Chi'ten exhales a tired sigh "well, uh alright, good luck on your guy's.... thing. im just gonna head bac-" as the tunnel he had just made collapses as he was about to return to the pit, curses!!! ".....Ah"

"Uhm, can i join you guys for a bit actually?.... I dont think id get anywhere this lost" looking back at the group, defeated

Blitz looked back at the group, and as expected, Shade was not keen on the idea. She looked like she was ready to tear the bird apart. Blitz gave her a glance that silently said “Trust me!” Shade looked at Blitz for a second, then eventually relented.

Blitz smiled. “Sure! Welcome aboard!” Blitz put on the expression that Shade had seen a billion times, one that said he was curious. “Sooo… how did you get this lost? What were you trying to do?” Blitz asked.

 

[Tango]

Tango, being the bird he was, continued feasting upon the worms. Perhaps he wondered why the other two birds were not joining him. After all, a freshly dug pit writhing with worms was a rare find indeed, even if it has already collapsed.

One could imagine he assumed the others must not have been hungry. No Doduo from his world could resist indulging in such a unappealing compulsion, after all.

At times like this, Tango would enjoy separating his mind from the task at hand. Worms must be devoured and yet to focus on them was most unpleasant.

One might wonder what Tango might think of his odd band of mon. Perhaps he would call it the Bird Brigade, but with the addition of others such as Shade, it would likely need a modification of sorts. Then in the twinkle of an eye, one might conclude that it came to Tango and that this name he might have created perhaps was the 'Bird Brigade and Friends'.

Were they all friends? Tango might conclude that at least some were, and at the very least, they were not enemies. And that, it seemed, would be enough for Tango.

At times like these, one might wonder if other birds did share on some level the psychic link shared by Doduo heads. Perhaps such a link could even impart the name he might pick? If such a thing we're to occur, it would likely be on the fringe of awareness. Perhaps others would even interpret the name as one they themselves invented?

Blitz smiled. “Sure! Welcome aboard!” Blitz put on the expression that Shade had seen a billion times, one that said he was curious. “Sooo… how did you get this lost? What were you trying to do?” Blitz asked.

"Eh, guess i was way off in my directions, ugh least i packed my trail mix" as he continued sifting though his cloak. he might be stuck in the middle of nowhere for a while but at least he has food for a bit he figures, "Wanted to break into some place, maybe get a cursed sword to throw at people"

With the look in his eye, Blitz thought that Tango might have been trying to tell him something. It could've been ANYTHING. But at the very least, Tango seemed to be enjoying himself with all of his bird friends here.

Blitz grinned with the expression of an adventerous spirit. "That kind of sounds like a fun time."

Shade stared at him blankly. "You're nuts," she sighed.

Blitz gave her a fake exasperated look. "You didn't already know this??" he pretended to be completely dumbfounded.

In response, Shade just rolled her eyes.

Looking back at Tango, he remarks: "Odd... least they're not eating me or something."

Blitz actually chuckled at that. "Nah, I don't think he'd eat you. He'd help me break out of jail, but not eat you."

Shade yelped and began scolding the Torchic. "You idiot! Why would you tell him that?!"

Blitz shrugged all nonchalant. "Oh come on, it's FINE. He JUST said he was planning on breaking into somewhere, what's the worst that could happen?" he waved his hand dismissively.

As it turns out, the 'worst that could happen' was the emergency alert system to kick on and ring through the next ten miles. "Code Silver! Please be on the lookout for a shiny Torchic and a Doduo. They recently escaped Seikatsu Jail, and are TRAITORS of the Renegade. A 10,000 Poké reward will be given to anyone who finds these two Pokémon, dead or alive. This is NOT a drill." The robotic voice droned, and with a CLICK, there was silence.

After a long pause, Shade spoke up. "I think THAT'S the worst that could happen," she deadpanned.

A nearby voice nervously prepped up: "Did someone around here say disguise?!"

Tango abruptly stopped eating a worm, letting the other half fall to the ground and turned towards the direction of the voice.

It would seem the compulsion of eating nasty worms could be, on occasion, overridden.

Perhaps Tango wondered who this new voice would belong to. One might even suppose that Tango found the concept of a disguise intriguing.

But speculations aside, one thing was clear: this newcomer had Tango's attention.
