It's time once again to choose the themes for this year's exquisite corpses! Please vote for as many of the options above as you'd like--most are self-explanatory, but a few have additional info below! We'll be looking to pick three or four themes out of this group, depending on the number of people able to help out with running the event.
In addition to voting for themes, please post in this thread if you're interested in running a corpse this year! This basically entails distributing prompts to writers, following up to get their entries, and then putting together the complete corpse once every writer's taken their turn! You won't be able to write for a corpse that you're running, but depending on interest we may run multiple iterations of each themes, so you might still get the opportunity to participate
Never heard of an Exquisite Corpse? It's a collaborative writing game where authors continue a story based only on the last couple of sentences of the previous writer's scene!
Here are some of the more unusual themes offered on the poll:
everything!Ash: Write a fic about Ash where each author gets to add a modifier to his character! (e.g. aura!Ash, smart!Ash, evil!Rocket!Ash, etc.) In addition to your two-sentence prompt, you'll get to know what modifiers the previous authors have added, as well as having the option to add your own!
Fanregion/Fakemon: Show off your creativity by showing us all your lovely fanregion and the fakemon that live there! No relation to the fanregion and fakemon appearing just a few paragraphs before...
Obscure Spinoffs: A corpse centered around Pokémon games not often used as the basis of fanfic--Ranger, Conquest, Trozei, and more!
Oops All Quag: Anything goes, but all characters must be quagsire!
Reverse: Instead of starting with the first scene of the corpse and continuing to the last, the first writer of this corpse would instead write the last scene. Instead of sending the last two sentences to the next writer, the first two sentences of the scene would be sent along. Instead of each writer deciding what happens next, they'd be trying to figure out how the heck the story ended up in the crazy place it would be at the opening of the next scene!
The poll will stay open for one week. After that, look forward to sign-ups beginning soon!
