And I want to call back to Pano’s point: Yes, Chibi could be scum, but if they aren’t, then keeping them alive forces scum to choose: either kill Chibi and prove their innocence, or let them live to get another read off. If Chibi isn’t scum, then we eliminate a valuable info role and give scum a free pass to kill Sind in the night.

Not to mention…I’m sorry, since when is Mal locktown? I mean, honestly, Pano too, but Pano is the safest bet right now (I honestly don’t know why they’d pick to claim Butler and not one of the other outsiders that would better guarantee they get left alone but I guess I can see the flip argument of that). But MAL? The vote’s between Chibi and uA rn and you’re saying uA is locktown?

I have two hypothesis for why you’re acting like this:

You’re purposely zeroing in on Chibi to attempt to get everyone to secondguess voting for them, like what is currently happening.

Or

You’re tunneling Chibi to ensure the scrutiny gets moved off Mal and you just HARD fumbled declaring them locktown.

I have absolutely no goddamn idea if I’m gonna get to comb Chibi’s posts before EOD. I am also so fucking tired so even if I do no guarantee it will be coherent. I’ve moved off my Morgan vendetta because I agree, she’s been holding true to her claim so she has dropped to low concern. Persephone is still pinging safer to me because I still can’t shake their frustration from earlier being genuine (because trust, I lost my goddamn mind when I was wrongfully tunneled in previous games so I empathize). And Elgyem….I don’t know. First I was sus, then I was swayed to not be sus, but now that we’re getting down to the nitty gritty, my gut’s talking again. I STILL don’t like the Empath reveal, that’s a hill I think I’m due to keep a foot on.

She liked the Noivern. Maybe it was some implicit bias towards the one species here she recognized, especially as one belong to a friend. Maybe, even after getting his deal wrong she still liked how he'd been playing. Maybe it was just a silly hunch. Didn't matter. Any such feeling evaporated like a fine mist under hot sun. The stalemate had to break.

[[That’s a good point, especially since all of us only half-believe Chibi’s reads at best anyway. No matter what happens, they’ll likely gun for Sind or Zdr tonight, since those two are (more or less, in Zdr’s case) confirmed town and won’t be on the chopping block.

I still maintain my other point though, that in a world where both Chibi and uA are town (impossible but humor me), Chibi’s powers are more beneficial to town to get one more day out of. Sure most of us still find them suspect and will take their claim/night read with a grain of salt, but it gives us something to work with even if it’s a lie. If Chibi is scum, it forces them to come up with more lies and makes it easier to back them into a corner.]]
