The ground rumbled... and with a ripple in the fabric of space itself, the Ultimate Entity saw their will to fight and decided that they were worthy. Time... rewound itself, and it faded into the aether once more...

"We'll take them to a holding cell," Maple said. "We have one prepared for something like this. We never thought we'd use it, but here we are..."
The team turned their attention to the figure at the top of the mountain. "But first..." Maple nodded at Potluck and Truffle, who were halting Giovanni and Mewtwo away and into the portal. They didn't have much on them that wasn't destroyed, but even the scraps were taken away.
Maple formed a portal that made a speck of light just below the summit. "Let's go," she said gravely to them. "Whoever this is, they were able to defeat Giovanni and all of Poppin' Arms' elite in one fell swoop."
"They were weakened, though," Owen said. "It might not be the same."
Maple said nothing, passing through.

"...That's him," Maple said. "That must be the one that had attacked Destiny Tower."
"He left a lot of damage when he did," Owen added. "But... he doesn't seem to notice that we're here."
"No." Maple shook her head. "He knows."
Standing at the top of the summit, with his back toward them, was a Charizard with a black-white flame. On his shoulder was a Pikachu, twitching now and then with agitation. Maple took a single step forward and the Charizard's flame pulsed in kind.
"There's... something about him," Owen said. "What's this feeling? And... what's that in his hand?"
"I know what you mean and I still don't know what it is," Cal said, her ectoplasm jiggling. "He--ah! Wait! That's a Poke Ball, isn't it? And he has an item bag, too. Doesn't look Cibus-made, though..."
Charizard turned his head back, a piercing stare right at them.
"... ... ..."
