The Mastermind Continued
Giovanni continued to watch the proceedings from the comfort and safety of his quarters. There were people mingling, but there were also those sitting on their own. No matter. They welcomed all on this vessel, be they invitees or guests.

He sent a message to Surge. The coded message seemed nonsensical on a glance. “The Onix will unburrow with soaring Lunatone. Flyeball upon purple robes.” Its meaning would be clear to the former military man. He would emerge when the the moon was high in the sky. Also, monitor that priest. Giovanni was not expecting him to answer the invite.

A Disturbance
The priest in question was wandering for a bit. He was attending as Master Haruto’s representative. The temptation to partake in the battling had occurred, but he was content to wait until the right moment presented itself. He was in no rush, nor were his Pokemon. For the moment, investigation was in order. There were many things amiss about this situation.

One of them bumped right into him as she was trying to flee the scene of a troubling accident. “Young lady,” he inquired, sensing her nature without needing to witness her melting hand. “You are...different, are you not?”

Spots in Her Memories
Why? Why had she reacted like that? She didn't understand. It was just water, water that had sloshed itself against the window sure, but it was water all the same.

Then why? Why did she feel like something was constricting her when she saw it? Why did it feel like there were a dozen eyes staring at her behind the glass? Why did she feel afraid? Why did she feel like screaming?

Why couldn't she remember anything before she had awoken on that farmer's bed?

A Priest on This Bumpy Road
Wrapped up in her panicked state, she stumbled over, falling onto the ground with a surprised grunt.

She swivelled her head, wondering just what did she bump into. It was a person, she had bumped into a person while her hand was still oozing that horrid purple.

Quickly shielding her hand the wrong one, the disgusting one, the one that's not right from view, she picked herself up and bowed her head low, her mouth spewing out an incoherent mess as she apologized to the priest.

Different or Not?

Her body stood stiffly, her posture rigid as the priest spoke to her.

A dozen questions rang in her mind, the most prominent being: How does he know?

With her angle, she was very sure her disfigured hand was out of view. There was no way. No way, he could've–

"Different?" she heard herself stutter out, a nervous chuckle accompanying it as she took a moment to decide before doubling down. "I mean, everyone's different in their own right so it's not like I'm anything too special."

She put on her best smile albeit wobbly, and internally screamed at her hand to fix itself.

Seeing Through
The priest could only chuckle jovially. “It is quite all right,” he assures her. He does in fact catch sight of the wrong hand. “Yes, I suppose we are all different in our own ways. But across places, from different species, in different times, and even across other worlds, we share many similarities. But it is our acts that define us.” He flashes a comforting smile, as if to tell her, he was not going to judge. The next words are quiet so only she hears, “While I cannot fathom your aura, I can tell you are a good soul.”

A Question
After allowing a few moments for his words to sink in, he frowns and turns away lightly. “I had thought this cruise unusual. Your presence confirms it.” The priest considers this deeply. If there was anything like this in existence, he would have known about it. Moreover, he had been seeing many oddities. Some of this had become clear, but there were still many questions about it. “Might I ask something?” he humbly requests, bowing lightly. “What were the circumstances behind your arrival? My shrine which I am representing received an invitation, but I have a feeling yours is different.”

Calming Her Aura

Hearing the man's words assuaged her fears a little but she still didn't dare to show more of her wrong hand, nobody should ever see more than a glimpse of her foul self.

"Y-you can feel Auras?" she gulped, fearing just what exactly he was sensing. Crude had said her Aura was akin to watching hundreds upon hundreds of colors forcibly melding but never quite becoming one.

"It's like watching people shoot each other in a paintball fight... well more like a paintball war, I guess," he once said. "And everywhere there's just colors and colors and colors and colors–"

She hadn't quite caught the end of his rablings because the world around them had become a flying and colorful mess. It had taken a combined effort between her and her Fennekin to make him turn things back to normal.

Another World
Having the man return his attention back to her made her shrink back a little, not really used to having a person not running away after seeing her disfigured form.

She awkwardly gazed at the man bowing before her. She looked away, her proper hand fiddling with her hair as she answered, "Yo-you probably wouldn't believe me but I was brought here because Crude— he's like a... deity or something and he's kinda also my caretaker?" She shook her head. "I'm... n-not really good at dealing with people and he sent me here to bond more an-and... socialise..."

She chewed her lips and turned away with a flush. Why did she say that? That sounded like she was saying she had a problem, like she couldn't talk with people, like she wasn't normal enough to talk to people. He probably thought she was some kind of weirdo, someone that couldn't handle such a simple thing.
