Taking part to make myself make some actual progress reading again! Specifically, I'm hoping to read chapters 5 and 6 of Timeslip.

Got done reading! I don't really have any profound thoughts, but I can say that I definitely like a lot of the details. I think my favorite part of this story so far is all the prehistoric wildlife and how Sada's tribe interacts with them. Like Pikachu being seen as a vermin (btfooooooooooo) and being able to follow the Paradox Ekans to nests with eggs and rob them. Also the Ekans have little forelegs still???????????? i love

Recommend anyone who's interested in the premise of this fic to check it out!

I realised I hadn't actually posted what I wanted to read, but I left my impression for the newest episode of Gakutensoku in the thread. I'm always impressed by how Blackjack manages to absolutely nail Arven, Nemona and Penny's "voices".

I hope to manage to do even half as well when they are going to appear in Timeslip, actually...

Heya, kinda late for this, but "late" is always better than "never", so let's just cross out that Rookidee I signed up for:

Name of fic- Journey: Death of Duty
What I Read: Chapter 4
How I Felt:

:HessStarry:

I mean, there was also a big heaping of :copyka: thrown in since we also get a glimpse of the seedy underbelly to the Gym circuit in Journey's setting, but boy was that battle choreography hype, and the story did a good job of keeping readers on their toes. I had some nitpicks about the "bleeding starfish", but otherwise the story is consistent with its own logic and does a good job at selling a gritty and fast-paced atmosphere. Even if I'm sure that Marcus' Gym Challenge is about to have some serious problems judging by the title of the next chapter.

@Joshthewriter 's work goes a little under the radar here on this site, but if you're looking for a rougher-around-the-edges Pokémon story with some top-notch action sequences, give this one a shot.

Name of fic- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Fogcut Voyage
What I Read: Chapter 3, Part 2
How I Felt:

:HessThink:

This one was a bit of an uneven experience for me. Mind you, I liked the idea behind it, especially how it incorporates Gen 9 elements into its "sea and sail" style setting. And being a simple man with simple pleasures, the transparent Xenoblade brainrot splashed about here and there and the oceanpunk premise definitely had me doing the Di Caprio meme pose a few times. That said, I felt that the chapter that I read would've been more enjoyable to read with some added polish to it.

I feel that this one's still worth giving a shot, since @Kiba Makuro has the bones of an interesting setting and story together, and depending on what ticks your boxes as a reader, it could potentially be a pretty fun ride.

Name of fic- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Dual Wills
What I Read: Special Episode 1, Part 1
How I Felt:

:HessHappy:

I mean, I still had a bit of a wall of critiques as part of the Line-by-Line, but honestly, I likely missed quite a bit since I found myself getting sucked into things. @Arukona 's setting for Dual Wills has always been a lot of fun to follow, with a cast that's fairly fleshed out, so having a chance to get to see how they and their environment were before ye olde backstory watershed moment is a real treat and definitely a very educational experience as a follower.

I'll be looking forward to seeing where this Special Episode goes, since just from what I saw of the first part of four, I can already tell that stuff brought up here is going to wind up becoming important much later on in the story, and I'm all there for it.
