Thousand Roads' Seventh Anniversary Celebration
Another year has come and gone, and it's time to celebrate! Thousand Roads turned seven on April 24th, if you can imagine that. The major milestone we reached over the past year was our thousandth fic posted to the forums. That's a huge milestone, and not one I could even imagine when I was first setting the forums up. It's been a pleasure to get to know all of you, new friends and old. Seven whole years! Let's celebrate!
Here's what we've got lined up for this year's anniversary events. If you'd like to throw another event into the pool, it's not too late! Just send me a message and we can get you on the schedule, no problem. Keep an eye on this thread for further event updates throughout the anniversary period!
Forum Events
- Come on down to Drabble Bingo! Stop by the thread to pick up your custom bingo card of prompts, then get writing!
- It's time for our annual mini Review Blitz, too! Get out there and appreciate some Bingo drabbles--or whatever else strikes your fancy!
- @Nekodatta is hosting a special writing event for TR Writing Buddies! We'll be writing as many words as we can to try and catch up with the legendary beasts--help us out by getting a few words in during the anniversary!
- @Inkedust will be hosting our annual mafia game, this year with a new twist! Look out for more information on that event as the Anniversary progresses.
- @The Walrein is hosting a new Story Swap event! Write the beginning of a story during the first week of Blitz, then receive another person's story to complete during the second week!
- @Flyg0n is hosting a new Grunt Recruitment Symposium! Pitch your evil team idea to the community and see how many grunts you can convince to join your organization!
- I will host a small Keys to the Kingdom RP mission! Look out for sign-ups during the second week of the anniversary.
Discord Events
- I'll be hosting a round of Speed Catnip the weekend of May 2nd and a voice chat fic reading the weekend of May 9th. If you're interested, please click on the event link in the previous sentence and fill out the timing poll so I know the best time to host. I'll announce the final date/times in this thread as they become available.
- I will also be organizing a day of writing sprints in service of the Writing Buddy event, most likely the weekend of May 3rd. Watch this thread for updates on that!
