  • Thousand Roads has been around for six whole years! We're running a number of events to celebrate--check out drabble bingo, our mini review blitz, or TR writing buddies special prizes, going on for the whole anniversary period, and keep an eye on the announcement thread for updates as we add more to the lineup! Happy sixth birthday, TR!
  • Join us for a round of Speed Catnip, a lightning-fast feedback exchange! Swap short pieces of writing with your fellow community members to get quick feedback and sample bite-sized pieces of other people's works. Great for showing off your bingo drabbles, sharing a scene you're especially proud of, or getting feedback on a scene you're unsure of.

It's not about where you started. It's not about where you end up at the end of it all. It's about the path you take along the way. It's the good you do, the small things that nobody else could. That's what really matters. That's what makes a real hero. That, and the world-threatening plots you stop along the way.

This is a story about heroes in unlikely places. About found family and the lengths a person will go to protect what they’ve found.

This story is a custom AU that I’ve been building for my pokemon stories, with plenty of custom worldbuilding and elements of thriller/conspiracy stories. It is not a power fantasy wankfest. It is not competence porn, nor even a “realistic” pokemon fic. It is instead, an MCU style adaptation of the pokemon world into an epic tale of good and evil.

Rated T. Some chapters may push towards M with violence, but no further than MCU-level.
