I heard tell there were other instruments, too, one of the graveler with a tambourine said. Wouldn't surprise me. I don't think there's anything really special about this place.

Nori's eyes light right up at the Graveler's words. "Really? That's really promising!" He makes a small double fist pump. He didn't see a reason why they'd lie about that to the Graveler! He has to wonder though, why was that Salazzle so upset about revealing that? Did her xenophobia run that deep? Though, another time, he would've felt compelled to argue about it just because. Not anymore. "Everyone is special in their own way. Here, there, anywhere," he says to the Graveler.

If you think going to the garden will help, then... Then I guess I can try again, Charcadet whispered. He was still teary, but not openly crying; at least no one was making fun of his playing. But people already went there, and things were weird. I don't think anybody there would want us to come back.

"Then let's go," he says with a contented nod to the Charcadet. "We came from over that way. Things were a little weird, yeah. Talked to a few of the Pokemon there. But they were nervous and worried about the situation, not uninviting. I think a little music will brighten their days, if nothing else!"

Mel met the kid's eyes for a moment. and then looked away. The headphones were pretty incriminating. He'd meant to turn human again before they regrouped, but that chance had come and gone while he was distracted talking to Ichiro. Oh well. Kid had figured out the jist of it anyway. Probably ought to break the ice so the kid didn't think they hated her. Telepathically. Didn't need to make a public performance of it.

"Yeah, you got me. I don't make a habit of tipping my hand to humans. But we got in a fight back in the woods and I couldn't let this sorry lot bite it just to stay in character. You made a good show of digging into me earlier, be proud of that much."

She should apologize, but her pride still imposed

Glad to hear you're not too upset about me sticking my nose into your privacy. Really sorry if I'd made you uncomfortable by comparing you with a Ditto, I didn't know they were such a heated topic for you.
