For the prompt "I'm so fucking tired". I wanted to write about my favorite unethical color coded scientists!

The more I work, the sooner I can stop.

The more I work, the sooner I can achieve Paradise.

I want to go home. I want to see my son.

But I can't, not yet. Soon. Soon.

I haven't seen him in over a year. Two years. Almost three. Through a screen, through a monitor.

Area Zero is no place for him. He doesn't understand. He keeps trying to contact me.

He'll understand. He'll understand soon. Soon.

My assistant doesn't understand, doesn't understand why I don't respond, doesn't understand why I can't take five minutes to write back, five minutes away from my work

five minutes away from Paradise, five minutes further from seeing my son again

My assistant is supposed to have my own mind. I can't stop for reprogramming. Questions waste time but I can't be alone again.

Alone, alone with the brilliance of this place, I could have it all to myself but I can't be so selfish I can't be so greedy I have to keep working can't stop can't be selfish can't take a night's sleep can't take a day off

Soon everyone will share in Paradise, and we'll be a family at last, and then I can finally stop then I can finally go home then I can see my son.

But I can't, not yet. Soon.

    Soon.
