"Oh there is more to it than that, isn't there, sandwich shop owner?" he says with a smirk. His blades weren't the only thing that were sharp. "Let me explain my conclusions: there would be no great legends about humanity without their presence. Even if they are not native to your world, there would be those looking to seize that power." His smirk grows ever deeper. "'Occasionally people from other worlds wind up here.' 'It just happens.' That sounds very convenient. Are there, by any chance......kidnappings?" He practically tastes the last word, tongue flicking out from his maw. More delicious than food.

He briefly looks to Juliana and Maglev, but otherwise stands cautiously. Was this a kidnapping? It would be easy for certain Pokemon to sense the human soul within them. And it appeared he was far from the only one to come in place of their leader.
...well, if it was the case its pretty likely that this lil sharpie isn't the one who kidnapped them, though they are still.. off-putting, why is it always the small unassuming mons that pack a punch?, they return the look, before returning to examining the immediate area, still wary of the lil Pawniard
"I guess that make a little sense, seeing how some of us here claim to be human... but then how and WHY exactly would we be sent HERE? If someone were to kidnap me, the LAST thing I'd expect them to do would be to give me a free sandwich." Here goes, Detective Blitz is on the case! Oh Arceus, he was LOSING it...
"At the very least we get food" he says as he looks around, searching around for anything notable while still providing Israfel shade

Blitz officially thought that this Metang might've been the most level-headed one here. "Food is fine, but information would be better..." he ended up finally taking a bit out of his PB&J, apparently just now remembering it was there. Tasted like home... he hoped everyone else was doing well without him...

He blinked a couple of tears out of his eyes. No, you are not going to cry. Especially not in front of these people. Grow up!

Shadow finds a spot that is out of the way enough to sit and lean. Yawning a little visibly unbothered by this rather odd situation.

"I guess you don't have them in your world? they're called sandwiches, here." as they hand over the sandwich the noivern made for Israfel, "usually its bread with some type of filling between them at the very least"

The big red dragon shakes his head. "No, I don't even know what bread is. The only food where I'm from are different kind of mushrooms and a few plants." He sniffs to guide his maw closer to the sandwich, and awkwardly tries to grab it with his hand. He keeps sniffing it skeptically, and feels around it to figure out his shape what with still being mostly blind.

He eventually bites down the end. His face lights up almost immediately as he chews fast and swallow. "Oh what the heck?" he says, gobbling down the rest of it, even coughing as he lightly chokes. "What was that? Why was it so good? Do you have any other food to try? I never had anything like this in my entire life."

(OOC note: I do not want to have a running gag of Israfel liking sandwiches, despite Scarlet and Violet. He's reacting this way because he's never had real food in his life and this just so happened to be sandwiches, but I don't want him to be treated like he's sandwich obsessed, it gets annoying for me.)

"Hm.... Do people know why?" Taken a bit aback with how casual the Noivern answered, definitely not the same world they've been taken to before, kinda weird how quickly he's getting used to this, at this point it wouldnt really be the first time anyways, Maglev follows up:

"..If its that common enough, do you know any places we can stay?"
Astra looks between Maglev and and Noivern. "Please tell me that there's some way back to our homes. If I loose my home, I might..." Tears well up in his eyes, threatening to fall. "... I don't know what I would do."

Blitz immediately wanted to comfort him, so he walked up to the Treecko and gently tried patting him on the back. That's what Pokémon do when they're trying to comfort someone right? "Hey, it's ok... we'll find a way. I promise," he whispered, trying to sound as reassuring as possible.

"If someone were to kidnap me, the LAST thing I'd expect them to do would be to give me a free sandwich."
The Pawniard snickers and shakes his head at Blitz without saying why. Oh, how he would love to explain that the food could be poisoned, laced with sleep powder, or all manners of things. A twisted trap for an unsuspecting victim. How they lack caution, lack imagination. But he wants to keep his claws concealed for now, and in case their host is not hostile. The only hint to that is that he has not so much as glanced at his own sandwich.

“I trust that we will get back to our respective worlds…… and if completion of our task doesn’t do it ill be up for bullying whoever here has dominion over space for it.”
This illicits another laugh from the nameless one. This is very clearly positive, even before he speaks. "Well said," he approves. Nothing will stop them from returning home. He wonders: what sort of bullying did this phantom owl have in mind? A quill through the eye? A curse upon the soul? He could think of all manner of things he could manage. After all, there is no difference between a common animal and those bestowed roles by the progenitor: both can be cut.

Blitz shoots him a confused look, figuring that's a safer option compared to glaring at him. There was something about them that was somehow both unsettling and admirable. Like he knew more then he was letting on. Having a look in his eyes, like he was trying to calculate how exactly he could take you down in a fight. Creepy, but intriguing.

Suddenly, the PB&J tasted like sawdust in Blitz's beak. He had just lost his appetite...

Fray giggled. She was no stranger to being dropped in other worlds. After becoming friends with her trainer, it became a somewhat common occurrence honestly, this was probably the fourth world she's been in. So, seeing people being all worried and scared was sorta weird to her since it wasn't really a problem to her.

"Aw, don't cry. I'm sure it'll work out! My friends and I always find ourselves in new worlds all the time! Mr Noivern probably has a way to send us back if we all ask politely!"

She finally decided to eat the sandwich she had received. It tasted slightly different than what she was used to, most likely because of her taste buds being slightly different now that she was a pokemon. Regardless, it was delicious.

Eventually, she came to a conclusion and told her idea to the other off-worlders.

"The Noivern seems sincere in his words. I believe he was not the one to bring us here. Instead, I'd assume it was the doing of something or someone else, be it a legendary pokemon or some other kind of pokemon with this power. If it's even a pokemon at all..."

"Maybe Arceus has a sense of humor," Blitz quipped. "Could've been worse."
"Arceus? You mean like... the creator of literally the entire universe? I learned about it at Naranja Academy when I was in Paldea."

She was intrigued by Blitz's mention of the Original One. After all, one of her teachers at school did often talk about it during lessons. She personally found the things he had said regarding Giratina to be a bit suspicious, but she didn't mention it in order to be more respectful to her education.

"Don't lose hope yet!" Blitz decided to go with his gut as to how to comfort the Treecko. "You need to have faith that we'll figure it out. Trust me, hanging onto hope is the best way to keep going. I promise, we'll find a way." Blitz finished his speech, not sure if it was inspiring or incredibly cheesy. Maybe a bit of both.

They were shockingly calm about this, considering the situation that they were in. "You're taking this surprisingly well. What other 'weird things' have happened to you?" Blitz tried not to sound nosy, moreso curious. Hopefully, that's how it sounded.
