I made this while brainstorming and getting recollection from other past PMD fics I tried to write! I thought I might put what I've tried to write on the list. You can add to the list of reverse tropes from PMD fanfictions or from the games. I don't remember much, but these came from the top of my head hehehe!
Relationships, Characters, and Teams (not in any specific order)
Kid Isekais as a Pokémon being a hero < A kid who thinks it's a video game is the antagonist!
I thought of this while watching a review of an isekai anime, the MC was not gonna tell the kid he's in the real world and not in a video game. She just sends him to prison!
The first Pokémon you see:
Partner, who won't leave your side < Enemy/Rival, who won't leave your sight
Bonus: You can still date your enemy for manipulative gain... yay! [Mine got divorced three times and married twice]
Teamates & groups:
Teammates being different Pokémon < Everyone's from the same Pokémon line
Or
Everyone's a shiny
Bonuses if they're all different evolution stages, along with a gimmick or token variant
Rescue teams < kidnapper teams
Specifications for funsies: Some rescue teams are more like treasure hunters anyway, like the bunnary machop and gardivour; it's not like they're rescuing people all the time. So, technically, they don't kidnap all the time… they could also protect the dungeon, which is the opposite, for sure! :)
Guild school/academy/going back to school < Evilll schoooool
If some Pokémon are evil because they adopt the known traits of their species, and profit from it. Why not make a school for it?
Other/ OTher means too lazy to organize
Guided by a spirit < guided by the antagonist for you to help kill themselves/ another spirit
Antagonist being spirits or climate change < The humans' effect on climate change is still affecting Pokémon

Bonus: a dead human or a spirit comes to your house to give you false memories or psychological changes to change your instincts to think you're human. For funsies yknow :D The 'it was all a dream' is from the end of the PMD manga! also fun angst for the end of the fic or near the end lol
TW Religion/demon
You knew you were a human < You forgot you were a demon
Bonus: A knife twist or comedic lore would be if they're religious, or a parent/priest who thinks Pokémon are made by the devil.

Humans are known as extinct/Lost civilization < Humans have never existed and are fictional. (Arcues control group universe)
I originally thought of it with feral Pokémon in mind, with the protagonist going insane in confusion, and going into dead end with artifacts. Until they get into a cult that belived in humans that were never their in the first place.

idk, this seems funny in my head. There's probably some fics about it, but which god would specifically have you be destined as evil! like necessary evil of the sort hahaha! unless it's a misinterpretation from the prophecy that they're good guys, and they're the devil lol! [Oh no, rambling off topic to what the hell I'm trope reversing, time to press reverse and get back on track, at least I should]
The prophecy < A prophecy that lies or Gossip that became true [No cultist needed]
like the two doors were one, is telling the truth, the other is lying...

Dungeon keeps you sane, and anyone outside of it goes feral!
Monster House might probably be called Pokémon House, a house that houses a diverse amount of Pokémon, or a free sleeping and nesting area!
Hehe, that's all! thinking about dungeons, and those that stay outside start developing human behaviors. like professions or stillness! imagining the guild in mind, having them act more human makes sense. They're trying to find something, like coming back to the dungeon to destroy it! Almost like those ant parasites that make them into zombies.
Unlike how dungeon ferals are more animistic, outside ferals are more violent, more in a mercenary type of way.
