Her dreams were turbulent and struck a volatile balance between pleasant and uncomfortable. She couldn’t quite remember where she’d come from, what she’d been doing last—floating above time as though it had never meant a thing. Somehow, Astrid maintained enough of her identity as this abstract version of herself woke in an instant to shouting voices and the smell of brimstone.
“Hhmmh.” And then, slowly, she was on her feet with nothing but a vague sense of how to play the game… and of course, her role.
“Hey, uh, do I know any of you?” She glanced around arbitrarily, only somewhat aware of the tension in the room. “Nope, I don’t. Hi, I’m Astrid!”
She approached the Vulpix and crouched down, glaring at it through her helmet. "Oh, is it just that simple? Perhaps you'd like to demonstrate how you're so strong that nobody can stop you. There is always someone stronger than you are..."
