Typos aside, it means that because of information I have, I know of several third-party members in this game, and I am not inclined to believe they are malicious to the Town's efforts and will actively participate in hunting down the Mafia alongside us. In short, they will win the game along with Town if all Mafia are eliminated.

Mademoiselle just finished reading the message to herself. "Well, would you look at that," she whispered. The pool of potential suspects had narrowed themselves by one, it didn't seem like much now, but she'd take anything at this point. Now came the time to consider everyone else here.

Guzma perked up at the sight of the care package. If anybody had told him he’d be accepting chocolates and Hello Skitty bandages from a tiny skeleton a few months ago, he’d have accused them of being a crackhead. But, looks like there was a first time for everything.

“Word, man,” he said. “Rock on, weird skeleton bro. You’re cool, I guess, for a literal skeleton.”

I'm currently at a loss as to the best way to use this power. I'm still too surprised by the reveal of it all... Does anyone have any ideas on how we can best ask questions to stay ahead of the killers? I will give this more thought as well, but I am all ears."

He wandered off to the side and sat down, pulling open his first aid kit and going to work on his nose and other cuts. His stomach hurt from the number done on his ribs, but he was going to elect to ignore that for now.

Some might wanna do it, but we also don wanna clear people as innocent only to have ‘Em flip bad later.” He considered his words as he held some gauze to his nose. “Oooorrrrr we can prioritize asking it about third parties, or wacky roles since that seems to be a majority concern.”

The excitement of the last few hours has left him completely drained, and all of a sudden, Steven was at a loss for words. He hoped someone could explain what on earth was going on.

He put emphasis on the word as he wasn't certain all of these third party players were even aware of each other.

"There is a good bit of speculation on my part in this, but of these players, I believe we as a Town should be cautious in choosing them as a target for daytime elimination... And I do believe these players have been helping the Town try to find Mafia. Maybe not all of them, but I'd like to think at least a majority are inclined to win the game alongside us."

Steven slouched even further in his seat, his head rolled back and he looked up to the sky. Gods he was drained.

"You're right. I... I don't know, not entirely. But, I do have some information that I can confirm at least some of what I know with absolute certainty. Other parts of what I've said... I'm not as sure. My intention with sharing so vaguely is first and foremost to protect the Town from itself. I do know for certain that there are dangerous alternate win conditions out there that can result from a Town mislynch. I do not mean to scare you, because it can be avoided, but even with the Telemarketer's help, I believe this game is still not so straightforward to win."

He rested one hand over his eyes, while still absentmindedly petting the Possum with the other.

"For all we know, the Telemarketer could be a third party member themselves, and they may not be able to mechanically clear their own name. I just..." he sighed," I just want us to be careful. And, if you are listening, this group of third party players, I would really enjoy it if you were to help us find the scum and eliminate them. If you are not killers, help save us all."

Guzma put his bandaged hands together and inhaled deeply, before swinging them down in a chopping motion.

“Boy,” he said sternly. “You’re still not answering my question. How do you know this information? Did somebody tell you this?”

Subtly, and maybe only Possum would have noticed, Steven's hands began to shake. The hand over his eyes squeezed tighter at his temples. This was too much. He wasn't cut out for this. Saying all these things, trying to keep people from being killed. Was he even helping? Was he even sure? Things had spiraled so quickly. And it had all landed on him. He'd wanted to get away, to take a break from the stress of having an entire region look to him for guidance. What could he do, he was just one man.

It took Steven a minute to find his voice through the tightness in his chest.

"Some of this information I have been told. The rest I have gleaned from the play of the others in this game. I will not say any more on the grounds that I do not know who I can trust."

The knuckles of his hand still pressed over his eyes were white.

"I'm sorry," his voice was strained, almost to a whisper. "I'm sorry I cannot offer more."

[[some clarification, Steven's behavior here is mostly for flavor, he does have some serious confidence issues/anxiety when it comes to his responsibilities. some of this is not flavor and I actually am very exhausted and stressed by this not only because hhh wtf but also between now and end of the day I will have internet access for about an hour of total time. all this, this is huge, and I have no idea what to do with it. I will try to wake up early in the morning before work to do *something* but jfc I'm so sorry I will not be able to post in the thread until lunch break tomorrow at the earliest and only then for about 10 minutes, and then not again until after 2 pm. Rui stood and addressed the crowd. “I believe Steven is telling the truth!” She took in a breath. “I didn’t say this earlier, but my role is...um, connected to third party members. At first I didn’t understand how this was supposed to work, but now I do! It can help us figure out who is on our side, but hopefully in a sneaky way so that the bad guys don’t catch on!”

She swelled with pride. She’d originally wondered how her role could be helpful, but now the pieces were coming together. She could be useful! And, for once…she didn’t even need her aura abilities to be worthwhile.

It was…strangely liberating.
