Part 9 of "Farewell, Mixturing Moves".

It focuses on the worldbuilding of Mixturing Moves along with general ideas I intended to include here. Take note of some information being left unfinished here and there because I was going to fill them the further the fic progresses.

    MM Places/Locations:

Solark (World) – Where Pokemon resides in, crafted by both angels and demons alike after the universe itself cast the planet into existence. This world undergone many changes throughout society: From being a mere predator and prey lifestyle to a more civil angle once the Official Protection government crafted a new type of food for the carnivores: Meat Product. Despite the changes, there's still some Pokemon who believed that civility will ruin the true nature of Pokemon, thus why some preferred to live in the wild instead of among the civilians. Life on Solark is an oddity: One with myths and legends, angels and demons, civilians and wildians. Some Pokemon can even be born with a special kind of power: Mythical Power, with the origins of them being traced to the existence of divinity and abyssal. With so much mysteries lurking in this world comes with many adventurers: Some journeying alone, some choosing to form a team, some even wanting to join OP on bettering the world around them. And then there's some who rather become pirates, making them prime enemies of the government due to legal rules being broken: Some for moral reasons, others for immoral reasons. A life of a pirate, of a government official, of an independent team, of a dependent government, and just all sorts of Pokemon in general is what makes Solark the world it is today.

Crater Grassland – A large grassland kingdom comprising of mainly Dragon types, formed by Drath after he and Sollele discovered it along their travels. It's an open field containing the Crater Village, the Crater Woodlands, and then a lone island, Crater Isle. The kingdom as a whole is a devote follower of Reshiram, vowing the serene aspects of honesty and truths. Drath and Sollele used to run the grassland together until Sollele had mysteriously disappeared and Drath was killed by Ho-Oh trying to protect the Marvel Mischiefs he has, leaving to Astona to rule the kingdom temporarily. After some time, she was going to bestow the ruling over to Iris, but the Dragonair rejected the offer, choosing to journey off to go exact her revenge on Ho-Oh. The kingdom has been fairly at peace since the unfortunate passing of Drath, Astona remaining as their ruler doing her best to keep it in check and secure.

Crater Village – A small village located in the Crater Grassland. It's where Drath resided in, making his usual meetings there (or sometimes in Crater Isle). It can best be described as a 'nothing much' village, with peace tending to be quite common here along with the rest of the grassland. It originally had a hidden barrier created by Drath and Lawrence to protect it from incoming threats, but Ho-Oh managed to find it and destroy it. The village is under the care of Queen Astona, and has went through renovation to expand its originally six houses and a Reshiram statue look.

Pirate Sea – An expansive sea containing the Wild Island, the Crater Grassland, Noctis Village, and many more lands awaiting for any adventurers and pirates to explore. And speaking of pirates: This sea is quite infamous for containing a plenty amount of them, making it a hassle for the OP government to capture them all. The population has increased so drastically that the government considers it a laissez-faire, or rather "hands off", area. The only time they'll allow arresting pirates at the sea is when the pirates themselves are caught slipping in government connected places such as the Noctis Village. One thing folks of any kind can agree on about the Pirate Sea: It looks gorgeous during the full moon, especially whenever the Volbeats and Illumises roam around in the sky.

Noctis Village – A calm village ran by mayor Wyvern. Nothing of note to really point out much here in this village due to its normality. Although, it does unfortunately suffer from having outsiders raiding it sometimes, especially from those in the Noctis Forest. Wyvern and his guards hyper manage the village because of this, wanting to ensue the safety of it the best way they can. He even connects with the OP government, calling them for any sorts of mayhem he may need their help on or reporting to them on a pirate raiding his settlement.

Noctis Forest – An average forest ran by Pokemon who doesn't like living civil like those from Noctis. The wild Pokemon there would sometimes raid the village for any sorts of food or belongings they could use for their wild lifestyle.

Verdant Village – An average village ran by mayor Ducktian. It's all about peace, something that Ducktian stressed so heavily over that he's willing to have any newcomers sign a peace print on it. This village also has a connection with the OP government, further ensuing its peace ideology however much it can.

Grace Forest – An average forest that isn't much to write home about. All anyone needs to know about it is that it's apparently famous for having things be abandoned there, including living things like babies.

Snowy Mountain – A mountain located somewhere far from the Pirate Sea. It's said to be almost close to the Governa Capitol, which explains the government base being built there. The mountain itself contains wild Ice types living their lives, doing the best they can to avoid any of the cityfolk Pokémon.

Acropolis Base – A government base located within the Snowy Mountain. It was built in response to a mysterious sword causing anyone wielding it to go berserk, leading to it being contained within the base.

Maple Town/Sacred Village – An ancient place from the Marvel Mischief legends, located at the east of the Aurora Ocean. It once used to be considered Sacred Village until the events of Yuki the Aegislash trying to utilize the Marvel Mischiefs to recreate the world. Ever since the events, it became Maple Town just so the folks of that place can leave the harsh individual behind in the past. Maple Town has since been seen as a normal town that consists of the stuff of legends like the Marvel Mischief stories. It's also the primary town Iris has to go to get her revenge on Ho-Oh, being told by Mewtwo that he's holding him hostage there.

Unbound Tower/Sacred Tower – An ancient tower that resides in Maple Town. It originally used to be called Sacred Tower due to its importance and what Ho-Oh represents. But ever since the power Ho-oh craves from the Marvel Mischiefs, its sacred name soon changes to that of Unbound Tower—dubbed by Mewtwo once he finally imprisons Ho-Oh there for when Iris arrives to execute her revenge.

Cloy Town – A town located in the Cloyster Kingdom. It's a pretty poor and barely functional town.

Ster Town – A town located in the Cloyster Kingdom. It's a pretty rich and functional town.

Joyous Sea – Quite the large sea that's stuck between the Pirate Sea and Aurora Ocean. It contains various places such as the Cloyster Kingdom, Seaport Bay, Solar Village, and many more. It's called Joyous due to the atmosphere here generally being uplifting, a counterpart to the Hollow Ocean that was further away from it.

Corruption Realm (World) – A desolate, dreaded place that's located nowhere on Solark. It's a place only those a part of the Supernova Gale would know. Yuki the Aegislash resides his soul here, eventually reviving himself to continue his task to ruling over the world of Solark. This place can materialize sofas and other materials if one wills it enough, having it not feel as desolate as it currently is.

Crypt Camp – A camp setup by savage Pokémon named the Cannisnatch: Hellbent on obtaining as much meat from other Pokémon as possible. This was also the camp Iris, Lucas, and Ashen once got captured in: All forming a truce to get out of it at the end. This camp resides within the Crater Woodlands, being well hidden because of the eerie coordination these devious Pokémon has.

Nocturne Valley – A large valley that resides beside the Seaport Bay, containing a large statue of Cerise within his Zygarde Complete form. This valley also contains the following: Nocturne Isle, Nocturne Forest, and Nocturne Village. This area alone was Cerise's home.

Nocturne Isle – A lone isle located at the valley.

Nocturne Forest – A forest that displays the entry towards the village and the valley itself.

Nocturne Village – A decent sized village that mainly consists of Zygardes along with a few other kinds of Pokémon. Cerise once ruled this village until Caius beaten him, leading the Zygarde to be banished from it. The village soon went into turnmoil once Caius turned the majority of Zygardes into his evil army known as Cellpedal. Some survivors, the Cellvivers, hoped that one day Cerise returns to defeat Caius and save Nocturne Village.

Governa Capitol (City) – A large city centering in the middle of Solark at an unknown continent. This is where the Official Protection Government resides in, leading to the importance this city has towards the whole wide world.

The wild Pokémon here has proven themselves to be strong enough to fend off even against the entire government, rendering the island nullified to conquer. A few civil Pokémon lives here, The Scrafts being one of them. Thanks to the unknown strength this island provided for The Scrafts, they managed to be the only few civil Pokémon capable of handling the island.

Miracle Town – A town located somewhere in the Pirate Sea. It's also where Ego met Carly along with Lucas and Ashen some time later. This town is centered around miracles, celebrating the possibility of them happening and the luck they could bring to others.

It can appear anywhere on Solark as long as someone has the ability to acknowledge its existence, usually only given to those who are a Wishmon. This place is meant to grant those who stumble upon it any wish they desire—good, bad, even somewhere in the middle. For anyone to get their wish, they must become Lumani's Wishmon and complete any tasks he provides them as well as being willing to let his wish come true first, hence why their own hasn't happened yet.

Solar Village – A village located in the Joyous Sea that was once Sebastian the Serperior and Helena the Milotic's home. The village used to be alive and filled with joy until Sebastian burnt it down due to the folks down always picking fights with him and Helena, having it become a crumbling mess it is today.

Star Cavern – A lone cavern Mark and Natalie once went through with Mark's sister at the Pirate Sea, located further from Noctis Village. This place contains colorful rocks littering everywhere, displaying a sense of elegance while looking star shaped—hence the cavern's name. There's even rumor of there being a room that housed a large star-shaped light in the middle, containing a treasure that helps powers up any Pokemon's moves.

Grim Crevice – A cryptic, abandoned cave located somewhere in the Crater Woodlands. Many unsettling things resides within that place, one of them used to be a Vulpix named Anna. Horror stories were heard about those unfortunate enough to stumble upon her domain, being killed by her Corrupted Reign as a result. Albeit, the cave is still dangerous to journey into now that more ferocious Pokémon lives there.

Floral Port – A port area that's filled with grassy terrain and ships, being located on the same land Verdant Village is at: Being on the polar opposite end from it. This place puts its emphasis on the art of flowers, even displaying bits of it as a part of their ships' designs.

Crypt City – An unstable, chaotic city with a mayor that's still afraid to do anything about managing it. This city once had the O.P. government involved on managing it, but the violence there was so brutal that the government officially deemed the city as unsalvageable—planning to be rid of the city soon as it became home towards criminals and the wild Pokémon alike. As a result, it's always dark out in this place: Anyone choosing to live here has already decided their fate. This city has zero relations with Crypt Camp, and is also where Alro was born in.

Lurose (Town) – A town that's a fair distance away from Crypt City. It no longer exists due to the dysfunctional nature it resulted to: Being a murderous, slaughterfest town. It's also the once hometown of Clemence.

Lufall (City) – A city that's proven to be a massive improvement over Lurose, albeit still having some issues of its own like the finance being somewhat iffy there. Nevertheless, the mayor here does their best to make the city great and not become another Lurose incident.

    MM Species/Groups:

Pokemon (Species) – The common species that lives in the world of Solark. They're divided into two types: The ones who prefer to live in resident areas called Civil Pokémon and the ones who prefer to live in the wild areas called Wild Pokémon. Generally speaking, society has advanced from the predator and prey lifestyle—albeit, there's still much more improvements in this regard despite the fact.

This group existed during the Marvel Mischief story, where it was only comprising of Ghost types, with Misstrike being one of them. To ensure no one in the Gale betrays Yuki, Misstrike casts demonic powers that helps her keep track of anyone that leaves the Gale and executes them on the spot. And at long last, here's Part 10 of "Farewell, Mixturing Moves".

It’s pretty self-explanatory, don’t really have much else to say about this part. So I’ll repeat the important message I've said towards the end of this part to top it all off:
“It's okay to push your limits. It's also okay to not push your limits. Know your battles as a creator and when you should persevere through them or throw the towel to move onto something else. Some fights are winnable, others aren't. And that's fine because at the end of the day: You've tried.”

    Chapter 30 -

Now that you've seen every single "Behind the Scenes" content this fanfic has to offer, I'll end this off with an advice I gave in one of the Discord servers I'm in regarding Mixturing Moves. This said advice stuck with me ever since I wrote it out, and I think it may be some use to you all too:

    "Moral of the story:
It's okay to push your limits.
    It's also okay to
    not push your limits.

Know your battles as a creator and when you should persevere through them or throw the towel to move onto something else. Some fights are winnable, others aren't. And that's fine because at the end of the day: You've tried."

Fun Fact: Part of this fanfic's discontinuation was inspired by the Sonic fangame, Sonic Hysteria, being canceled but having its entire ost being finished and released this month. As sad as that is, it was genuinely an eye-opener moment for me since it told me that it's okay to give up on a piece of work for a variety of reasons, important ones being one's own mental wellbeing along with genuinely believing that your limits
sometimes can't be overcome. Everyone works differently: Someone can properly write their fanfic into completion while working on many other projects, others can't. And both are valid approaches. Don't feel too down about being unable to finish one of your projects: You've done the best you can, and that's all that ultimately matters. Hats off to anyone doing large projects, let alone completing it in the first place. That's exactly what I'm aiming for with the Magic & Transvolution series: Completing all five books of it someday.

With all of that said and done:

    Farewell, Mixturing Moves.
