Hows the game treating you? Is it on your wish list, or merrily docked in your switch 1(2)?

I'm going to wait a couple weeks and see how opinions shake out once the hype wears off a bit, but I'm hearing positive things so far!

Just want to request that anyone who wants to talk about ZA stuff that hasn't been previewed in a trailer thus far put it under a spoiler tag so that people avoiding info until they play the games for themselves don't encounter spoilers here.

I'm enjoying it a lot! There are many things I miss from Legends: Arceus, but overall it's been great. I am still in the tutorial so Urbaine is constantly calling me whenever I try to go somewhere unaccompanied. The real time battling system is fun, though I have yet to do anything with it in depth. It definitely looks really good - it's what I've always thought Pokemon battles would look like if they weren't turn-based.

Despite how limited the urban environment is variety-wise, I like how the world feels. Not all Pokemon act the same. Flabebe tend to be non-violent and even curious about you, but Litleo are aggressive and it's on sight if they catch you in their territory. Magikarp's attempt at battling you involves jumping out of the river and flopping helplessly on a bridge. It continues the same sense of world-building that Legends: Arceus did of "these are creatures existing in a context and they're not all going to act in an interchangeable way." I really like that and I hope to see more of it!

The graphics are not as bad as I thought they would be from the previews where you see lots of flat textures everywhere. There are still some gratuitous uses of textures where some modeling really would have made things pop, but overall the game looks and feels good. I'm playing on the Switch 2.

I've only been playing for a few hours, so these are just my initial impressions! I really like it so far and I can't wait to get deeper into it.
