Hello, hello! This isn't my first time on this forum, given that I have an abandoned account swimming somewhere around here, but I decided to come back with a fresh start, so here I am!

I originally discovered this forum from the PMD: WU Discord server, but never had the guts to say much before because, well, it was intimidating. So many good writers here, I nearly got overwhelmed from the get-go, haha! But I'm ready to start on the fanfictions here, be it writing my own or reviewing others' works like I do on FFN or AO3., and I'm more than ready to be entertained by the numerous good works here :)

I'm not sucking up to anyone here, I promise

Anyways, my username here is the way it is because I wanted to match it up with the ones on FFN and AO3, therefore it has no significance regarding Pokemon, but feel free to call me Midnight or any variation of it! I will be lurking for a bit, maybe leave a review or two, but I definitely will be eventually posting my own work here. It will most definitely be PMD, considering where I'm from, heh. It'll be nerve-wrecking, but I'm ready for the challenge :wigglyyell:

On a last note, hello to anyone from PMD: WU (again)!

@euouae Glad to see you here on the board! Best of luck with your fics, but also feel free to lurk as long as you like. (And post more music to the Discord!) We'll be here whenever you feel like you want to join in. ;)

@MidnightMutetation Welcome back! Glad you decided to take another crack at things, and I hope you enjoy your reading. Looking forward to your own story when you decide to post it, too!

Welcome to the forums! If you came over from Writer's United, I imagine you're interested in Blacklight... hopefully you find all the information for that okay! I look forward to reading your stories whenever you decide to post them.

Glad to have you here, and feel free to reach out if you need help with anything!

Hiya, I'm cynsh as the name suggests. Like others above me, I heard about this place through the PMD:WU discord 😅 but the project I'm currently working on is more pokecentric than anything. I figured it would be good to broaden my horizons and hear from some different authors that I'm used to, hence I'm here! The story is still in its early stages, so I'll probably keep quiet until I have something ready to publish, but from there I'll be sure to leave reviews and participate in stuff around the place. :)

Hey, welcome! Very curious to hear more about your pokécentric story... I imagine there'll be more talk when people seriously start writing for Blacklight. Nice to meet you, and I hope you have a good time on Thousand Roads!

Hello everyone. The name's Flaze, it's nice to meet you. I actually joined here because I was trying to get back into writing and I saw that a few of my friends from Bulbagarden are active here, I've heard a few good things about this site so I wanted to give it a shot.

Nice to meet ya all.

I'm love (deerest_love on AO3 and deerestlove on FFN). I'm only into pokemon because of the Mystery Dungeon series, and don't really have any interest in the mainline stuff. I'm interested in the themes of ego death, hiveminds, utopias, and environmentalism, and I like to incorporate real-world ecology into my stories. I'm very fond of animals and nature preserves. I like music with lots of reverb and distortion.

My favorite PMD fics are Gifts of the Mountain, Scenes from Childhood, Places We Call Home, and Instruments of Creation.

@Flaze

Welcome! Glad to see you here. Hope your foray back into writing goes well and you enjoy the forums! I see you've already posted one story here... I'll have to check it out!

@love

Nice to meet you! If you're looking for PMD stories, you'll certainly have plenty to choose from here, heh. If you like PMD and you like hiveminds, you might enjoy "The Tesselation Solution," a one-shot about an explorer visiting a very strange town. I've heard of a couple of your favorites, but Gifts of the Mountain and Scenes from Childhood are new to me! Do you have links to those?

In any case, welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your time here.

I will check out The Tesselation Solution, and in the meantime, here are links to Scenes from Childhood and Gifts of the Mountain. The former is economical and clever in its characterization and symbolism, while the latter conveys its atmosphere well with good prose.

Ah, thanks for the links! And of course it turns out "Gifts of the Mountain" is something I've read and even reviewed, and I didn't recognize the title for some reason. Great fic, for sure. "Scenes from Childhood" is definitely new to me, though, so I'll have to check it out!

Hi everyone!

Some of you may recognize me from various places, but I'm AmericanPi! You can call me Michelle or Pi. I'm a 23-year-old depressed peanut just trying to get by and figure out the right balance between work and fun, but recently I've been very interested in the idea of participating in gift exchanges for the holiday season of 2020. I've participated in a few throughout the years and my experiences have been mostly positive, and I know that this particular forum hasn't announced one for the year yet, which is why I'm wondering if it's in the cards. It would honestly be nice to get started on gift exchanges during September because I do hope to participate in Inktober and NaNoWriMo this year.

Art, music, and writing are my passions, and my dream is to be a content creator. I'm an English major, I love English as a subject, and I may in the future teach it as a professor or librarian. I have a lot of hobbies, interests, and fandoms, including but not limited to purple, Romanticism, Flying-type Pokémon, Homestuck, and French things (mostly unironically).

I'm not sure how active I'll be on this site because my autism, anxiety, and other mental health issues often cause me to lose focus on things, but I hope to have a bit of fun while I'm here.

Happy to meet everyone!

Good to see you! No worries if you aren't able to participate much; the site'll always be here if you feel like you want to join in, even if you have to take breaks now and again. One way or another I hope you enjoy hanging out here and your mental health stays solid as much as possible.

We don't have a holiday exchange planned for this year, unfortunately. I've been interested in doing some kind of an exchange, but it wouldn't necessarily be during the usual holiday season, since there are a lot of other fandom events running at that time and we may be running another December review event this year! The timing is still a bit up in the air. If you (or anyone else) has any suggestions for when might be the best time to host one or any thoughts about what you'd like to see from that kind of event, please do let me know!

Welcome to the forums, and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Yo, welcome to the forums! Great to see another OC journeyfic here on the forums; always a favorite story form of mine. If you love talking OCs, RPing, and writing, I think you'll find plenty of friends here. And it's super cool that your husband's also into pokefic!

Welcome again, and let me know if you need anything! I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hey all! I’m Queen, I’ve been following Pokémon since I was little but only really got into the fandom recently. Sadly the only Pokémon games I’ve ever owned are Pokémon Sword and Lets Go Eevee, along with a few mobile games. My favorite was probably Emerald though. I played it with my cousins quite a bit ^^

My likes include writing and reading, all sorts of arts and crafts, biology and history. I love swimming and exploring.

If I were a Pokémon trainer I’d be a fairy specialist, but I think it’d be cooler to be a Coordinator or Professor.

Edit: I am a FanFiction writer, but I tend to stick to oneshots as I have trouble finishing chapter fics *laughs nervously*

Welcome to Thousand Roads! Emerald lovers represent--my favorite game as well. (Although it's pretty painful for me to play anything without the good old physical/special split these days!) Sounds like you've got a lot of fun hobbies, and I think you'll fit in just fine around here. Welcome again, and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Hi everyone!
I go by (rainfall) or variations thereof. I like the basic sciences and some social sciences, certain subsets of music (classical, R&B, pop, edm), and I claim to like learning about general ideas and about how things work on a high level (though my knowledge is superficial and likely sprinkled with errors). I’m in my late twenties, live in the US, and nominally inhabit the STEM space. I don't play the piano anymore, but I'm still hitting the major scales. It's rare now, but I like to move my body crazily to energetic music.

Out of the variety of fictional spaces, Pokemon is certainly one I find myself swimming in a lot. I have a penchant for useless trivia from the core games, and some of my favorite aspects about the games are the habitats of pokemon, the weather and seasons, and the maps and landscapes.

Thousand Roads seems like a healthy and cosy community! I do see several familiar faces. I’m not creative, I’m not a fic writer or a writer in general, and I actually don’t read enough, either, but I do enjoy certain world spaces. I don’t anticipate being very active; on the other hand, I can’t seem to stop talking at times (like right now!). Hope you won’t mind a not-writer and another person that might keep to the background.
Good to meet you all! : )

Hey, welcome! Whether or not you end up being very active, we're happy to have you around. And if you ever want to talk something non-writing or even non-pokémon-related, feel free to start up a discussion! We have a lot of people interested in music and science-y topics for sure, and I'm sure people would enjoy nerding out about the geography and environment of the pokémon world. One way or another, I hope you enjoy your stay!
