Tina's Heretical House Party
Who's Tina? Well, that's me! The Renegade, the Shadow-Dragon, the Violent One - you know the stories. But! I am not reaching out to you now to eat your soul. No, what I want is for you to join me in the gnarliest, most disgustingly awesome house party that's ever happened in the entire cosmos, taking place right here in my dad's precious temple. Drinks will be drunk, priceless holy artifacts smashed, and for the headliner - a devilish game of Never Have I Ever.
You know that game, right? Everyone takes turns saying something they've never done but think other players might have, and those that have must suffer some manner of punishment. In my ingenious version of this game, that punishment comes in the form of a curse, as with every round, one of dad's Plates will be broken. I've tinkered with them a little to redirect their vengeful energy to those who do not fulfill the condition of the round. But don't worry! None of them will hurt you. Too much. Outside that, just about anything might happen…
So, you in or you in? Once again, that's at the Temple of Arceus, and the time is… well, all you have to do is accept this invitation, and you'll be there. Trust me, I'll make it happen.

So, it's been three years since the last party game Flash RP, and I've decided that's long enough. They always tell you to be the change you want to see in the world, so I'm dipping my toes into the grand world of RP hosting for the first time to see if I can make something wonderful happen.
Now, I do know that Keys to The Kingdom: Fading Aria is still going on, but that's just kind of an unfortunate coincidence in scheduling - you see, this week and the next are the only weeks I can host an RP like this for a good while due to my job. This timeslot was planned for a longer time, and it just appears that KttK has run long. I hope that there'll be free players available despite this, and I have nothing against people double-dipping. Hell, I'm playing KttK and I'm running this thing.
With that out of the way, let's explain this game a bit more thoroughly…
What and When
This is a Flash RP, meaning that it will last for a much shorter time than a typical campaign and generally be less intense and just for fun. The setting and circumstances for this game are the following: Giratina wants to have a house party at the Temple of Arceus while her father, the divine goat in question, is away. She has sent the message at the start of this post to your character in whatever format you deem most appropriate (a letter, an email, a voice in their head, doesn't matter as long as it gets the job done), and for one reason or another, your character has agreed to come. Upon this agreement, they will be teleported to the Temple, and after everyone's had a chance to mingle a little bit, the fun can begin - that being a game of Never Have I Ever with magical results. More detail on the Temple itself to come in the actual starting post once the thread is up.
Signups for this RP open now (but be sure to read the rest of the post before rushing to sign up) and end at 1 PM EDT July 17th [countdown here]. The RP itself will begin at 1 PM EDT July 18th [countdown here] and end at 1 PM EDT July 25th [countdown here], although players will be given a brief amount of time after that to wrap up whatever they're doing.
How the Game Works
As mentioned, this Flash RP's party game is Never Have I Ever. While Giratina did explain it in her own way at the start of the post, here's a clearer run-through:
If you find yourself unexpectedly busy for some time during the game and don't think it would be suitable to respond to all Never Have I Evers when you come back, don't worry! You can write those curses off as "duds". Do note, however, that this is not meant to be a get-out-of-jail-free card, and it is in the spirit of the game to have at least one of the stacked-up penalties (if there are any) cause you a curse. You are not supposed to join this game and not be cursed even once - although if that ends up happening without any "duds" just by virtue of who your character is, you obviously won't get penalized.

- Your character has agreed to come. They also need to take part in the party game.
- No godmoding. Godmoding means controlling other characters' actions or reactions. Exceptions are made for cases where something has been already coordinated beforehand with another player.
- Be respectful of fellow participants both within and outside of the game, and understand that this RP is meant to be a group activity. Everyone should be allowed a chance to have a turn for themselves, and people should be allowed to have a chance to react to a turn before the next one is started.
- If you are on the Thousand Roads Discord server, there will be a thread for the game where you can have public real-time coordination when it comes to the RP. If you're forum-only or otherwise unwilling to join the server, you can always send me a forum DM to ask about something and I'll do the necessary coordination on your behalf.
- You can also use OOC comments on the RP thread itself. Please format them with double square brackets [[like this]], and remember to keep things civil.
- Remember that this is just a game and these are only characters. Try not to take anything that happens between characters personally.
- Please do not vaguepost or act passive aggressively towards other players or the game as a whole. If something bothers you about the course of the game or someone else's behavior, contact me or a mod privately. (Note that I myself am not a mod and cannot take mod action!)
- Keep things PG-13, with the exception of stronger language (e.g. the fuck word) being allowed as long as it's within reason.
- Please also refrain from having your character make romantic or sexual advances towards another character unless you have received permission from that player to do so. Even then, it must stay PG-13.
- Please write in third person past tense standard English prose - for example, "John sighed and shook his head." This will not be enforced, but it is nice to have for a sense of consistency.
- Please bring only one character.
- This means, for example, that Pokémon trainer characters cannot bring any team members.
- If you have a character that is in a gray area when it comes to determining if they are one or multiple people (such as a character who is demonically possessed), please describe their situation and ask if it's alright, either in this thread or through forum or Discord DMs.
- Your character must be from a Pokémon universe. It can be any of the canon universes (mainline games, spinoff games, anime, so on) or your own interpretation of the Pokémon universe.
- You cannot bring characters that are from worlds without Pokémon, and you cannot bring characters that are from other franchises even if they come from a Pokémon crossover fanfic of yours.
- You most certainly cannot bring fictionalized versions of real people.
