What the fuck. Wasn't Owen like four hundred fucking years old? "Hey. Already ate." He looked over the obstacle course. "What are you doing?"

Finally home. Dave had time for a bit of a nap before Mia got back, probably. He shut the front door, now modified for Owen's ridiculous size, and looked around for whether anyone was home.

"That's not really how... you know what, never mind." For all he knew, other universes did have physics that actually meant godlike powers running around free wreaking havoc unless somebody controlled them. What a dystopian fucking thought. Dave shook his head. "Anyway, I'm off. Enjoy this Cibus."

"That's not really how it works where I'm from, but sure. Better in the hands of somebody who's not using it to decide to blow up planets." Dave let out a long breath and stood up. "This has been great. See you in the fight." Only... He stopped. "What do you mean, a human would understand?"

Dave sighed, looking away. Wasn't like interrogating this poor guy back and forth was accomplishing much of anything. "Well, good for you. I'm not a big fan of anyone having god powers."
