“I think it's better this way." Polaris sighed. "Bahamut seemed to imply I wasn't a very good person originally. Not that he's a good person, either."

"Don't remember anything. Sorry." Though Polaris didn't seem remotely bothered by it.

"I'm not sure," Polaris replied. "Freedom doesn't even have a taste. It's not a food or anything. But you asked what I remembered, and that's the first thing that popped into my head." He paused. "Actually, it was the only thing."

Polaris scrunched his face up. “The only thing that comes to mind is… the taste of freedom.”

"Huh? Uhh..." Polaris blinked a few times. "I'm not really sure what you mean. I don't really remember too much aside from waking in the middle of that big storm Eien had conjured up. Bahamut was there... and nobody else. And I know I look like his dead son but, uh, eternafied. I don't think...

"It knows about Bahamut, though. And his son." Polaris poked its pom-poms together. "And there are all the people living within it that could try something funny." It sighed. "It's just... not very safe. For anyone, really."

“It could follow me through my portal.”

“Yeah.” Polaris shuddered. “Eternatus wants to break free of Bahamut’s dimension. When it does, it can go after every world in every universe. Cibus, Cabot’s world, the various Earths. Nowhere will be safe.”

Polaris winced. “Pleo… that’s not a good idea.” It shuffled uneasily. “I don’t know how much Cabot told you, but the dimension Bahamut comes from is not a nice one. If I opened a portal there…” His voice trailed off.

“I have no idea.” Polaris wiggled his pom-poms. “Maybe as I get older and stronger? Bahamut could rip portals that take him across the universe.”

"I mean, it's just very large. And empty. So, if you can't teleport it'd take too long to get anywhere," Polaris mused. "But cosmog can open up wormholes to cross the galaxy."

"Uh, no. It's just dark. And blue." Polaris chuckled. "Space is empty. A vacuum. The team needed Arceus' help because people with lungs can't survive in it." Though this Pleo was a familiar, so he didn't have lungs, right? "But you'd be able to survive. Because you're like me and Bahamut. No...

Polaris looked around. There were lots of brightly-colored rocks with various water-types swimming around them. Oh, there was even a milotic! Quite the rare sight. "It's kind of like space," Polaris said. "If space was, y'know, more colorful. And populous."

Polaris laughed. "I float all the time and I haven't been alive long enough to know what comfy feels like. You're good."

Polaris frowned. "Sorry, buddy, but you sound like the easily distracted type." It looked down at Pleo's feet. "Why not try grabbing me with your toes? They seem... flexible."

Polaris rubbed its head with a pom-pom. "Have you ever multitasked before? Like, patting your head while rubbing your belly... or hopping on one foot while chewing bubblegum?"

Polaris slipped right off and slowly floated down like a piece of tissue paper. "Aha ha... cosmog aren't very strong." It held a pom-pom in front of its face. "Also I think this thing is kinda see through?" It waved it around.

“Ah, yes! Holding.” Polaris floated to Pleo’s back. “That is totally a thing I can—” It awkwardly wrapped its pom-poms around one of Pleo’s wings. The grip wasn’t secure. “—do?”

"Oh, yes, I need all the help." Polaris bobbed its head. Which was also its body... and not confusing at all. "I'm Polaris." It extended a pom-pom. "Uh, well, we don't technically have hands, but we can still shake, right?"
