Reporting in that as of now 4870 words have been written! So we're already almost halfway through reaching Tier 3!
I'm really curious what the final wordcount will be at this point if just one day is already so high! Let's get those eggs!

Maybe we can have some additional bonus if we reach some really high number... we'll see how it goes and I will adjust the objectives for future events!

@Nekodatta do you mind clarifying the wordcount goal metric? I'm so awful with thread phrasing, sorry:

To win an egg, for the duration of the anniversary, once a day I will total all the words written in that day by all participants and see how far we've come. The prize will be determined by the highest tier reached at the end of the anniversary.

I took this to mean that each day was its own separate try to hit a Tier, i.e. 9000 words on Day 1, 9000 words on Day 2, and 10,001 words on Day 3 means neither Days 1 or 2 hit the tier, and Day 3 hit Tier 3, making it the current highest tier.

But this one looks like it's a cumulative thing, i.e. with the same example above, total word count = 28,001, so we clear Tier 1?

It's cumulative for the whole duration of the event yes, so in your example yes, we would have cleared Tier 1 by Day 3!

I probably put a bit of a low threshold with how fast we are going but I underestimated how many people would take part in it lol

Trying to beat a "daily highscore" of words written across all users could be interesting for another event, but a bit of a mess to coordinate because of timezones! And also because some people report their word count every two/three days, which would complicate things.

This way, everyone can contribute as long as they log the words written, no matter when!
