Dave returns to the holding cells the next day with more food and beer to talk to the Soda substitute again. He tries to mostly avoid the subject of the plan or Soda's memories this time; instead he gripes about people being idiots, asks about more of what the God Squad has been up to and Soda's thoughts on his teammates, asks whether he's been talking to Soda Prime or the substitutes on the various occasions they've talked, and at one point tentatively broaches the topic of what Soda had been thinking regarding Cola before the Destiny Tower incident when Substitutes split off.

Cynthian pays Nutmeg a visit and asks her what and how much she knows about the tree from her ancient history as Mew,

"Not a damn clue." Any basic information, Team Spectrum already knows. Apparently the Tree was always more Xerneas' focus.

Sounds like it's time to visit Paradise! Nate will investigate the big pokémon situation with the residents there. When did the embiggenings start, and when did they end (unless they're ongoing)? Which pokémon got turned big, and where did the incidents happen? What were the pokémon doing when they got embiggened?

They seemed to start a little before the Magikarp incidents, and were much easier to take down on their own. Only a few seemed to be invincible, and testimonies on how they had gone down were conflicting. the only common denominator was that some of them were simply impossible to defeat until one day, they simply were. These incidents have, since, stopped.

He seeks out the mysterious Eternatus-Xerneas being. He wants to see how they're doing (and maybe he things they're both a little weird but kinda cool, a fusion of two powerful legendary beings I mean. That is neat.) and to ask them about the tree andother info.

-Do they remember how and when they died?
-How much do they know about actual Xerneas, as far as their memories and life?
-What broke them free from the control?
-How did they feel while under control vs now?
-If asked, would she be able to offer any meaningful support in fighting against Maple or does she feel she could get corrupted again?
-Do they know anything about that strange meteor?

This will need to be a scene.

Soda in the cells does not and perhaps cannot communicate with any of the others, including Prime. There has been on contact. Soda does admit, however, that the plan for Cola was to gain his trust to the point where he would want to join forces with him and combine their powers. Soda then intended to overtake Cola and absorb him entirely, claiming a foothold in Cibus divinity. The fact that Soda Prime didn't follow through suggests his conflicting feelings about it won out, and he doesn't intend to go against that.

Dave is pretty unsettled by this but clings to the fact he didn't in the end. He adamantly assures Soda, again, that the one really at fault here is whatever bastard tailored his memories to whatever would make him want to do this at almost any cost, whose face he really cannot wait to kick in.

Soda also explains to Dave that sometimes he speaks to him as a Substitute, and other times it really was him, but ultimately it didn't matter. He admits that one reason he can slack off on scouting so much is that because he's a master-class substitute, he never has to worry about his escape route. He could infiltrate a base completely undetected, and then evaporate once he gathered the intel he needed.

Nate changes tack for a moment. Instead of asking around about the big pokémon, he'll ask whether anyone's seen a strange dark mewtwo with a red star on its chest, or a dark haze, or some kind of weird red storm. If so, where, when, and in what context.

He'll try to plot what he's learned so far about the big pokémon, and anything he might hear about the mewtwo, on a map. See if any interesting pattern emerges.

Might as well hang around near Paradise. He senses Rocky's going to touch down somewhere nearby...

At first, there didn't seem to be anything of the sort that could be said. It wasn't until Keldeo approached Nate and gave a more thorough description. As it turned out, a Mewtwo like that had been seen, or something that might have been him, not long before the giant Pokemon. However, it seemed that the only time he was spotted, it was to defeat them.

Nanab eventually comes forward and gives Nate some answers they'd gotten as well, and contacted the other Omen Heroes to see if they'd give something similar, as the giant crisis was worldwide.

He'll try to plot what he's learned so far about the big pokémon, and anything he might hear about the mewtwo, on a map. See if any interesting pattern emerges.

There did not seem to be any significance on the locations they happened within the continents themselves. However, there was a very clear pattern in where it all happened on a world scale. It started in the Grass Continent, and then the Air, then Water, then Mist, and finally Sand, over the course of roughly a month, perhaps less--in other words, it seemed that the enlargement crisis had spread in a counterclockwise pattern around Cibus on the map, starting from where Thyme and Pepper lived. Curiously, the Sand Continent was where they had found Giovanni's hidden base... and is also where no Omen Heroes lived.

Brisa talks shop with Owen about the Colosseum season to take their minds off Soda and give her better odds perhaps.

She wants to know what he knows about the fighting style of Ho-oh, Team Drumstick and Balm & Cepa.

She's sufficiently interested in this that she's also done her own research, watching old matches and reading Truthful Times clippings in the library.

She wants to know what he knows about the fighting style of Ho-oh, Team Drumstick and Balm & Cepa.

Three entirely different fighting styles. Team Drumstick was more traditional in their fighting style; it seemed that Nugget was their striker while Tender went with weaker, but precise attacks. Bone didn't do a lot of fighting, and seemed more likely to disrupt what her opponents were trying to set up, one way or the other. Like many on the Omen Heroes' team, the human was their tactician. They seemed to have an innate talent for such things.

Ho-Oh was almost the opposite of Lugia in fighting style, fighting hard but also being vulnerable to attack in response. Not that it mattered--apparently, she healed almost all damage dealt all the time. To defeat her, it would have to be all at once, and perhaps multiple times over.

Balm and Cepa were the most enigmatic to Owen. He didn't see them fight often, and he only knew that Cepa wasn't as experienced, while Balm seemed to hold powers beyond a typical Sceptile. Perhaps something to do with time...? It seemed that they had been sent from their Cibus to this one for a reason--and not just because of their relation to Thyme.

Mellow, for some reason, has begun to seem... off to others around her. She continues to do everything she normally does, and there's no change to her schedules, or anything that would indicate something wrong...

But wherever she goes, strange noises, unexplainable movements, and the intense feeling of being watched follows. She claims not to hear, see, or feel anything herself when questioned about it...

As soon as Raven returns from the Voidlands, she begins to travel around. Her first order of business is to seek out and ensure the safe return of Petram. While she's at the peak of Mt. Freeze, she talks to Ninetails about any strange incidents he may know about. Perhaps there was a lead that could get them more information about the moon, and could confirm who was actually on it...

Nate's going to set aside his search for big pokémon for now. It's been a while since he's talked with Buffet... He'll invite the hydreigon to dinner and ask him a few questions about spirits.

- Buffet can't sense either of S'more and Xerneas' spirits, is that right? Any idea why that might be? Is it possible that something similar to what happened to Darkwhite happened to them, where their spirits were trapped in Ultra Stones? Would Buffet be able to feel them if they'd been sent far away, say... to the moon? Or Cibus 2? Into the Voidlands, perhaps?

- Just what is the deal with ghost-types, anyway? Was S'more already somebody who'd died and now he's super-dead, or what?

- A while back, Buffet mentioned a story he'd heard about a human who was supposed to become an arceus, a concept Buffet found unsettling. Perhaps he could relate that story now? After all, Soda was human, and he too was set to become an arceus...

Rocky needs to get a tree for Flesh! He decides one of the pines from the Pines is the way to go. He'll ask Joule for help if possible, although with what happened to Maple, perhaps he won't really be feeling it... If necessary, Rocky will approach Potluck for help instead.

He'll apologize to Flesh for being late with it.

Not much new information was provided, only that the far isolated regions of Mt. Freeze were largely untouched by the crisis.

Buffet can't sense either of S'more and Xerneas' spirits, is that right? Any idea why that might be? Is it possible that something similar to what happened to Darkwhite happened to them, where their spirits were trapped in Ultra Stones? Would Buffet be able to feel them if they'd been sent far away, say... to the moon? Or Cibus 2? Into the Voidlands, perhaps?

Buffet doesn't know. They are neither in the Overworld nor anywhere easy to check, which means they could be sealed someplace that Buffet can't access, or they're somewhere in the astral plane and are not seeking anyone out. He'd never had the time nor direction to try to find where they are--needle in a haystack, if they are present at all. But he does know that Xerneas and S'more are not the same as the ones he knew. Now that their Eterna manipulation is gone, he can see that clearly. He seems particularly upset about Xerneas, but does not show it openly.

Just what is the deal with ghost-types, anyway? Was S'more already somebody who'd died and now he's super-dead, or what?

Ghosts in Cibus are just another subclass of species and are just as alive as everyone else. Their spectral manipulation is an elemental power and nothing more.

A while back, Buffet mentioned a story he'd heard about a human who was supposed to become an arceus, a concept Buffet found unsettling. Perhaps he could relate that story now? After all, Soda was human, and he too was set to become an arceus...

Buffet wonders if the story of Soda had somehow spread to Cibus as a rumor.

Rocky needs to get a tree for Flesh! He decides one of the pines from the Pines is the way to go. He'll ask Joule for help if possible, although with what happened to Maple, perhaps he won't really be feeling it...

Joule seems out of sorts, but follows along. He has incredible strength, but doesn't feel up to exert himself and often seems distracted. He's dimmer than usual.

Raven begins to do investigating as well when she gets back to Destiny Village. This is usually done by her usual methods, researching, gathering information from other Team Spectrum members, and by spying. She is a lot more careful while doing the last of those, and takes to changing her shape, keeping it to night when her colors would be harder to distinguish, or withdrawing into her core and simply sitting still in a place where she'd be easily mistaken as just another rock. She does not tell anyone where she is going or why.

The first thing she does is help follow up on some of the more recent discoveries to see if anything else can be found out.

(Investigating these only if it's cool with others;

1. A trip to the continents in the order that the Eterna incidents occured; perhaps there was something that they haven't seen that could give them clues.

2. She asks Buffet about the origins of the tale. Something about rumors reaching across different realities seems very strange, Overseers or not.

Edit:
Here's a list of Pokémon Raven might appear as while she's traveling around.)

Mellow continues to unknowingly make people uncomfortable when they're around her. She also starts to amass a small fortune from items and poké after being given them? Raven starts investigating her for possible fraud but strangely can't find a single thing.

Bahamut does not say anything to Karat about Deoxys. Or anything else, really. :^)

Buffet isn't sure; word of mouth can do strange things, especially when they have a resident junior Overseer among their ranks in the form of Bean. He doesn't seem too concerned about it, and wonders openly if such a story is common due to how influential humans can become.

Mellow continues to unknowingly make people uncomfortable when they're around her. She also starts to amass a small fortune from items and poké after being given them?

Mellow herself is being spied on from a distance by those trying to investigate what might be going on with her. Owen, hearing about this, is starting to look into it as well, figuring that his Perceive might give him further insight.

Puddle texts Karat about Bahamut's plan to, eventually, bring Deoxys close to the sun to help him heal. It also tells Karat that it will still be looking into ways to heal Deoxys without going into space.
Nate and Rocky go to see Karat together, so Rocky can apologize for endangering Deoxys. Rocky also says he's going to work together with Puddle to find a way to revive Deoxys. Nate says he'll be helping out with that in any way he can as well.

Karat still responds coldly to most things, but he seems, at least on some very basic level, appreciative of the efforts. He hasn't yet disclosed where Deoxys is, however, until a solid plan is put into motion.

After his encounter the pines, Koa makes time to visit Xernatus. He tries not to stay too long so he doesn't overstay his welcome. Sometimes he makes conversation, but sometimes he just sits there with him. He tries not to bring up Xerneas or what happened much, and instead just tells him random tidbits about what's going on. Colosseum matches, training, tales about his time as a trainer and so on.

He also brings them a badge, so he can text him.

He does however, ask at least once if Xernatus knows anything about a strange giant meteorite object that went missing from the Amp Plains. Did they ever see anything like that?

Otherwise he'll offer to bring food to them, and just check in on him every couple days.
