Rocky Road ~ House of Kate, Cabot, and Nip

A few days after the team had rescued Sword from the Worldcore, Cabot approached one of the houses on Rocky Road alongside Pleo, Kate, and Melanie. With Celeste having moved out of his and Nip's room a while back, and Brisa having moved in with Owen, Kate was one of the most logical candidates to join him and Nip in their new home, especially with how fond Pleo was of her. The Rampardos looked on ahead as he sized up the place, before turning over to his new housemates.

"Well, looks like this is it," Cabot said. "It seems pretty big, so at least there will be plenty of space for you, Melanie."

Pleo looked at Melanie excitedly. "I can't believe we get to live at the same house!" the Lugia exclaimed as he beat out his wings. "This is gonna be so much fun!"

After Team Spectrum's battle against Eien, things soon returned back to normal for Cabot, or at least relatively normal now that Pleo was over five times as large as he used to be. He, Kate, and Nip had gotten most work done around the house by now, with the place now being well furnished and each of them having their own proper bedrooms that they shared with their Shades.

The only thing they had yet to take care of, was the floor. He'd never liked the marble flooring all that much, and Kate and Nip didn't seem to really enjoy feeling of it underneath their feet either. After bringing home a sample of a dark gray carpet, it didn't take much for him to convince his teammates to get a carpet flooring for most of the rooms, and before they knew it, installation came and went.

Cabot watched as Pleo nestled on the carpet in the living room alongside Melanie, happily chirping about how soft it felt. The Rampardos smiled at the sight, before eagerly turning to Kate.

"Well, what do you think of it?" he asked.

The week after the defeat of the Eternal Blacklight came and went faster than Kate imagined. Before she knew it, it was nearly the final evening, and she had sprawled out along the couch with Cabot, pinning her head up against him to rest as the TV droned on in the background.

She still didn’t fully understand how the device worked. But the show that day was some sort of swashbuckling tale following pirates outwitting a chasing navy in the pursuit of a cursed treasure. Guess that was as much a sign as any that Cabot was ready to go home. Except something about the show didn’t quite seem right for a goody-goody type like him…

"So, different perspective aside, any of this seem accurate to you at all?” the Weavile teased. “It's not really that easy to kick you navy types around, is it?"
