken care of. Dave has the distinct sensation that these are lingering orders of their autonomous nature.

Either way, he asks Green if he has any final tips regarding talking to Soda Prime at Spirit's Edge.

"This is fucking risky, you know. Watch what you say. Saying the wrong thing might make him vaporize a town."

Celeste, having surely heard about the state Deoxys is in by now, will try to see if Wish has any impact at all, even knowing it won't reverse everything. (That is, assuming Karat will allow it.) If it has a nonzero impact he'll be willing to come back whenever he gets the chance.

Deoxys, according to Karat, says that it felt nice, but there was no noticeable improvement.

It all seemed to be recent, and all corresponded--after grudgingly poring over and cross-referencing everyone's locations--to Owen's location. However, after the incident in the facility, the false positives stopped altogether.

Cola seems to be in much better spirits, and Pop seems more relaxed in general. They still have no disclosed where they are, only that if they are needed, they would be able to return at any time. They plan to return soon now that things seem safer, but Pop is protective of Cola. Despite their rocky start, Pop and Cola seem to be much more like a father-son than before.

Cola still doesn't like reading, though.

Raven gathers all information they have on the Blacklight Mew-Two's activity and puts it in chronological order, with not a detail left out. She then compares it to Soda's actions...at least, what they know of them. She looks for any records of other strange things happening during that timeframe, including things they already encountered for reference. With that information, Raven goes to the Sand Continent, and searches through the remains of Giovanni's lab. There might be something in the surrounding area that they missed. Documents, records, anything she can find. She had a feeling that something about that meteorite, the big one, had to be a key part of all this... But what, she wasn't sure.

If she finds nothing at the abandoned lab, Raven goes and asks the locals had they seen anything unusual. It was worth a shot.

Like if S'more wasn't a guildmaster, or if Soda wasn't part of the God Squad... or if Giovanni wasn't a dick. Somehow, Puddle calling Giovanni a dick didn't entirely sound like an insult.

If she finds nothing at the abandoned lab, Raven goes and asks the locals had they seen anything unusual. It was worth a shot.

Not a lot of new information was appearing. At the lab itself, it was totally empty at this point, though curiously, it seemed like a lot of what had been formed there was rapidly degrading, somehow. What should have taken decades of disrepair to form had instead taken only a few months. Perhaps it was because it was hastily made by Unown...?

Vix asks Diyem about how he plans to get everyone from his Voidlands to Maple's. You know, out of curiosity.

"I am going to take you all into mine, and then fire you into Maple's chest. It sounds silly... but I know it will work."

Puddle visits the imprisoned Soda Substitute, S'more, and Giovanni, bringing beer for Soda, blue raspberry soda for S'more, and some water for Giovanni. It spends the day talking with them about nothing really important, but it does ask them what they would do if they could do something else. Like if S'more wasn't a guildmaster, or if Soda wasn't part of the God Squad... or if Giovanni wasn't a dick. Somehow, Puddle calling Giovanni a dick didn't entirely sound like an insult.

They aren't too receptive, but Green appreciates the gesture and has some chitchat. S'more isn't sure what else he'd do; he'd perhaps work under the guild rather than as Guildmaster, if he had to do something. Green remarked that he would probably just hang around at home doing some remote job, depending on the world. And Giovanni claims that he'd make a casino.

After a chance chat with Toffee during an impromptu visit to the Guild premises, Brisa asks Owen what to expect from a fight with her.

Owen seems hesitant at first, mentioning that he doesn't know the details. Everything about Toffee suggests that she isn't that experienced of a fighter. But when he'd asked Poffin about it, Poffin looked uncomfortable and mentioned that he wasn't interested in battling her. Eventually, he learned from S'more that apparently Toffee is a 'blackout battler.' She does not remember her fights... but apparently is extremely strong when set off.

Luz asks any Legendary 'mon, aspirant, or learned experts she can find what the criteria are for becoming an ascension candidate.

There weren't a lot of common details, but one thing in particular seemed clear--it required already having credibility over great power, and oftentimes, if one is seeking out that power, they will likely not be the ones eligible to get it.

Nate visits Giovanni down in the holding cells. He's wondering what the guy's take is on all this moon shit. Is he feeling weird, now that shit is really going down up there? He'll bring cards, since Giovanni seemed to enjoy a game last time.

He'll also check in on the Soda substitute. No particular questions, but he'll offer to cut the guy in on a game if he's interested.

Giovanni doesn't know. He's still not properly tuned with his apparent embodiment duties with the moon. But he does have a sense of where it is at all times; he wonders if he can change it. However, without access to the sky, he only speculates and shrugs.

Green seems a little receptive.

Joule seemed really down when Rocky asked for help earlier, so Rocky's going to check in on him and make sure he's doing okay. Is he all right with the plan for saving Maple? What does he think of the news that Telum is still inside Maple somehow? Is there anything Rocky can do to make things easier for him or the other members of the God Squad?

Joule only hopes that Maple will be okay. He says that he might find a way to help, even if he's vulnerable to being corrupted. He hopes there's a way to chip in.

Koa invites Xernatus to watch a colosseum match. If he doesn't want to go in person, understandably, Koa'll drag a tv out to the Pines or use his badge to watch it on. he tells Xernatus all about Team Spectrum and how awesome they are and are using these powers to fight back and save the world.

He tells Xernatus that it shouldn't matter what you once did, but who you choose to be. Especially if you were controlled.

He brings up the fight at the tree with Diyem again, and asks if he's given it any thought. He also offers to do some light sparring, far away from prying eyes.

If Xernatus is willing, he'll also go into town to get more comfortable. Maybe get some food or try the library, if he wants.
