Ash sighed
“Pikachu, come on let’s go to the lab now”
Lumian slammed his hand onto Ash’s back
“I’ll drive you”
“EWHY DID YOU HIT ME!”
Deliia sighed
“Boys don’t do anything stupid”
Ash pointed at Lumian
“Why are you guys looking at me?”
Lumian furrowed his eyebrows
“You slid under a dining table to hide from mom, that’s stupid”
“THAT WAS STRATEGIC”
Delia pointed at Lumian
“DRIVE ASH TO THE LAB AND GO TO SCHOOL!”
“WHY AM I CATCHING STRAYS!”
“CAUSE ASH HAD ENOUGH FOR THE LAST WEEK, OKAY!”
Pikachu sighed
“Pikapi”
(This is stupid)
Ash sighed
“I am getting late!”
Lumian sighed
“I have to go to school too!”
Ash sighed and pulled Lumian’s ear to his car
“I said I’M GETTING LATE!”
“OOOOOW WHAT THE HELL YOU’RE NOT EVENN DRIVING!”
Ash grabbed his hand
“Ash, ash, ash”
The car was red, with a hood ornament of a rotom
He threw him towards the car
“AAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!”
He hit the the car, safely
“ASH KETCHUM GIVE YOUR BROTHER SOMETIME TO BREATH! THROW HIM AFTER HE’S HAD SOME REST FROM THE EAR PULLING, ITS MORE EFFECTIVE!”

Delia grinned
But it faded
“Yes”
Pikachu sighed
“PIKAKAPI!”

And he ran to the car, snatched Lumian’s keys
Opened the car door
And shoved him into the driver's seat
And sat down beside his seat
“GO GO GO!”
Pikachu ran to the car
“WAIT WAIT WAIT!”
He opened the window
Pikachu jumped into it

Ash slapped Lumian in the back
“MOVE IT!”
Pikachu laughed

“So, Ash, what are you gonna tell Serena what happened yesterday?”
“I dunno, I don’t wanna care”
Lumian honked
“GET OUTTA THE WAY, I NEEDA DRIVE MY SIBLING TO WORK!”
Ash sighed
“Don’t yell while driving!”
“YOU WANTED TO GET TO WORK!”
“Slow down a bit, I can’t have my brother get a speeding ticket!”

Ash started scouring through his bag
“Where is the sushi mom packed?”
Ash found it
“There it is!”
And closed it
[10 Minutes later]
Ash opened the car door
“Bye, bro”

Serena opened the door
Lumian sped outta there, cause he don’t want no small talk
“Ash! You’re back!”
Ash went to hug her
“Yea!”

Serena blushed

Ash released the embrace to look around
*No one saw!
I don’t get bombarded by dating questions, well, yet*
Serena sighed
“You’re checking for reporters?”
“Yes, the bombardment would be unsocialable”
Serena facepalmed
*At least he’s honest*
Chloe appeared
“Hey… Ash”
“Oh hi Chloe!”
Chloe grinned while looking at Serena
“Serena told me you sent the kiss emoji to her”
Ash turned around
“WHY?”
Pikachu started laughing

Goh came in
“Hi Ash?”
Ash ran into the door ignoring everyone
“I SHALL BE LYING ON MY BED”
Ash ran past Chloe
Chloe sighed
“You still like him?”
“Yes”
Goh sighed
“Another day of timepass”
Ash sighed
“I DON’T CARE RIGHT NOW, GOH!”
Professor Cerise sighed
“Let him cool down”
Goh sighed
“This is crazy from Ash”
Cerise facepalmed
“Young couples”
“Coming from Ash, unexpected”
Cerise brought out his Rotom device(Like seriously, pokemon plot writers, what is this, you call it a rotom phone, it can also be a tablet, so what is this?)
“But, I’ve found some strange readings in the Crown Tundra, Ultra beast energy readings”
Ash ran back
“Ultra beast readings?”
Goh sighed
“Why are running back for this”
“I’m the champion of the place where Ultra Beasts are found, I would be concerned, duh”
Chloe sighed
“You ran faster for Ultra Beast, than Serena”
Serena turned into a Tamato berry
“Chloe shut up”
“So I’m right?”
“You’re hearing Ultra Beast readings and your first reaction I ran faster than for Serena, where are your priorities?”
Professor Cerise sighed
*This is stupid*
Ash facepalmed
“Professor, anything else for the job?”
Authors Note(This is unskippable, its very important for the plot):- So basically I will be calling Rotom-Phones, Rotom-Phones but there will be 4 modes:-
Phone Mode:- So basically the normal phone one
Tablet Mode;- A tablet but consumes more battery than Phone Mode
Computer Mode:- The Rotom generates a keyboard and mouse out of electricity, and yes it is completely safe to touch, while the Rotom-Phone’s screen becomes bigger, but more battery is consumed
Laptop Mode:- The Rotom generates the keyboard and touchpad with electricity and it consumes more battery than Tablet mode but less than Computer Mode
The Professor tapped the Button on the side of Rotom-Phone
“Rotom, Tablet Mode”
The Rotom-Phone’s screen increased in size
“Tablet Mode, activated”
Goh’s eyes gleamed
“That never stops being cool!”
Ash sighed
“It can’t become a gaming console though.”
Serena laughed
“It can still PLAY games”
Ash realized
“Oh, Professor continue”
Professor Cerise opened his research file on the Crown Tundra
“You see this energy has been there since a long time, but in the recent days it has been growing”
Goh was carefully observing it
“It’s like a pulse, but it increases every once in a while”
Ash opened his Rotom-Phone
“I have seen Reports on this weird red beam there”
Ash turned the phone to tablet mode
“But this beam appears from a Magearna”
Goh put a finger on his lip
“Doesn’t your friend Lillie have a Magearna with her?”
“Yes”
The professor failed to remember
“Who is Lillie again?”
Ash sighed
“The girl who’s finding her father, last I contacted her she said she was in Galar”
Goh wondered
“Could this be her Magearna?”
Ash stared closer
“Yes but also No”
Serena furrowed her eyebrows
“How?”
“Well this beam hasn’t been there all the time, I believe it’s connected to a Nihilego”
Professor Cerise opened a Graph
“Explain”
“So I blatantly remember, Lillie’s father (Mohn) was said to be taken by a Nihilego, so maybe… JUST maybe it could be possible Magearna is locating her father while Nihilego is nearby”
Ash continued
“So technically Nihilego might be changing Mohn’s memories to think that she is Lillie”
Serena was staring at Ash
*How is he speaking all of this?*
Chloe opened her mouth
“-”
“And If technically the pulse is increasing it means Lillie is getting closer to Mohn, while the same Nihilego has altered his memories”
Serena was staring at the graph
“Assuming your blatant theory is true(Which it might be), could we unalter Mohn’s memories somehow?”
“Possible, but it’s theory, either his memories have been suppressed and replaced, or fully replaced and if we unalter it is a BIG issue, the 1st option is we could unsuppress the suppressed memories but the 2nd option would require a 2nd Nihilego”
Chloe sighed
“How are you talking?”
Ash ignored her
“But this is all a HUGE assumption”
Professor nodded
“So this is just a huge theory”
“Yes”
Chloe sighed
“HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS”
Ash ignored her again
“But the only we could confirm it, is if we go there and research”
Chloe tried to say something
Professor Cerise interrupted her
“So you’re saying field research would be optimal.”
Ren walked in holding his Coffee
“What’s happening”
Goh started pouring details
“Ultra beast incident, connected to Ether Foundation incident, possible Magearna connected, possible Nihilego connected, memory alteration, unalteration, Ash’s alolan friend, Lillie might be connected, her father might be connected, and this is all Ash giving us a theory”
“HOW MUCH COFFEE DID YOU GIVE HIM?”
Ash raised his finger
“I drank 3 cups”
Goh stared
“WITH 5 SUGAR CUBES IN EACH”
Serena sighed
“He’s committed more food crimes with sugar than I can count on my fingers”
Ash sighed
“I LIKE sugar”
Chloe smirked
“More than Serena?”
“NOT THE TIME FOR THAT!”
Professor sighed
“He is right Chloe, this is serious”
Ash sighed
“I’ll go get my winter gear”
Chloe laughed
“And what do you classify winter gear as”
Ash started walking but paused
“Sweater, beanie (unfortunately), gloves, goggles, mask, scarf”
Goh furrowed his eyebrows
“Why do you unfortunately have to wear a beanie?”
“They protect your ears at the cost of ruining your hair”
Goh continued
“I’ve never seen you wear a beanie”
“BECAUSE I HATE THEM!”
“How do you know they ruin your hair”
Ash breathed in
“So in my childhood, lots of times we would go out in the snow, mom would FORCE me to wear a beanie, and I would come home to see my hair ruined!”
Goh sighed
“So it was differently styled”
“It was flat down, too messy for me, and I caught a cold for some reason”
“Too messy?”
“To the point it looked like it was curled”
Serena was imagining him
*He would’ve been cute*
“People curl their hair intentionally”
“I know, but it was too curled, the curls had curls!”
"THAT'S WEIRD”
Ash sighed
“And that’s why I hate beanies”
Ash stared at the graph for a minute
“That’s not the usual energy an ultra beast emits, that's 100x weaker, the records I looked in as my time as an ultra guardian, that is something mimicking it”
Cerise furrowed his eyebrows
“Mimicking?”
Chloe facepalmed
“WHEN DID YOU BECOME SMART”
Ash continued, entirely ignoring Chloe
“Or rather if we see the graph carefully it is actually going down, either the numbers are glitched or the line is”
Chloe sighed
“How did you deduct that from 1 minute of staring at it”
Ash laughed
“Skill Issue”
Serena almost burst out
“aSh!”
Goh fully burst out
“Nah”
Ash continued
“I think it’s just a fad, it’s likely wormhole residual, but the best way to find out is field research”
Goh smirked
“Fad more like FAH”
Ash speedblitz’ed a cushion at him
“THAT HURTS!”
“THEN STOP MEMEING AROUND, THAT’S THE 20TH TIME THIS WEEK”
Ash continued
“As I was saying, we should do field research”
“Wouldn’t that be dangerous?”
Ash didn’t hesitate
“Skill Issue”
The Professor cleared his throat
“Ash, professional answer”
Ash sighed
“Basically you have to precautions, use your winter gear, do not touch any glowing objects”
Goh pointed at himself
“Is that directed at me?”
“Yes”
He continued
“Don’t split up and also using pokemon properly”
Chloe sighed
*He’s smart but dumb at the same time for some reason*
Ash yawned
“Anyways get packing”
Serena sighed
“How I am dating th-”
Serena closed her mouth
*WHY DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?*
Chloe sighed
Cerise yawned
*Them dating is for the better*
Ash turned around and facepalmed when no one was looking
*WHY DID SHE SAY THAT OUT LOUD?*
Ash started walking to his room
Everyone else except Cerise and Ren did too
Ren sighed
“Ash and Serena dating might be problematic”
Cerise chuckled
“Don’t worry”
Chrysa sighed
“I almost didn’t think they were dating until Ren told me”
Ash ignored them
*WORST PEOPLE EVER*
[At the Crown Tundra]
Ash sighed
“The sensor is sensing the same number the lab was sensing”
Goh was shivering
“How are you not cold”
Ash ignored him
“So basically my hypothesis is correct, this was a fad, but we need some more research for the lab”
The sensor started beeping
“Nope, it’s wrong”
Serena sighed
“Dangerous enough for you?”
“NOPE!”
The Professor sighed over the Rotom Phone
“So, there might be an Ultra Beast here?”
Ash sighed back
“Yes”
Serena was shivering
“It’s so cold”
Chloe regretted not bringing her beanie
“Yeah, this place is cold, Ash how are you not COLD?”
Ash sighed
“Skill-”
Serena threw a snowball at him
“Ash that’s the third time”
Ash dusted the snow off his face
“Issue”
“ASH!”
Cerise was on journey of sighs
“This is stupid, Ash just please focus”
Ash yelled
“BUT I AM FOCUSING!”
Serena laughed
“Doesn’t look like it”
Goh shivered
“MY FEET!”
Chloe couldn’t feel her hands
“My hands? MY HANDS? ARE MY HANDS GHOSTS? I CAN’T FEEL THEM?”
Ash facepalmed
“Should’ve worn better gear”
Serena tried not to smile
Chloe yelled
“I COULDN'T FIND GLOVES WITH FINGER SLEEVES!”
“Not my pr-”
Serena stared into his soul
Ash instead grabbed one of his spares and gave it Chloe
“Catch”
Chloe caught it
“...Thanks?”
Goh laughed
*THE GIRLFRIEND GLARE, LOL*
Ash furrowed his eyebrows
“Why ‘you laughing?”
Ash immediately realized
“Nevermind”
Ash sighed
*This has to be the ‘teasing’ stage of the relationship Mom told me about*
Cerise sighed
*He just gave Chloe spare gloves because Serena stared at him… It’s fine*
Ash sighed
“So what now?”
Goh stared at him
“You have a spare scarf?”
“No, but if you want ear muffs, ask me”
“I’m wearing a beanie”
Ash sighed
*Should’ve worn the ear muffs*
Serena was a Tamato berry but no one could notice cause um………. Snow
Ash noticed her face was red
“Serena are you okay?”
Serena shivered
“It’s cold”
Pikachu came back running
“Pipika!”
Ash turned
“Did you find anything buddy?”
“Pika”

Ash sighed
“This is… weird, there are no unusual sightings anywhere!”
Goh was shivering
“I need to be warm!”
Ash cracked his knuckles
“Well… Everyone brought camping supplies, right?”
Everyone replied in unison
“Yes”
Ash bent down to Pikachu
“Did you notice any caves nearby?”
“Pi pika!”
(Yes, just nearby!)
Cerise furrowed his eyebrows
“Your setting camp?”
Everyone replied
“YES”
Ash stretched
“Everyone’s freezing, except me for some reason”
Chloe sighed
“You’re wearing PROPER winter gear, the only reason I can walk is I’m wearing boots and you gave me gloves”
Ash sighed
“Let’s carry on and uh.. Yes professor I will cut the call because we can’t risk our Rotom Phones shutting down”
Cerise cut the phone call
Ash took leadership
“Now, I have to tell you some things before we reach the cave and after, first of all no whining about your Rotom-Phones, Goh I’m looking at you, your always on it, and second try to use some tactics to not freeze”
Goh turned to his pockets to search for it
Ash stared at him
“What did I say?”
Serena smiled
Ash told Pikachu
“Lead the way, and also stay together, no one should be about 5 metres away from the group”
Everyone huddled together
Pikachu started treading
Everyone else did together
[At the cave]
Ash took a step
“We reached”
Serena took out a Pokeball
“Go, Delphox!”
Delphox appeared
“Phox!”
Serena looked at Delphox
“Delphox I need you to keep everyone warm”
“Phox!”
Goh started jumping
“I CAN F-”
Ash stopped him
“Don’t yell, the Pokemon could get alerted and probably be agitated”
Serena sighed
“Delphox won’t be effective for long though”
Ash stretched
“I’ll gather some firewood, anyone wanna come?”
“Nope”
Pikachu offered
“Pika”
(Me)
Ash brought out a Pokeball
He sent out the Pokemon
Greninja appeared
Ash closed his eyes
*Greninja, can you find firewood?”
*Ninja*
(Sure)
Greninja head out
Ash head out himself
“Alright be back as soon possible”
Chloe sighed to Serena
“How does he talk with the Pokemon now?”
Serena smiled
“He has a special connection with Greninja”
Chloe furrowed her eyebrows
“Special?”
She smiled once again
“You literally saw Greninja transform”
[10 Minutes later]
Ash came back with his hands full with firewood
Chloe stared
“So we have enough firewood for the night?”
Ash set the wood down
“Yes”
He cracked his knuckles
“We need to choose a location for everything, it needs to be optimal and not problematic”
Greninja slid in
“Ninja!”

He had bunch of firewood with him
Chloe stared
“That’s not just enough for the night, that’s enough for a few days”
Ash started shivering
“Alright I see why you guys are cold”
Ash gathered all the firewood needed for the campfire
“So I’ll make the fire”
Serena pushed Ash aside
“Delphox can do it, there’s no need to be hard on yourself”
Delphox sent out a flame through her wand
“Phox!”
The campfire started up
Goh came closer
“Great!”
Greninja carried some logs as seats for them
And put them down
Ash took out Greninja’s pokeball
“Return”
Goh ran to sit down
“Best thing ever”
Ash sighed
“So, I kinda packed a power bank…”
Goh looked at him
“What?”
“I packed a power bank”
Ash rummaged through his bag
And pulled out a power bank
“This is full charge, It can charge our Rotom-Phones combined twice to full power from zero percent”
Goh turned
“I WAS WORRYING ABOUT POWER FOR NOTHING?”
Ash stared at him
“The Rotom-Phone will be cold!”
Serena sighed
“I had to get my phone repaired once when I went to Mount Coronet in Sinnoh”
Goh came closer
“I want the story!”
Ash smiled
*Classic campfire stories*
Serena loosened her shoulders
“So basically I went to Mount Coronet to explore a little, the Phone started drain fast, I thought nothing of it”
Goh paid attention
“Okay”
“Then it started glitching”
The campfire crackled
“Like?”
“Apps closing, Screen turning off, et cetera, et cetera, and until I went back down to HeartHome City, it was dead and needed repair”
The campfire crackled again
Ash leaned closer the campfire
“Was it expensive?”
“Very”
“Ouch”
Goh kept his Rotom Phone in his bag
Ash smiled
“Good”
Chloe laughed
“Well I don’t how much time we might stay here”
Ash grinned
“I’m prepared! I even brought a razor and shaving cream!”
Serena smiled
*I mean I can see facial hair*
Goh stretched
“This is nice, relaxing near the campfire”
Chloe sighed
“In the coldest place known to the human species”
Goh’s stomach rumbled
“I’m kinda hungry though”
Ash reached for his bag
“Great I got food”
Goh reached for his
“Like?”
“S’mores, cereal, Milk powder, Ice in a portable mini fridge which we melt into water, bread”
Ash brought out his bag of marshmallows and chocolate
“Well grab some marshmallows and chocolate”
Chloe sighed
“Why do you have a mini fridge”
Ash laughed
“So basically, I have the cold things in there, and also ice”
Chloe furrowed her eyebrows
“Ice?”
Ash smirked
“We need water, we can’t just eat the water here, so I kept Ice in the cooler”
Goh sighed in relief
“Thank Arceus you thought of that”
Serena smiled
“I remember Ash wasn’t THAT prepared when we went to snowbelle”
Ash scratched his head
“Well we had cabins nearby to stay in, here I don’t even know”
Goh reached for his Rotom-Phone
Ash stared at him
“Don’t”
Goh didn’t stop
Ash stared back
“Goh, hand me the Phone”
“Wha?”
“GIVE IT TO ME”
Goh handed his phone over
“Fine”
Ash opened his bag to reveal a phone lock-case
“I’ll just put it in here”
Ash put the phone in and locked it
And put the case back in his bag
Goh was frustrated
“WHY DID YOU BRING A PHONE CASE WITH A LOCK?”
Ash smirked
“I knew you weren’t gonna listen to me”
Chloe laughed
“HE HAS CONT-”
Ash shushed her
“Shhh, remember what I said about agitated Pokemon?”
Chloe toned her voice down
“He has contingency plans for you…”
Serena laughed
“He had contingency plans for Clemont.. Somehow, only Arceus knows how he did it”
Ash sighed
“It’s getting dark out, did you guys bring tents”
Everyone rushed to check their bags
“Yes”
Serena sighed
“No”
Ash sighed
“I knew AT LEAST one person wouldn’t bring a tent so I brought a spare”
Chloe facepalmed
“HO- how many contingency plans do you have”
Ash sighed
“I have a lot of concerns, especially with Goh”
Ash grabbed his spare tent and gave it Serena
“Here”
Chloe furrowed her eyebrows
“Why is it pink?”
Ash scratched the back of his head and smiled
“I kinda thought you might forget it”
Chloe facepalmed
“Even if this is my first time on an expedition, I would pack a tent, when you told me camping supplies”
Chloe realized
“You- you packed it for Serena, I knew it!”
Ash covered his face
*Yes, but I would like to say no!*
Serena turned into a Tamato Berry
*I MEAN LIKE THE COLOR!*
Goh sighed
“Anything is possible with Ash, Chloe, next you’ll find out he brought a special pokemon to battle Regice”
Ash smiled
*I did for other Ice-type pokemon*
“No”
Chloe sighed
“What can I even say?”
Pikachu woke up from sleeping near the campfire
“Pika”
(Morning!)
Ash smiled
“It’s still night Pikachu”
Pikachu curled up again
“Pika”
(Night)
Ash smiled at the sight of the yellow mouse
Serena yawned
“I’m sleepy”
Delphox was already sleeping
Ash took his tent and set it up
Serena went inside her tent
“Night everyone”
Ash, Chloe and Goh went in theirs
“Night!”
Ash went out and picked up Pikachu
“Pipikakaka”
(ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ)
He put him in the the tent
Ash opened his sleeping bag
And went inside
