No response came from the stone at first, and then it wobbled a few times. Cynthian watched with bated breath as Ivy's body steadily reformed with a brand new shape.

Cynthian quirked a brow as soon as she recognized the form. "Wait, why do you look like Sw—"

"Soul! It's you!" Ivy chirped, flailing her arms and wagging her long tail. The rose on the tip of her tail popped open and unfurled as she smiled. "I'm not hurt. I was sad, but I'm fine now. How are you?"

 

[Shiny Phantump]

"I-Ivy?" Soul blinked. "I see you've recovered from ghosthood. I'm doing alright, but it should be me asking you that. How are you? You're a Rose-Mew now? How does it feel?"

Is changing like that possible for the rest of us? I wasn't able to go back once I pictured myself as a Vulpix... but I did evolve. I'm not a real Vulpix or a real Ninetales, so that counts, I guess.

 

[Adamhuarts]

"A what?" Ivy tilted her head. A quick look around at her body later and she caught on. "Wow! Cynthia, look! My legs are back!"

"Are you sure you're fine, Ivy?" Cynthian asked with a mild grimace.

"I'm fine." Ivy looked away and started at the flower on her tail. "This is so weird. I like how I look now."

Cynthian wanted to ask again, but instead she just smiled. "Well, I'm just glad to have you back, Ivy."

Ivy's eyes lit up. "Where's Petram? I want to see my new form!"

 

[Shiny Phantump]

Soul suspected Ivy may have meant 'fine' in the same way she sometimes meant it. She doubted Ivy suddenly felt completely better just by virtue of her showing up. Not worth prying, though.

"I don't know." Soul looked to Celeste. "Can I borrow your badge?"

"Sure," he said, turning it over. He wasn't sure what this meant for Ivy, but Soul seemed to be handling it well enough. Good for her.

[Nazo > Semifreddo]: Hey, this is Soul. Ivy just came out of her stone with a new look, a rose-mew look. She's pretty cute, you should come check it out. Down at the library at the moment, if you have time now.

"How does it feel to be all different? You like it?"

Ivy's ears twitched sideways and she hummed. She stood on her tip toes and gently hovered off the ground. "I can still fly! This is so cool!"

Cynthian meanwhile pondered what spurred Ivy's current change. It couldn't have been because Sword, or Darkwhite really, had been on her mind a lot as of late. Otherwise Ivy would've probably taken the form of a vulpix or ninetales like Soul...

"Hey Soul, this place is boring. Let's do something fun outside!" Ivy said while floating in circles around the ninetales.

 

[Shiny Phantump]

"Let me se if-"

[Semifreddo > Nazo]: Oh, nice. I’m a bit busy at the moment, but I’ll see to catch up with you two when I get the chance. I’ll message you when I have some free time.

Soul returned the badge to Celeste.

"Sounds like Petram won't be able to make it for a while. Sure, let's go."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Race you to the door!" And then she zipped off on her own.

"Well, there she goes. At least she still has her energy." Cynthian sighed and folded her arms, then she glanced at Soul with a smile. "Thanks for coming over to help. I appreciate it."

 

[Shiny Phantump]

Soul bowed, then turned to follow. "You're most welcome."

Once the conversation had ended, Celeste returned to browsing.

Koa settled down in his new favorite spot in the library, a quiet spot on the second floor in a corner. Not only was it far removed from the main spots mon often walked through, it afforded him a convenient view of the surrounding area. Perfect for relaxing in, and not having to run into anybody he particularly knew. He idly browsed the book he'd brought, one about legendaries and the history of Cibus.

As Miles wandering around the library, he noticed another pokemon reading on the second floor. He's not sure if bothering the manectric who are minding their own business but maybe they wouldn't mind if it just a short convo? The shinx sure hope that's the case. He approached Koa and quietly ask (they are in a library after all)

"Hello? Do you mind if I join?"

Koa spotted the Shinx approach out of the corner of his eye, but didn't look up until he spoke. How delightful. At least it wasn't anyone from Team Spectrum he really knew. The Shinx was at best vaguely familiar, though he couldn't recall his name. For a second, there was a pause as he decided how to answer.

On one paw, he had come here to be alone. Yet on the other paw, knew how it felt to be the 'newcomer'. He wanted to offer the same kindness everyone else had offered him.

"Yeah, sure," he replied, nodding to an empty seat. "What's your name again?"

"I-my name is Miles." He replied, walking towards the empty seat. "Diyem brought me here a while ago," he said, thinking about everything that happened. It was a strange feeling, to say the least. He was here for a while now but yet it doesn't feel like that much time has passed. It did though. He just missed out on so manythings

"Nice to meet you, Miles," he replied. "My name is Koamaru." He stared down at his book for a few moments. Small talk had never been his strong suit. "Yeah, Diyem brought be here a little while ago too. I guess something happened and I showed up late though." He glanced at Miles. Maybe he'd just skip small talk... "What made you decide to come?"

"Well, I don't know. I don't remember much of what I was doing before I got here. It just one moment and I was at the infirmary and Diyem said my power is needed to stop a threat... I'm not sure about tha-" Miles stopped his rambling after some realization. Maybe he just wanted to know why he's in the library? Well, he just made things more awkward then... the shinx stopped for a moment to sort his thought out again before continue the talk

"I feel like I missed a lot of important information. I don't know, I just wanted to talk with someone about what happened"

Koa felt a twinge of sympathy at Miles words. He'd been in the same place not so long ago. He still remembered how frustrated and lost he'd felt. It was only thanks to talking to other members of Team Spectrum he felt like he understood things more. Even now he still felt lost at times. "Yeah. I know the feeling." After a moments more consideration, he nudged his book aside and turned to face Miles fully. "What do you want to know?"

Miles thought for a moment, what should he ask? Where should he even start? He tried to think about it for a moment. A little while after he arrived, Team Spectrum left in a hurry to a battle at Mist continent, after that he met Cynthian for a bit and talked to Puddle before they all went to World core... right? The memories already started to mixing up in his head... or is it? Well, he has a chance to clear everything up right now and he knew he would regret it if he screwed this one up. Alright, maybe he should start with some event where he was there to see first...

The world core... he remembered going along and helped them out. A lot of stuff happened there, stuff that feels like you just read the first chapter and then go straight to the climax. Maybe what happened that day is a good place to start

"W-well, what happened at the world core? Who is DarkWhite and Shield?"

 

[Flyg0n]

"Well..." Koa frowned and thought for a moment. He collected his thoughts as best as he could. "Basically, Darkwhite is or used to be a Mew named Sword. She and Shield were partners, apparently, from another world. Telum I think? Somehow they ended up here, but we don't know how. And Sword got corrupted by some kind of strange energy I guess. So that's how she became Darkwhite."

Koa let out a long breath. There was a lot to unpack there, and he still didn't know the full extant. "Anyways, someone stole Darkwhite away from Giovanni who also used to be on Telum but everyone ended up here. They put her in the worldcore to try and get the energy from her. Or something like that. But now she's healed I guess, and feeling better."

He let out another long sigh. "That's the gist I guess. We were fighting to get her out of there because it was destroying the core." Shrugging, he rested his head on his paws. "I still don't even understand it all myself but..." he smiled slightly. "I'm glad I was able to help save someone."

Miles kept quiet for a while to think about everything Koa said. It was a lot to unpack for sure so he take his time.

"I'm glad I was able to provide some help back then too." That last line from Koa really resonate with him. It is what he wishes to do as well, no matter how much he doubt in his ability to do it.

He looked at Koa for a bit, thinking about what else he should ask. Something about himself? Like where Koa from? No, it's probably too soon to ask about something so personal. Oh well, it's not like the shinx himself can give answer about the world he came from.

Though about that...

"I saw Treasure Town was a part of the continent map. I know this is another world but... how is the guild doing in this world? Are they alright?"

 

[Flyg0n]

"Hm." Koa frowned. "I think the guild is doing good?" he said, cocking his head. "I guess. I don't know a lot about this world yet, but aside from well... whatever this weird Blacklight thing happening is, I think they're ok."

By Arceus. How was he saying all this so normally now? He guessed near death experiences did that to a pokemon. "Are you from a world like this? I mean, a world with just...pokemon?"

Most everyone seemed to be. He wasn't sure if there were any humans here, except maybe Starr he supposed.

"Yeah, I'm from the Treasure Town of my dimension..." Miles paused for a moment, he felt a little pain saying those words. "I remember getting lost in a forest before the guild found and took me in. I stayed there ever since. They are like family to me" He said, feeling like something coming out of his eye but quickly wiped it away. The shinx let out a long sigh

"I guess I just miss them"
