    Jynn thought about it sometimes.

About how odd she was. About how she couldn't remember anything but her name. About how she wasn't even... human.

She looked normal. A plain girl, not too tall, not too short and not even a particularly pretty face either. Her eyes were a boring brown, her skin fair and delicate. The only thing that she could really say that stood out was her short brown hair, brushed into a cute little bob.

Really, Jynn Cleef was like any normal teen girl around.

Her eyes trailed down her arms and onto her hands. Beneath the surface, she could feel it, feel the ripple under her skin. One thought. One blink. And she knew, she could make it all change.

Jynn tore her head away from her thoughts and looked to the sky. The moon was luscious and full tonight. A bright beautiful orb surrounded by millions of tiny sparkles. The night sky was always a wonderful sight, the vastness of it all made her feel like all her problems were one of those little sparkles. Could it be that she herself could be as whole as the moon one day?

Her smile dimmed just a bit as she pondered the question, propping her chin against a hand. Who or what exactly was she? Why was she here? Why didn't she remember anything? Why did she always have these weird dreams? Of a place that was dark and surrounded by thick and sludge-like fluid. Of a place that had people talking, murmuring things she could barely make out. Of a place where things constantly prickled and touched her, where the needles breached into the innermost of her parts, where everything and anything hu–

She broke away with a heavy inhale, moving along with rhythmic motions. Intake, outtake, inhale and exhale, her mind focused on breathing and only breathing, and her eyes trained on the beautiful sky above until her heart calmed and those nightmares faded.

With a deep sigh, Jynn shook her head. There was no point in dwelling into these thoughts. Dell wouldn't like it if she kept herself up.

She glanced to the side, her gaze landing on the sleeping Fennekin curled up a few inches away and she smiled, remembering the times he stayed by her side, overwhelmed by worry and fright.

Yeah, she should get some sleep.

Tomorrow was another day, and she didn't want to spend her night being lost in forgotten memories again.
