Heya, beginning my annual tradition post-Blitz of responding to… well, it’s not quite stories that I never plan on bumping again in this case, but it’s off in a hazy and unplanned future that probably won’t be coming around this calendar year given that I have a full deck as it is, so good enough. I opted to go in order of "most recent bump" this year, so that way I could better track which of my stories needed a bit more of a signal boost throughout the year, so that brought me here first.
Anyhow, right on to that response:

Hrm. I can kinda see the argument here, but I think that I’m going to stick to my guns on this one since the idea I originally had was that not everyone necessarily called that meadow the same thing.
Potentially. But that involves going off into a place that’s not a truly “safe” place in the perceptions of Abri’s residents.
That would be because the part where “border patrol” could be enforced doesn’t encompass the meadow itself.
That’s just another day ending in ‘y’ for the average youth protagonist in a story. Like Team Aspirant there. /s
I mean, it helps that they got booted from their last homes in the forests due east of said meadows.
Well, it’s certainly disorienting, to say the least.
Or you’re just strong enough to not care. That also happens, too.
Not at the moment, no. Otherwise Patron’s threat about leaving the village high and dry would’ve fallen a bit flat if there was a big enough Strategic Rusefox Reserve in Abri that didn’t answer to him.
More like they had Pen signs in their eyes. The ‘mon saw more the equivalent of those snatching scenes from the WotW remake with Tom Cruise in it.
Usually pretty good, since they’re important enough to get paid a share of the takings.
I could see it, honestly.
Well, that would certainly work for the shorter term. If I can ever be bothered to write an extension or two to this story, it’d likely turn out to be a really, really bad idea for reasons that will likely become apparent as you get further on into this story.
I mean, it is his job to call stuff out, so…
Yes, yes, and no in that order. Even if you’re at least directionally correct with “hula hoops”.
Nah. It’s just stuff washed away after heavy rains.
Nah, it’s an ice box. Like the sort one would use to take drinks to a barbecue.
That would be a clever idea, except for…

Something something, Pokémon having trouble wrapping her head around human concepts.
Not by level-up, they can’t. And the two are intended to be fairly weak in the grand scheme of things.
To be fair, if you’ve watched the right anime seasons, you might have encountered Mr. Ice Floe after all.
I mean, I dunno if I’d have characterized Fletchling as a rare Pokémon. Fortunately for the gang, the human’s not that one track minded.
Almost like it’s not a normal PMD setting, hm…?

Which is part of the reason why they were so desperate to go and try and get their stuff.
Well, it’d be a boring story if so. But I’ll let you get in some more commentary about that when you get there.
