"A fine welcome," Diyem said with a snarl, leaning even harder onto his hammer. "I can't... fight like this..."
"H-hey!" The Creation Trio landed next to them, and it was Giratina doing the talking for now. "We need some help! Um, you guys aren't too beat up, right? Our attacks are barely working on him! Only a little! We--we have no idea what to do!"
"What have you tried?" Maple said, her fist trembling. "Joule... Joule, please, what are you doing?"
"Let's try to fly close, "Owen said. "We have to try something!"
Maple carved a second portal. "Of course. We can try. Truffle, prepare a platform."
"Of course."
Truffle stepped through the portal, and now that they were closer--and with a platform under them made of golden light and sigils--they saw that Joule was not alone. Behind Joule was Giovanni and Mewtwo, both of them looking like they were still reeling from the last fight, but trying not to show it.
"Oh, how kind of you to arrive," Giovanni said, his voice amplified by Psychic force despite how far away they were.
"You can't take us any closer?" Maple asked Truffle.
"The distortion is... too strong," Truffle said, wincing.
"Joule," Giovanni said casually, pointing toward them. "Before you destroy Destiny Village... why don't you take them out first? It should be a trivial matter."
Joule had been firing beams of Blacklight down to Destiny Village the whole time, yet it didn't look like he was able to hit anyone but Legends, which were in full view and trying to strike. Those that were hit had to quickly fly down to regroup.
But Joule did not fire. He stared at them, his black-and-white eyes flickering rapidly. Giovanni's smirk wavered and he glanced at Joule. "Well?"
Blacklight Mewtwo, still stoic, also glanced Joule's way.
"Joule..." Maple said desperately.
But Joule did not respond to this, either.
