"Well, all right!" Pansit said, tail flicking. "Let's start with the basic ones, why don't we? Tell me a little about yourself! Who is Cynthian... what does she do back home?" The Flygon's eyes were practically sparkling with interest.

 

[Adamhuarts]

"What does she... that's an awkward question to answer," Cynthian said, tapping her cheek with a laugh. "I'd thought of myself as a boy for the past decade or so, up until a couple weeks back..."

Perhaps realizing she was getting off track, Cynthian cleared her voice and answered the question proper. "Back home I'm just a Roselia with unusual flower colors spending most of the day in my mother's garden. Sometimes I dabbled in books I'd managed to get my hands on in Treasure Town, and I've tried a few other things here and there. At the end of the day though I found comfort surrounding myself with the green."

 

[Namohysip]

"Surrounding yourself in green," Pansit said, nodding. "So, your element? What did you usually surround yourself with, specifically? Flowers, other plants, Grass Pokemon?" She scribbled notes down faster than any other reporter--there was no telling just what she was actually writing. Maybe it was the article itself, for all Cynthian knew...

 

[Adamhuarts]

"I used to be too nervous around others, so I only surrounded myself with plants and flowers," Cynthian said, prodding at her golden collar. "My mom handled the customers at the front desk. Oh, did I mention the garden doubled as a flower shop too?"

 

[Namohysip]

Pansit nodded. "That's too bad... Maybe a little bit of socializing can help! Maybe from flowers to some small ferals, and then people! Actually, speaking of that... Do you see anything in particular for your future?" Pansit went on. "At home, I mean, when you return."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"I don't know... that depends on how much I remember about the time I've spent here on Cibus," Cynthian said with a bittersweet smile. She rummaged her bag and brought out a plush doll of a Mew, which was Sword no doubt.

"If I'm lucky enough to remember enough, I think I might spend some more time on this hobby I picked up from Leg. It's a lot of fun to build something from just mundane tools and put it together into something... that's more than that." Cynthian smiled nervously and tilted her head. "Does that make sense? I don't know if I'm sounding silly."

 

[Namohysip]

"Time to do hobbies is nice. Has that been helping you calm your nerves? After all, with all of the battles you've been doing against greater and greater foes, it must be difficult!" Pansit tilted her head. "What did you pick up from Leg?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"The love of the craft really. Leg helped me learn how to make these dolls and I've only started to get good at it. I don't want to toot my horn though. There's a lot I still need to learn." Cynthian put the doll back in her back and rested her arms on her knees. "It is calming. Weaving a needle in and out on a piece of fabric can get you swinging with the motions. You should try it. It's easy to get lost in the process."

 

[Namohysip]

"That does seem like a creative way to pass the time," Pansit said, nodding. "Though, speaking of time... The rumor is that all of you don't really have a lot of time on Cibus, do you? Assuming this 'Blacklight' can be taken care of quickly... you won't have much free time at all before your return. So, if you could bring anything home with you about this world... what would it be?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Ah, uh, hmm, there's too many things I'd love to bring back home with me if I could. I don't even know where to begin..." Cynthian tapped on her chin contemplatively.

"Out of everything else, I'd love to bring back the memories I've made here. I've met friends here, learned new things, and Cibus is all around a wondrous world. I wouldn't want to forget all about it when all of this is over."

 

[Namohysip]

"The memories," Pansit said with a wistful tone. "That's true. It's not certain whether you'll remember any of this when you go back, is it? Or at least, not remember for a long, long time... That's really too bad, isn't it?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"It really is yeah..." Cynthian lowered her gaze and sighed, then she looked at Pansit with firm eyes. "But even if I end up never remembering any of this, I think the time I've spent here is still worth it. So, I'll enjoy every moment of it and do as much good as I can while it lasts."

 

[Namohysip]

"That's the spirit!" Pansit grinned and nodded emphatically, and then she went back to sitting normally, though she did seem brighter. "I find it interesting, actually. Of all the members on Team Spectrum, there aren't many who want to bring their power back home with them--it's always their memories, or something more... sentimental. Why do you think that is?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"That's a good question. I think there could be a number of reasons why some of us might not want this powers to stick around even when we return, though I can't speak for everyone." Cynthian raised her bouquets in front of her, pale and dark.

"The shadows amplify one's dark emotions, the ones a mon wouldn't want others to see. The radiance unfurls a person's inhibitions and blooms their sense of ego. Blacklight is... it's a venomous power." She made eye contact with Pansit and rested her bouquet on the bench. "Every power comes with a price, and one needs to be prepared for that responsibility.

"I'll admit I don't want to lose these powers when everything is said and done, but I can certainly live without them."

 

[Namohysip]

"You've been doing a good job at keeping them handled," Pansit said. "Maybe out of necessity. Is there anyone that you think has been handling their powers the best, out of everyone?" she tilted her head. "It's not often that we get to hear about the success stories."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"I don't know about the best, but Cabot is who I'd pick honestly," Cynthian replied after giving it a bit of thought. "Ever since very early on, I don't think I've ever seen him lose control of even hear about him doing so either."

"He's pretty solid in the gnoggin basically. Though don't take my word for it. I'm not always up to date with what everyone on our team does. Some of the crew are more elusive than others."

 

[Namohysip]

Pansit nodded. "It seems that the Shadows manifest in odd ways depending on who it is. Some they don't manifest at all. Others, it's very pronounced, and they must truly work for it to stay stable. Are there any who seem to have great Blacklight, but harness it anyway?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Astrid. If I had a flower for every time she exploded... Her strategy does produce results, that I can admit." Cynthian chuckled. "I don't envy her one bit though."

 

[Namohysip]

"I heard about that," hummed Pansit, nodding. Her eyes seemed to glimmer with ideas. "Well! Thank you for telling me a little about your team, Cynthian. Was there anything else that stood about them? Any cool strategies? Relationships? Is there anyone you might have a crush on?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Anyone I have a crush on? Well..." Cynthian's cheeks reddened slightly and she beamed a smile. "Icetales and I are pretty close. That's all I can say really."
