Interdimensional Jailbreak - An RP Campaign

Hey all! After coming up with a plot in the Character Groupchat thread by IFBench (completely on accident), I have decided to create a seperate thread for that plot specifically! If you want the whole story, you can look through the Character Groupchat thread for the whole shtick. But if you don't wanna read all that, I'll give you the Cliffnotes version.

SUMMARY: After joining a mysterious group chat, Blitz (a shiny Torchic, IE my character in the campaign) recieves a message from someone named Giovanni, who has a request. To free his son who is being held captive by the mythical Pokémon, Celebi. Sure, why not? But it's never that simple. Blitz is stuck in prison, which, y'know, kind of makes it difficult to waltz out the front door. If he's gonna pull this off, he'll need help. He needs your help.

BASIC RULES: If you want to hop in, just come up with a basic Pokémon character sheet and post that alongside your RP response. All you really need to include is a name, the Pokémon species, the age of your character, and anything else that might be useful for others to know. If you want to include other character traits, you are most certainly welcome to, but you are not required to do so in order to contribute. As for what you can or can't say while RPing, if you follow basic RP/human editquite, then you should be fine. I trust that you guys know what is or isn't off-limits.

Finally, if any of you have any questions or comments, free free to respond with them here, or shoot me a PM, whichever one is most convenient!

NAME: Blitz
POKEMON SPECIES: Torchic (Shiny)
AGE: 18 (In "human" years, at least. So he just became an adult)
ANYTHING ELSE?: Reckless, yearns for adventure, a natural fighter (even though he sometimes fights Pokémon that he can't handle), stubborn in a good way ("I won't quit," vs. "You can't tell me what to do")

Blitz's heartrate quickened as he reread the message. It almost seemed like a prank. A joke. There was no way this was real! A human, out of all things, was stuck in an interdimensional prison? Guarded by Celebi, no less? It sounded like something from a children's book!

But if he was being serious, this was an opportunity that you couldn't pass up. Rescuing a human from the gods themself? Who says no to that? After a pause as his hands hovered over the keyboard, he finally figured out how to respond.

CursedChicken: I'm in. How can I help?

After a few moments, the duo landed into the forest. The sun was rising, which was particularly beautiful. Probably would've been better if the world wasn't doing cartwheels around Blitz. "Ughh, I'll never get used to that..." he groaned, trying not to fall over.

NAME: Chi'ten (or Chitin, either works)
Gender: Male
POKEMON SPECIES: Corvisquire
Appearance: Relatively normal corviquire, with more pronounced plumage on the area that'd be considered his mask
AGE: 19 (young adult for his species)
Item: Purple cloak with spiked shoulder pads, tied together with a ribbon
ANYTHING ELSE?: due to their parents, they know moves that aren't native to the corviknight line, (mainly ghost type ones) ambitious troublemaker, loves anything edgy. has dreams of one day becoming the greatest Outlaw of all time!

Outside the cave can be heard a repeating sound, *thud* *thud* *thud* increasing in volume till the surface breaks revealing a dusty corvisquire emerging from the pit "HA! here i am- wait where am i?" looking around confused "ookay, this isnt hollowwood museum." he grunts to himself.

One might wonder what Tango might think of his odd band of mon. Perhaps he would call it the Bird Brigade, but with the addition of others such as Shade, it would likely need a modification of sorts. Then in the twinkle of an eye, one might conclude that it came to Tango and that this name he might have created perhaps was the 'Bird Brigade and Friends'.

(OoC Comment: This line is pure gold, it’s actually amazing. I love it.)

With the look in his eye, Blitz thought that Tango might have been trying to tell him something. It could've been ANYTHING. But at the very least, Tango seemed to be enjoying himself with all of his bird friends here.

“Wanted to break into some place, maybe get a cursed sword to throw at people"

Blitz grinned with the expression of an adventerous spirit. "That kind of sounds like a fun time."

Shade stared at him blankly. "You're nuts," she sighed.

Blitz gave her a fake exasperated look. "You didn't already know this??" he pretended to be completely dumbfounded.

In response, Shade just rolled her eyes.

Looking back at Tango, he remarks: "Odd... least they're not eating me or something."

Blitz actually chuckled at that. "Nah, I don't think he'd eat you. He'd help me break out of jail, but not eat you."

Shade yelped and began scolding the Torchic. "You idiot! Why would you tell him that?!"

Blitz shrugged all nonchalant. "Oh come on, it's FINE. He JUST said he was planning on breaking into somewhere, what's the worst that could happen?" he waved his hand dismissively.

As it turns out, the 'worst that could happen' was the emergency alert system to kick on and ring through the next ten miles. "Code Silver! Please be on the lookout for a shiny Torchic and a Doduo. They recently escaped Seikatsu Jail, and are TRAITORS of the Renegade. A 10,000 Poké reward will be given to anyone who finds these two Pokémon, dead or alive. This is NOT a drill." The robotic voice droned, and with a CLICK, there was silence.

After a long pause, Shade spoke up. "I think THAT'S the worst that could happen," she deadpanned.
