Mellow walked inside and quietly marveled at the decorations. She hadn't been to any of the restaurants here yet; she'd been too preoccupied with growing her berry garden and working at the clinic... But everyone deserved time off. Especially since she'd decided to move into one of those homes and was getting a custom room built for said garden. Truthfully, most of her time off would revolve around moving. The Charmeleon sighed at the thought but shoved it away.

No need to think about that now. The reason she was here was to have a nice lunch with her friends. It wouldn't do to drag down the mood! So instead of thinking about her situation, she went and got a menu and started picking out what she wanted to eat.

Koa found himself in a distrist of Destiny Village he rarely frequented, and in a restaurant he didn't usually go to. The name though was certainly appealing - it was named 'The Hero'.

As he walked inside, a familiar figure caught his eye. A certain Incineroar that Brisa spoke highly of. And a former human.

"Oh hey," Koa called to the Incineroar, trotting over. "Starr, right?"

There weren't too many human trainers on the team. Nate might have been one, but the other humans didn't seem to have much experience being a trainer. But Starr... he was pretty sure she hailed from a world like his own. After all the craziness that had been happening, it would be nice to talk to someone like her. Plus, he was curious what other human worlds were like.

"You were a trainer, weren't you?"

In the days leading up to the big confrontation, Cynthian happened to be taking a leisure stroll around the parts of Destiny Village she didn't quite frequent often. After drifting through some of the streets, her wandering had brought her along the fancier sides of the town.

The few remaining signs of construction work remained a reminder of what had transpired not long before, but not even the wounds of disaster could douse the luxurious mood of that part of Destiny Village. She could only hope that's something that'll be preserved long after they've fulfilled their duties and returned to their worlds.

Among the crowd, a new but familiar figure stood out. Cynthian recognized them instantly: that one who didn't stick around much for greetings, one of the miracle matters.

Cynthian raised a vine to her cheek while she mused over her thoughts. Something about that psychic type made him feel unapproachable. Perhaps it was the cold air surrounding them, or the way he carried himself. He looked a bit lost. Not seeing the harm in it, the Roserade decided to approach him with the excuse of providing directions. Granted, she wasn't entirely familiar with their current street, but she'd manage. She went to him and put on the most polite and subdued impression she could handle.

"Hello," Cynthian greeted with a short bow. "I happened to be nearby and couldn't help but notice you seem a bit lost." She lifted her gaze, exposing a hint of nervousness in her smile. "Though forgive me if that's just my presumption."

Brisa wasn't usually one to fuss much over her appearance. Years of not giving a shit roughing it out in the dust and sheer townie-directed spite were a stubborn stain on any vanity she might have had. But one of them – her, Astrid, she somehow wasn't sure – had suggested dinner at The Hero, and she had enough sense to know that you dressed up a little for that. Luz had helped her pick out something that worked for her: a silk wild rag with a subtle fractal pattern. Smart, while still being 'her darned self', as Luz put it.

She fidgeted with her tail in the foyer as they waited to be seated, reminding herself that Cibus' easygoing culture held true even in an uptown venue, and that Astrid of all 'mon wouldn't think less of her for not knowing what to order or whatever faux pas she might make. She'd be fine.

She hoped she'd have an opportunity to order a drink as soon as they were seated. Something red and strong. Brisa looked over at Astrid and smiled despite herself.

"You're lookin' splendid as ever, partner," she offered, truthfully. "Reckon there's been a certain shine in yer pelt since you mastered yer form change technique."
