Our "Weird and Wonderful" one-shot contest is now underway! Pokémon are strange and magical creatures, and for our writing contest this year, we want to see you higlight some of their oddest abilities and features! From stories about luxray thieves using X-ray vision to scope out targets to those about trainers bewitching opponents with their stantlers' mystic antlers, any sort of fic featuring a pokémon's unusual lore is welcome! Entries are due at 11:59 PM July 13th UTC.
"Well, er, let me be the first to say nice to meetcha, partner!" he piped. "Alright, my turn. If you're like me, where're you from? Going off of accent there, I'll guess Sun Major," he said.
"It's this cozy little town by the mountains, can't be more than 300 living there. Explorers like dropping by, the soil's real fertile, and there's a lot to explore 'round Twist. Only problem is... well, Mount Twist tends to... e-erupt."
"I dunno, couple... weeks? Yeah, woke up in the restaurant a couple weeks back, been livin' out in the woods ever since," Dill said. "Only now tried to get a roof over my head, and well."
"I've been here...for a few months, but didn't meet anyone else...until two weeks in," Saltriv said. "I woke up...all alone, in the Mist Continent wilderness. It...was a while before I found civilization again."
"Yeah, uh, that's always nice," Dill weakly smiled back, opening his mouth to add to this before stopping himself. Was he about to call this Bayleef a friend? He'd only talked to him for about five minutes, he wasn't sure he was bestie material. Besides, what if Rye showed up too? That would be really awkward to explain...
"Right. My turn. When do you reckon I can move in?" he asked.
