It's the start of a new Z-A Battle Royale in Lumiose, and trainers are gathering from all over the world to take part in it! Who gets to the top of the coveted A rank is fabled to get a wish granted...

Welcome to the second Writing Buddy event! It's November and in the spirit of NaNo I thought to host another event, and what better than something Z-A themed to celebrate the release of the new game?

    Here's how it will work:

    - The team you compete in the Z-A Royale with will be your WIPs. If you want to work on something else for NaNo, feel free to "box" some of your Pokémon to arrange a new team.

    - One gains ranks in the Z-A Royale by reaching certain thresholds of total words written across all your projects. The rank you've reached at the end of November will determine your prize.

    - It's not a Royale without battles, so in this competition, you will "battle" against other users with your WIPs.
Every time you report how much you have written for a certain project, you can optionally choose to "attack" the Pokémon of another participant with your own: for each attack, you get a bonus to your rank points as if you had written +50 words!
If the type(s) of your Writing Buddy is supereffective against their own, you get a bonus to your rank points as if you had written another +20 words!
An user that got "attacked" can choose to attack another user, or they can choose to get revenge by responding to the attack with the same Pokémon that got hit: in this case, they will get the additional +20 word bonus even if their Pokémon is not supereffective against the opponent.

    - To participate, please reply to the thread confirming that you are participating.

    - In each post during the event, please make sure to post a link to your Trainer Card and team for quick access, keep track of the total amount of words you have written, the rank you currently are, and make sure to tag whatever user you are attacking specifying who you are targeting!

Following is a table with the words required to reach each rank:

A great festival is underway in Ecruteak City. People have come from all over to celebrate, the streets of the city are full of stalls of food, music and games. Little statues and carvings of Ho-oH and the legendary beasts are sold everywhere as good luck charms. Suddenly, the bells in the Tin Tower start to ring, followed by three shapes running across the city. The three legendary beasts Entei, Suicune and Raikou are back in the city they were born in after centuries. But what do they want? The three beasts disappear swift as the wind, leaving the participants of the festival to give chase...

Welcome to the third event of the TR Writing Buddies!

Similarly to last year's event, it will be none other than a race! A race to catch up with Entei, Suicune and Raikou in fact. For the two weeks of the anniversary celebrations, we will try to write as many words as possible together!
There's different checkpoints we can reach, and during the event I will be totaling the amount of words everyone has written. We smashed through the checkpoints easily last year, so I decided to make it more difficult this time!

For the duration of the anniversary, once a day I will total all the words written in that day by all participants and see how far we've come. The prize won will be determined by the highest tier reached at the end of the anniversary.
    The tiers are as follows:

Tier 3: Caught up to Entei!
35k words written in total between all users, rewards a Mystery Egg that can contain any Pokémon from a specific type and generation, chosen by each user. 2/10 chances to also be shiny.
If the choosen egg is Fire type, you get Entei's blessing: the Pokémon will have 4/10 chances to be shiny.
All writing buddies also get +3 bonus levels

Tier 2: Caught up to Raikou!
50k words written in total between all users, rewards a Mystery Egg that can contain any Pokémon from a specific type and generation, chosen by each user. 3/10 chances to also be shiny.
If the choosen egg is Fire type, you get Entei's blessing: the Pokémon will have 5/10 chances to be shiny.
If the choosen egg is Electric type, you get Raikou's blessing: the Pokémon will have 5/10 chances to be shiny.
All writing buddies also get +4 bonus levels

Tier 1: Caught up to Suicune!
100k words written in total between all users, rewards a Mystery Egg that can contain any Pokémon from a specific type and generation, chosen by each user. 4/10 chances to also be shiny.
If the choosen egg is Fire type, you get Entei's blessing: the Pokémon will have 6/10 chances to be shiny.
If the choosen egg is Electric type, you get Raikou's blessing: the Pokémon will have 6/10 chances to be shiny.
If the choosen egg is Water type, you get Suicune's blessing: the Pokémon will have 6/10 chances to be shiny.

All writing buddies also get +5 bonus levels

Depending on the tier reached, there will also be small achievements to commemorate the event to put in your trainer card. And of course, bragging rights.

Once received at the end of the anniversary, I will make another post about how to handle the Mystery Eggs! If you don't want to assign them to any writing project right now, you can simply "box them" like you would in the games.
