Review Tag
Want feedback on your fic? Review Tag is a quick and easy way to get eyes on your story and an opportunity to help other writers out at the same time. The way it works is simple:
1. The last person who's posted in the thread is currently "it." Their post should include a link or links to stories they'd like reviewed.
2. Choose one of the requested, read it, and leave a comment.
3. Post in this thread with a link to your comment and a link to one or more stories you'd like feedback on. Now you're it, and it's your turn to receive a comment!
Requesting Guidelines
You may request feedback on any story posted here on Thousand Roads, and your story may be of any length. However, for chaptered works, please know that people are only obligated to comment on one of your chapters. If you like, you can specify which chapter(s) you'd particularly like comments on, but if you request a chapter late in the story, know that you might get comments from people who haven't read the earlier chapters and lack the context they provide.
If you'd like feedback on a story with elements that would typically result it being rated "R" or "Mature," please either provide at least one alternative fic or point out a couple of tamer chapters that readers who might be uncomfortable with heavier themes can choose to comment on.
Commenting Guidelines
Please leave a substantial comment on whatever chapter or story you choose to read--around two paragraphs is a solid minimum. If you're having trouble coming up with something to say, try choosing a few of the questions below and answering them in your comment:
What did you think was the best part of the story (or chapter)? What about the worst?
Do you like the characters? Do you have a particular favorite or unfavorite?
Was there anything unique about this story, a concept or character type or headcanon you haven't seen before?
Did the setting or worldbuilding stand out to you in any way?
How did you like the writing itself? Was there anything that stood out in terms of word choice, descriptive language, or other aspects of the style?
Was there any part of the story that felt slow-moving or boring?
Was there anything you saw in this story that you wish other writers did more often?
Was there anything that you found confusing or feel like you didn't really understand?
Are there any mysteries you're curious about or questions you hope will be answered soon?
What do you think might happen next?

Feel free to structure your comment however you like, and discuss whatever topics come to mind, as long as you're providing something more substantial than, "Good! Write more!"
Questions? Feel free to post in this thread to ask. Otherwise, take a look at who's up next, post a comment, and get in line to receive a comment of your own! Because no one has posted in the thread yet, the first person to comment will be able to request a comment without having to read anyone else's story.
