"You're so in tune with this corruption that you should be able to find something that passes for a source on that hulking monstrosity you call a mate. Find it and direct Zacian to attack it."
He glanced up. Was that stupid moon still there? "Or feint her into firing at the moon. It worked for Joule."
He pumped his fists. “Don’t you wanna stop this madness? Just have a pleasant time with your mate? Get to know us? If you do, then,” he looked at the floor, “please… let us help you. Let’s stop all of this together!”
Chief, y'gotta reach out to Eien. Don't you love her? Let her feel it. Let her feel loved, not afeared.
"Brace yerself," warned Luz. "This is about t'get more fearsome'n ever..."
"Corruption..." Diyem searched and searched, then glanced at Owen, but Eien was plainly too massive to analyze all at once. Could it be her core? No, that was the very source of her energy, her heart. To strike that would be to kill her, should the blow be strong enough. But it was also the hardest place to destroy. It was her 'chest.' That was usually where the Parasites appeared. Perhaps...
"I know where to strike," Diyem said. He flared his wings.
"Zacian! Strike Zacian as you would, with your Darkwhite techniques!"
"Fine, fine, fine!" Zacian sighed. "Geez, I thought you guys
wanted to finish this! She's more durable than that!"
"I know. Just trust me."
"Funny coming from--"
"Not now, Zacian!"
Zacian smirked, then leapt toward Eien.
Zacian summoned an apparition of Darkwhite! It helped her attack!
Zacian used Darkwhite Combo for a total of 111 damage to Eien!
Zacian used Darkwhite Devastation against Eien, dealing 3211 damage! Eien was left with 1 HP!
Zacian... ran out of momentum!
"G-gah! M-my combo...!"
"Idiot." Diyem snarled. She still wasn't familiar with her body. But he had a backup plan.
"Owen."
"Y-yeah?"
"Do you trust me?"
"...Just tell me what to do."
Diyem nodded and sent a message telepathically to Owen. Then, while his eyes widened for only a moment, Diyem had no time to assure him; Owen already took off to follow through. Diyem smirked, ignoring the Shadows leaking from his jaw. So he really did trust him. Funny, that. To ever be trusted... He still couldn't believe it.
Diyem ascended with Owen, but conjured black chains that immediately grasped at the stray Darkwhite apparition, who stared at Diyem with an amused, swooning expression.
"Hush." Diyem shifted the creature's form until it resembled his own shape.
Diyem used Void Phantasm on Zacian! Diyem formed a Substitute!"
Diyem then balled up this copy and hurled it at Eien.
"Where?!" Diyem shouted.
"There!" Owen pointed, and Wishkeeper emerged from his back to extend his pointer to a portion within Eien's core. Now that they were up close, they could see something else there, swimming inside that plentiful sphere of energy.
"Very well." Diyem sent the Substitute toward it and Owen tried to fly back, but the waves of energy from this close to the core sent Owen's flight patterns askew. He slammed into Eien's coils and lost his balance, spiraling blindly away and caught in the storm's gusts.
"One strike. To the core. Eien... you're stronger than this. Survive!"
Diyem used Abyssal Evocation, gaining Helping Hand and an extra 50% power boost!
Diyem used Abyssal Replica again, chaining into Umbral Overcharge, chaining into a basic attack on Eien, dealing minimal damage!
Struck the core! Eien's HP was dropped to 0!
The Stored Onslaughts...
At the same time, the efforts to Purify Eien had also paid off, making that strange creature inside the core writhe noticeably. That was Diyem's true target. He held the Stored Onslaughts for just the right moment...
"Now!" Owen cried from below, just before he slammed into another coil, going limp as he fell the rest of the way to the ground.
"I see it."
Diyem slammed his claws into the core, grasping the tail of the thing. His body plunged halfway into Eien's core, and a significant portion of his body vaporized instantly. But he pressed onward.
"You will torment Eien no longer," Diyem snarled, like he was hearing something speak to him that only he could hear.
"You... are only a fragment of it. But know this, when I kill you, so your Prime will hear it: Eternal Blacklight... this is only a taste of what is to come."
And without another word, Diyem ripped the Parasite from Eien's body, volatile energies pouring out of the core as the wound rapidly sealed itself.
Diyem's Abyssal Onslaughts struck the Eterna Parasite 20 times for a CRITICAL total of 59,647 damage! It was obliterated!
Diyem's body was disintegrating. In his chest, his red, vulnerable core started to reveal itself, but there was a satisfied, if not spiteful grin on what remained of his shadowy face.
"Perfect," he muttered. His eyes trailed to Eien, wondering if she would hold... Yes. Yes, she would. They hadn't overwhelmed her... and did the bare minimum amount of damage necessary to break the parasite free.
"...Someone... catch me..."
Eien, meanwhile, was wailing, her flight failing her. The great leviathan was falling, slowly...
