"...Fine," Rayquaza said. "I accept your proposal. In two days, we shall battle again at the Colosseum. There we can expose who is right and who is wrong."
"Through battle?" Owen said, frowning. He liked battle as much as the next battle-hungry Pokemon, but he didn't think it was the best way to settle a debate like this. "How would that prove who is right and wrong?"
"It will let me see into your heart," Rayquaza said, scoffing. "I thought that was obvious. It's as Arceus said: Pokemon can see into one another's hearts through battle. If I see that again, and I see something other than the blight that flows out of you like some disease... then I am wrong. But if I see nothing but darkness... then I am right."
"A very traditional mindset," Maple remarked, frowning. "Still, this could double as a way to increase morale, if we do it in a controlled environment..."
Shield looked toward the others. "Well, Karat, I don't think you'll be allowed to fight with us."
"He won't be," Pop said. "I am going to keep an eye on him. I have a few questions, so whatever ambush you had planned won't be happening again. Feel free to make arrangements in the two days you have otherwise."
"Am I going to be under any extra security?" Shield asked.
"No," Arceus said.
Shield looked insulted. "Well--why not?"
"You do not have the strength to escape."
Pop then nodded to the others. "That will be all. Thank you again for a job well done. Take this time to rest and I will prompt you with more information as it comes. And perhaps, if Rayquaza is feeling more cooperative, he will tell us more about what drove him to side with Shield as well."
