"That transformation cannot be undone unless the pokémon faints. And I highly doubt you can reason with it in its current state." He paused. "You're welcome to try, of course. But as someone who's now weak to water, you have considerably more to lose if you fail than your new, flowery friend." He gestured to Cynthian.

"I get that we'll have to to fight, but I dunno, doing amateur surgery on its insides seems like it would do worse than make it faint. Pokemon can take a lot -- I've seen that with Owen, dude got pancaked -- but, like, I don't think we need to go way overboard unless we have no other choice."

"More like an asinine idea," Necrozma growled. "If you tried to replicate the state the magikarp is in, you'd lose all sense of reason and sanity and we'd be forced to take you out, too."

"Err... whoops. Sorry. I don't know much about dynamaxing. It's when Pokemon get all huge, but that's basically all my knowledge."

"So, they have food for us? That's great, I've been hungry." To punctuate his words, Nip's stomach let out a rumble. Then he paused. "Wait, don't tell me. I know how you village mon work. It's all berries. If I want something I need to come up with some 'money' and find an open 'shop' that sells meat. Lovely."

"Hm? Ah, I'm certain I can arrange for something like that," Truffle offered. "While I do not know how your world operates, we have a plethora of false meats for you to enjoy that, I've been told, are just as good as the real thing! Though, you can also settle for those gummi foods, which I've heard are getting very diverse flavors nowadays... Though, I've been scared away from some of them. Soda found some joke gummi flavors and fed me one... Not sure why they'd make Sweaty Sawk Belt a flavor, yet here we are..." Most of what he said was in a murmur.

"Need to eat?" Truffle said, pausing. Then, he turned his attention to Necrozma. "Ahh... I got so lost in my duties that I forgot my unspoken promise to you," he said, hopping a few paces toward him. "I'm familiar with your kind from my studies. While I do not have enough power to restore your proper form... Would you accept some light to ease your discomfort?"

"I wish you had some that could light up his soul too," Cynthian muttered. Hopefully, Necrozma didn't hear that.

Necrozma most definitely heard that. He shot Cynthian the closest thing he could manage to a scathing glare. "Perhaps... we can discuss that matter in private later?" he said to Truffle.

Truffle nodded at Necrozma, then looked toward Fay. "Ah, it isn't really something worth bringing up further," he said--mostly because he had no intention of reliving such memories.

Owen swished his tail, loosening a few stray ethereal embers. "I guess if we need to get a good night's sleep, we should get dinner now, huh?" he asked to nobody in particular. "If anybody wants to have a little get-together for that, uh, I'm gonna go and set something up in our sleeping area in the dojo!"

"Steady..." Cynthian urged himself on, still lugging the flower vase that was almost twice his size. He'd filled half of it with soil, but he wasn't expecting it to feel so much heavier than he expected.

Cynthian was never all that strong physically to begin with even back home, but he would at least have had much less of an issue handling a vase that size back then. His back ached and his vines felt sore. Oh, he sure hoped he didn't mess up his flowers while carrying the vase.

"I'll take a break..." Cynthian heaved and kept the vase down with a slight thud. He wiped his forehead and sat with his back against the vase.

"If I'd known this thing would be this heavy, I'd have asked for help carrying it back... Ashwood probably would've found this easy. They've got those strong rocky arms..." Cynthian said with a groan.

Dave trudged out into the main square, looking around, hoping to sort out the roommate situation. He was hungry but the thought of returning to the hidden room to find it full of insufferable idiots won out in the end.

He spotted the Roselia carrying a vase from the direction of the woodlands. He'd seemed like a vaguely sensible sort, hadn't he? Probably a pretty safe bet.

"Hey," Dave said, approaching. "I would ask if you need any help with that, but I don't have arms in here."
