“Hello, Nip.” Celeste took a deep breath. “I... Yes, we’ve got a new roommate now.” Very subtly, Celeste’s eyes began to glow. He hoped the lights in the room would cover up the fact that he’d turned on his Radiant Vision.

Celeste hesitated. Part of him wanted to be angry with Cabot, but the two of them were going to be roommates for... who knows how long. Either way, he’d already promised himself he would try not to hold what other people said while shadowed against them, and it would be remiss of him to go...

“That might explain where all the humans in my world went, then. The assumption in my world is that it must have been Arceus’ Judgment, but if humans have weapons as powerful as that... Well, that could also have been it. Makes more sense than Arceus’ involvement.”

Celeste had a funny feeling that Cuicatl was leaving out all the context that would make that not sound like nonsense. “Ah... I take it you want to get back to your reading?”
