[Adamhuarts]

The day went slowly that morning. Cynthian rocked her legs behind her, belly flopped on the bed while browsing random things on her badge. The chaotic rush of the past couple of days left her feeling restless now that all she could really do is wait till whenever Diyem calls on them to subdue Maple in the coming days.

After a yawn, she sat up to stretched her limbs out. There was always a way to stave off her boredom, and who better to help with that than the embodiment of games and mischief?

She left her bed and went around the house till she found Sword and Shield. With her badge held out, she peeked over the doorway and cleared her throat to grab their attention. "Hey guys, I'm thinking of ordering some ice cream on my badge. Want me to get you anything?"

 

[Namohysip]

"Every flavor!" Sword cried from the other room.

"Pick as favorite," Shield chided.

"...Is there a flavor that's every flavor?"

"Just get rainbow sherbet again," Shield told Cynthian. "I'll take Pecha."

"No, I want cookies 'n cream! That's what I want today."

"Well, you heard her."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Sure thing guys." Cynthian chuckled and walked into the room to have a seat. She placed the orders and then looked up.

"It's pretty convenient, isn't it. Being able to get any food you want without having to leave your home," Cynthian said, placing the badge face down on the stool beside her. "They should do stuff like this on my world."

"How are you two doing today? Doesn't seem like Sword has any more recovering to do. Are you both back at 100% too, Shield?"

 

[Namohysip]

"I'm feeling like I'm back at my best," Shield confirmed, sitting up. Sword was taking on the form of a Charmander again, this time without any pink skin. And while it was temporary, and while her true form was that of a Mew, she still seemed more comfortable in that state.

"And I'm better than my best! I'm working on being Darkwhite at will!"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Whoa! That's so cool, Sword!" Cynthian beamed. "You really took me by surprise when you went Darkwhite at the colosseum the other day."

"Here I thought we'd never get to see that form again." Cynthian tapped on her cheek and tilted her head slightly. "Do you think you'll still be able to use it even when you guys return to Telum?"

"Speaking of that, I'm really happy for you both that your world is still alive..." Then she looked away nervously. "Though we'll have to figure out how to make Maple throw it up safely first... I'm sure it'll work out though."

 

[Namohysip]

They both nodded. "I'm hoping... that we'll be able to work something out," Shield said. "Maybe we can help... but it might be risky if we do. I'm not really sure if we can, not with all that energy nullification happening. Darkwhite might be in her, but that Eterna stuff isn't... And I wouldn't want to risk it returning anyway."

Sword nodded, and she looked a little dampened at that. "Pop said he might have something for us later, but it's not ready yet. Something to do with Bean, too... dunno. They're boring when they talk."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Aww, well that's too bad," Cynthian said, visibly deflated and pouted a bit. "I'd love to fight beside you guys. Why can't they get it ready sooner?"

 

[Namohysip]

"I don't really know. It sounds like a lot of work... and they're probably not in the most ideal location right now, either. Not even we know where they are, actually..." Shield shrugged. "But he's trying. Him and Cola are apparently getting along a lot better."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"They are? That's good for them then," Cynthian said with a relieved sigh. A brief moment of silence passed as Cynthian tried to say something but didn't know how to approach it.

"Um, Sword? Are you planning on hitting the colosseum again any time soon?" Cynthian asked a bit shyly. Challenging others to fights just didn't fit her nature all that well...

 

[Namohysip]

"Totally!"

"Not yet," Shield replied. "She still needs training. I'm trying to teach her better fighting techniques. She easily could have won against Brisa, but she got careless and reckless."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Does she though? I think Sword is plenty strong already. I'd love to have a go at it with her," Cynthian argued quickly, not expecting Shield's cut in on the proposal.

"We technically also have a score to settle from way back in the Silver Trench when my attract spell didn't work . I'm no good as Brisa either, so I'd say the odds are about even." Cynthian looked to Sword with an eager smile and slightly rosy cheeks. "What do you say, Sword?"

 

[Namohysip]

"I say y--"

"Are you sure you want to fight her?" Shield said. "Darkwhite can get pretty rough in a fight, and I think the audience was a little wary about it..."

"Aww, quit worrying! I bet it'll be fun! Besides, if something goes wrong, I'll be surrounded by a bunch of buff, strong Pokemon that can put me in my place!"

"...That... you phrased that oddly. Why did you phrase it that oddly?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Oh, you're on, Sword!" Cynthian said, laughing her hearts out. She turned to shield and then smiled. "Don't worry about me Shield. I already took a beating from Darkwhite in the Worldcore and It's not like I hated it." She evoked a dreamy sigh. "I feel the most alive when I'm fighting her."

Cynthian's badge buzzed and she picked it up to read the notification. She closed it and stood up, heading for the door. "Ice cream's here. I'll go get it!"

Sword giggled and rested against Shield's side, leaving the Lucario to wonder if, somehow, he was the crazy one...
