Amy spoke up. "Steven and I both figured that. He shared it with me, but we couldn't decipher any message." Amy shook her head. "If it was supposed to tell us something, it wasn't so good at it."

Amy spoke up. "Steven and I both figured that. He shared it with me, but we couldn't decipher any message." Amy shook her head. "If it was supposed to tell us something, it wasn't so good at it."



"Did you get some kind of question?" Amy asked.

She shook her head. “No, I don’t think I can get messages in return. I can only send them.”

“It was short, yes,” Rui said. “Only three words.”

"Ah," said Steven, an apologetic smile on his face, "it seems as if you were not the sender of my message, then. I'm sorry to have troubled you."

He then turned to the group at large, still ignorant of the all out brawl between Mademoiselle and the punk guy's Golisopod. "That means we still have other message senders within our group. Message senders who have attempted to communicate but were either intentionally obtuse, or..." Steven's gaze turned to where Salem was nearly leaping out of her fur, "the message was deliberately tampered with by another, and there is someone here whose power is able to see through this tampering..."

He spit some blood out of his mouth, and wiped what dripped from his nose. A violent grin crossed his lips.

"Of fuckin' course not. I don't give a fuck WHAT you are," he said. "I'm Guzma motherfucking Kahele, and I'm not scared of a goddamn thing."

He turned back toward Golisopod, who looped back from their opening attack.

"Brace for a tantrum from the eAtEr oF sOuLs," he scoffed.

Mademoiselle yowled in both the surprise of the attack and the pain that blossomed in her jaw. She took one look at the man she threw and his pokemon. She snarled and with a few well placed strikes sent the large bug scampering back to it's ball. She wasn't new to battle, especially with those who played dirty—it was a lesson she quickly learned while serving the royal guard.

With the bug gone, Mademoiselle pinned the now, grinning man down with her talons, grip just shy of cracking his ribs. "How's this for a 'tantrum'?" she snarled. "Let this be a lesson to you," she began, squeezing tighter. "If you ever do that again, I will break every fucking bone in your body." The tone of her voice was deep and venomous, making it clear that this was no empty threat.

"But," Amy said, "they could have tried to find some way to secretly respond in the morning, couldn't they?"

Steven jolted, surprised at the girl's words. "Wait just a moment. This is... I'm going to need a moment. This might not seem like much, but this is important."

Rui smiled at Amy again. “Of course! That’s what I was hoping for! But so far I haven’t been able to catch any answers…either my pen pal has been too shy to come forward, or they’ve tried to answer me in some other way and I’ve missed it…”

Palkia finally decided to return to the group, figuring it would just be better if he were there. Hopefully nothing crazy had happened while he was having his mental breakdown.

"I don't think so," Mademoiselle growled before unceremoniously sitting on him, covering his face with a wing so she wouldn't have to deal with hearing his voice. She looked back towards Steven. "If you think there is some kind of code hidden in the message, perhaps it may be wise to share it with us, surely one of us would be able to figure it out."

Although I don’t get to know who mine went to, and I don’t get a reply back unless they answer me in the day time.” She glanced at Steven. “But his message is all scrambled or something. Maybe we have to decode it? Though, I’m not sure if his message and mine were the same. We might have another pen pal out there.”
