Harbinger of Sunrise
You don't know how you got here.
The soft breeze dances and jostles sparkling moss and grass, tickling your back. Laying face-up, you are greeted with branches upon branches of rust-coloured bark extending beyond the skies. Hosting an innumerable number of prismatic, star-shaped leaves, they shine, dappling the sourceless light in a variety of hues.
It's peaceful. You feel like you could just sleep here forever. But the moment you close your eyes, you feel someone nudging you with their foot.
"Hey! You awake?"

OVERVIEW:
Hello everyone, and welcome to this year's anniversary Mafia game! Before we begin, this game will be quite different from the Mafia games that you are used to on this forum, this game will be on the more experimental side, but I hope you enjoy what I've got in store!
To shake things up from prior Mafias, this game will borrow heavily from another, albeit similar, social deduction game called Blood on the Clocktower. This will include several rules and roles present. Because this setup is experimental (and it's been a while since I've run a game), it's intended to be more beginner-friendly compared to other games run in prior years.
SETUP:
- Players will be assigned a "seating arrangement" based on signup order. Many roles will be influenced by this.
- While they lose any abilities provided by their roles, dead players remain active and continue contributing to discussion.
- After death, players have the ability to cast one more vote, called a "ghost vote".
- Alignment is not revealed upon player death, only at the end of the game alongside their role.
- All possible roles within the game will be revealed upon game start.
- The game will begin at N0 but there will be no night kills until N1.
- The scum team will not have the ability to communicate with each other during the day.
- The scum team will be provided with up to three fakeclaims by the GM.
- The game will be capped at 12 players.
- Day and night phases are fixed to 48 hours. There will be no extensions nor any way to shorten the day.
- Roleplay is optional, but encouraged. Any and all OOC discussion should be marked in square brackets, [like this].
SIGNING UP:
Flavour-wise, PMD rules apply for this game. For the duration, any character you bring must be transformed into a pokémon, assuming they aren't already one. Your signup should consist of your character's...

- While I want this game to be as fun as possible for everyone involved, please be aware that by its very nature, Mafia can be a very stressful experience. This game is known to get intense at points and if you feel that you can’t handle such an environment, then I implore you to at least think twice before signing up.
- If you’re only signing up only to roleplay, please don’t. While I wholeheartedly encourage roleplaying, as it adds to the fun of the game, Mafia is a social deduction game first, and a roleplaying experience second. Playing the game just to roleplay will not only bring down the experience for everyone else but also yourself.
- If you sign up, I expect you to play. If you are inactive for more than 48 hours, I will sub you out or, if no substitutes can be found in time, modkilled. I understand that life can be unpredictable and you may not have as much time as you initially thought during signups but the least you can do is make an effort to participate, the game won't work nearly as well if we don't have everyone participating.
Thank you for your time, see you on the other side!
