The smile faded as Mergo exhaled through his nostrils. One of these, was it? That took much of the sport out of things. Back to serious it was then.
“I suppose,” he permitted. “Personally though, it would make me terrified knowing that not only is there an outer-dimensional threat that can show up to a world and ravage it without its denizens being able to do anything to scratch it, but that there are multiple of them out there. If there’s two, what’s stopping it from being ten? But maybe that’s just me.”
He hopes their handler could hear that. Maybe it would give him some negativity to feed on.
“I believe I could stay for an appetizer,” Mergo said, as if his previous ramble hadn’t left his mouth. “I mean, this isn’t The Grace, but truth be told I’m used to a lot worse. This will do.”
