But... why are Pokeblocks useful?
Unlike the games, Pokeblocks here have a better effect - They help raise the Pokemon to be stronger and faster. The moment Darius chose the [Beginner Pokemon Breeder] class from a list of classes he could get, he got a small list of recipes of Pokeblocks inside his mind - Five of them, all of which he could make with the berries he had at an arm's reach!
They were the:
[Attack Pokeblock] that helped increase a Pokemon's attack status faster, although it lost its usefulness after the Pokemon reached Rank 3.
[Defense Pokeblock] that helped increase a Pokemon's endurance stat faster, although it lost its effectiveness after the Pokemon either evolved or reached Rank 4.
[Control Pokeblock] helped the Pokemon increase the Energy Control stat as well as it increased the speed in which a Pokemon could raise their special move mastery, although it lost its effectiveness after a Pokemon reached Rank 2.
[Energy Resistance] helped a Pokemon develop a higher resistance to energy, although Darius could think of a few ways in which he could make a Pokemon develop resistance to super-effective moves. Imagine a Caterpie that doesn't take damage from fire!? It lost its effectiveness after rank 3.
[Energy Capacity] and the last recipe gave him a Pokeblock that helped a Pokemon recover their spent energy as well as make their bodies absorb a little bit more energy each time, increasing their energy over time. It lost effect after a Pokemon reached Rank 5 sadly.
'So, let's start.' A mortar made from a weird rock a small Butterfree gave him as a gift with a long stone as a crusher, he added the thin strips he cut with a sharp stone of an Aspear Berry, an Oran Berry, and a Rawst Berry in a 1:3:1 portion before adding water and the Butterfree Honey, making it a viscous liquid that was also a little sticky! The coloration of the liquid changed as Darius added the final ingredient after stirring counterclockwise for 10 minutes: The small red petal of a beautiful flower called Fireflow Flower, a flower full of Fire Energy, that when mixed with the little bit of Water and Cold Energy of the Rawst Berry and the already in synchrony Fire Energy of the Aspear Berry alongside the Neutral Energy of the Oran Berry, it made an explosion of energy that was suppressed by the Neutral Energy of the Oran Berry, but that cycle repeated over and over as the energy given by the Oran Berry wasn't enough to contain the chaotic energy left behind by the collapsing and rebuilding of energy.
That was why this Pokeblock was a bright red color that would shift every once in a while to a blue coloration, and also why this Pokeblock is useful till Rank 2. When a Pokemon reaches Rank 2, this effect is too weak to affect their energy recovery speed, energy control, and move mastery speed.
Maybe he can increase the portions and make stronger versions? But then the chaotic energy would be greater, and the possible consequences are... explosive.
"Cerberus -" Stopping right by the exhausted pup, Darius patted his head for a moment before offering him the newly named [Energy Cycle Pokeblock]. What? He's not that great at naming things. This was the best he could come up with! "-here, eat this." Cerberus hesitated for a moment before he ate it. The effect wasn't that instantaneous, but it was pretty quick! A few seconds after he ate it, the Pokeblock's energy filled his empty body and started to overflow him with new energy, the cycle the Pokeblock went through became quicker because the size of the Pokeblock was getting smaller and smaller, and that also increased the recovery speed by a thousand fold. "Now work hard, okay?" Cerberus nodded, no longer exhausted! Darius decided to stay there and watch as he went over the exercise Darius gave him, it was interesting to see the flames increase in size and heat for a few seconds before they went back to their normal size, the speed at which they increased in size was also growing faster and faster.
Darius checked Cerberus' stats and saw how [Energy Capacity], [Energy Control], and [Energy Potency] increased quickly! 'His nature is Adamant, which makes it harder for him to increase his Energy Potency, so this Pokeblock is really useful, huh?' Now that he thinks about it, it must be really easy for Pokemon Breeders to make money, seeing as 1 Pokeblock made the whole difference in Cerberus's training speed. "Cerberus, try to change the shapes of the flames." Telling his little Pokemon what to do, Darius watched as he did his best to change the shape of the campfire's flames and struggled with it a bunch! "It's okay, pup, you don't have to do it on the first try, I don't expect you to do so." The pup did whine sadly for a moment before Darius told him to go and take a rest.
Darius himself trained too, push-ups, squats, running, pull-ups, abdominals, and more!
Cerberus followed him in the training, Darius did give him a [Defense Pokeblock] he decided naming [The Juice™️] because it sounded funny enough for him. The day ended soon with Cerberus dead tired, so Darius gave him a bunch of Oran Berries to help his body heal quicker. He did experiment a little with making an Oran Berry Pokeblock, that was when he remembered he could make potions! Well, basic medicine was just a concentration of berries and their energy so he could make some Potions to help Cerberus heal his muscles faster so he could train more.
Regardless, Darius met the conditions of unlocking both the Basic Pokemon Nurse class and the Basic Pokemon Trainer class, which he took both. I mean, the previous skills he got would not just go away, and there weren't any bonuses for keeping a class- he could still switch them around if he wanted, maybe if he equipped the class he wants to train the skills of, the process goes faster? He'll try it later!
