The hail of leaves landed a direct hit on Joule, and Cynthian smiled in satisfaction at the sight of fake Joule shaking off the icy chills before— Oh, right! He would it back!
Cynthian shielded her face in anticipation of the icy chill, but thankfully Skara took the hit for her. She huffed and thanked Skara before splitting off to prepare her next strike.
She narrowly avoided the electrified cage by Regieleki, but then the surrounding hordes quickly bombarded her with a fiery storm.
Cynthian fell to the ground with a shriek and a whimper. The fire scorched her leaves and her mind raced with panic, bringing her back to the distant memories, bringing her back to the night everything went wrong.
Cynthian opened her eyes wide upon hearing the voice and feeling the pain that quickly receded from her body. What just happened? Diyem healed her? And not only that, but Cynthian could feel a strange new vitality brimming within her. But, why did Diyem do it? Anyone else could've helped her... he really didn't have to go that far...
"Thank you," Cynthian muttered, though she didn't know if he'd hear it. Next she watched him go off to distract the other legends that had appeared further down the chambers.
"Okay, let's do this one more time," Cynthian said with a huff while staring at Joule with a smile.
She opened with a blast of noxious gunk at his face, then a storm of leaves chipping away at his wings. To finish the performance, Cynthian aimed her bouquets like cannons and unleashed a flurry of seeds right at Joule's core. With her attacks combined with Cabot's, surely that'll make a dent in the fake dragon's armor!
Cynthian lowered her flowers and took deep breaths during all the chaos ensuing around her. The Darkwhites shifted their forms again into Eevees, and Cynthian couldn't help but chuckle at how deceptively adorable they looked. Thinking back on it, Cynthian had always felt somewhat drawn to Darkwhite since...
"Hey, Darkwhite, remember that time we fought you and Lugia at the cavern?" Cynthian began, and she looked up at the Eevee horde with a smile. "I still remember it clearly, and sometimes I still laugh when I remember you calling Lugia a dud. Don't get me started on when your toxic spikes plan blew up in your face. Sometimes I forget I'm even a poison type. Who'd have thought it'd make such an impact that day?"
"What I'm trying to say is that... You were fun!" Cynthian declared, eyes full of clarity. "It was the first battle that I genuinely had any fun at all. Ever since that day... I just couldn't see you as an enemy to us at all, nor did I find you bothersome at all like some still did before it turned out that you'd been helping us out the whole time."
"Ever since that fight, I've wanted to be your friend. Even if you'd still been pretending to be against us, I'd still want to be your friend! My feelings wouldn't have changed!" Cynthian raised a bouquet over her chest and smiled resolutely.
"Please, Darkwhite, let us through! Reach out to us! Let us save you! Let us go back together, as one and friends!" Cynthian pleaded. "We can have fun again, just like you've wanted."

Diyem said:"You... idiot. You got careless! Get a guard up or you won't last at all!" He waved his hand in the air, a strange darkness enveloping his claws. At the same time, a similar darkness surrounded Cynthian, warding off the flames and patching over what the Reviver Seed could not.

Cynthian called out to Darkwhite!
