Seventh Anniversary Event Planning​

Thousand Roads' anniversary is approaching once again! The community officially opened on April 24th, 2019, and we'll be celebrating for about two weeks, April 25th - May 9th. As usual, we'll be running a number of small events throughout the anniversary period so that people can easily pop in here and there to sample whatever interests them. If you've ever thought about trying to organize your own community event, now is a great time to give it a shot! I'm also looking for some volunteers to help out with the events I'm running. The full schedule will be announced at the beginning of the event, and I'll be adding activities as people volunteer, but here's what we have so far:

Forum Events​

- We're holding another round of drabble bingo! Ask for a bingo card of prompts on a theme--or completely at random--and write ultra-short stories in response to win a prize!

- The mini review blitz will also return! Leave a couple nice pieces of feedback this anniversary, and you could find yourself with a new forum companion!

- Tetra will be running an evil team recruitment campaign! Pitch your villainous team idea to recruit followers, then volunteer for your favorite pitch and see which nefarious group ends up triumphing in the end!

- I'll be hosting a Keys to the Kingdom roleplaying mission! Watch out for sign-ups in the latter half of the anniversary period.

Discord Events​

- Speed catnip returns for another year! Sample bite-sized bits of fic and receive quick feedback in this frenetic real-time review swap game. Look out for sign-ups and more information about this event during the anniversary's first week.

- We'll be hosting at least one voice chat fic reading this year--the one we had last year was too much fun not to bring back! Stop by to read a bit from your own story, read a bit of someone else's fic aloud, or simply listen in and enjoy some small story previews.

How You Can Help​

- I'm looking for a host for our annual anniversary mafia game!

- If anyone would like to host a second round of Speed Catnip or fic readings, let me know! It's always nice to offer more options for people who may not be able to make the most popular time.

- If you have any interest in running a small event, such as an art or movie stream on Discord, a flash RP, or a little writing game, this would be a great time to do it! Feel free to post here to gauge interest, or send me a DM if there's something you know you'd like to do.

Thanks to everyone who reached out with offers to help with Bingo this year! As of this post, I think we're set for volunteers.

I would be interested for sure! I would probably host another writing marathon on the Discord if you set this up, most likely on the middle weekend of the event (weekend of May 2nd) so that people would have a chance to pick up their Bingo cards first.

After checking interest, against my better judgement, I'll raise my hand to run this year's Mafia. I got the concept for a game in mind, so it shouldn't take me too long to put something together.
